We have just said goodbye to 2014 and the amazing Christmas buffets at the Club and
now it is time to greet 2015. The weather has been sunny and bright (most of the time)
and although we had some “nip and frost” at times it was a gorgeous holiday season in
Victoria. I hope that you and yours had a chance to enjoy the many craft fairs and
beautiful Christmas lights that we are lucky enough to share in this marvelous city
we call home.
I also hope that you catch a glimpse of the amazing number of ducks that enjoy our pond
at the Club…the last time I popped in during the morning…I counted over thirty!! They
know a special spot when they find it.
Now let’s see what is coming up in not too long…
•For we Scots…Aye..…there is a luncheon for the famous bard Robbie Burns
on January 23rd. If you have never tried haggis..now is your chance. Tasting haggis helps
you understand how brave the Scots truly were/are. By the way….notice that the whisky
made it into the trifle!
•January also is a time to celebrate Chinese New Year and the Club has a
wonderful event on January 24th. The Ocean Rain Chinese Dancers will perform…they
are excellent. Remember to make reservations for this great family event.
•With February comes a chance to celebrate Valentine’s Day and treasure
special moments with those we love. On Saturday, February 14th we give you a great way
to do this with dinner featuring Prime Rib. Remember to reserve your table.
