A Visit From SantaSaturday, December 6th beginning at 2 P.M.

You better be good for goodness sake, because Santa is coming and he will be riding on a fire truck through our subdivision on Saturday, December 6th, beginning at 2 P.M.! Following Santa’s ride, he will be available for pictures at the recreation center. Don’t fight the lines at the mall – bring your children to the rec center for your chance to take your own photos! Also, Santa will have some helpers following him in their cars tossing candy to all the kids! For safety, please be sure your children stay on the sidewalk until all the vehicles have passed. Attached is Santa’s route. Please note: we offer our sincere apologies, but the fire truck will not be going down any cul – de – sac streets. It is very hard to maneuver the truck around.

See the map of Santa's Route in the online newseltter at:

Constable’s CornerBy Sergeant James Rouse

• Never lay packages or your purse on top of your vehicle.• Always have your keys out and ready to open your car door when

approaching your vehicle. Approach your car from the front or the back so you can see anybody hiding in between vehicles.

• Report any suspicious behavior to law enforcement. If you are planning to go away for the holiday season, please keep the following in mind:• Activate your home security system if applicable.• Keep all window blinds closed to afford no view into your home. • Have the newspaper and other regularly delivered items stopped,

or ask a neighbor to pick them up. A pile of newspapers in the driveway is a clear indicator that no one has been home for several days.

• Before leaving on a road trip, check your vehicle for mechanical problems. Most area shops offer this service for a reasonable fee, and it will help avoid being stranded away from home.

We hope you have a safe and happy holiday season.Harris County Constables Office, Precinct 4281-376-3472

The holiday season means making plans for shopping, traveling and spending time with the family. As police officers, we know that the season is replete with opportunities for crime. We would like to pass on some safety tips to keep in mind:• Always lock your car, even if you’re only leaving it for a short

time.• Do not leave valuables visible in your car. Radar detectors,

packages, radios, and cameras attract attention and tempt thieves. Remember: “Out of sight, out of mind”.

• Make sure all your windows are rolled up completely. Use any anti-theft devices you have, such as alarms, clubs, etc.

• Park in a well lit areas.• Stay alert. Crooks prey on those that look distracted by typical

holiday rush.• Be conservative in wearing expensive jewelry and other personal

accessories and limit the amount of cash and credit cards you carry.

• Go shopping in groups of good friends and family. If you must go alone, take advantage of mall parking lot escorts and shuttle services.
