Hello everyone and welcome back!

So nice to see all the smiling faces and brimming enthusiasm for

the start of a new year.

With many changes to staff I would like to officially welcome our

new Junior room teacher, Ashleigh Lynch to Cascade, along with

Ms Michel Todd and Ms Tania Barnes, who will share the MCS

role until it is filled from the advertisement. Tania will also take up

the School Officer role vacated by Greta Ayers until this is also

finalised.

Tania brings with her two new students Emily and Brianna to the

Senior room.

It is with much regret, that I also farewell Viola Barz from her role

as Library Officer. Viola has worked at Cascade for many years

and we wish her all the best for her new endeavours. Keep an

eye out for a farewell gathering, dates to be determined.

Along with this, Marcela Roberts will vacate her position at Cas-

cade for another year and Mrs Christine Edwards will teach HASS

and support in the Senior room. We welcome Christine from

Munglinup PS.

We are also in the process of appointing Sue Bain to the cleaning

position previously filled by Michel.

As you are all probably aware we have only just reinstated our

internet after having our main switch replaced and this has put us

behind in our initial procedures hence the newsletter coming out

this week but I am confident in the abilities of our new staff and

I’m sure things will be up and running smoothly soon.

Preparations for the sports carnivals has also begun and we have

a coach employed especially for this role, Lize Mari Behrens who

will be providing DOTT for teachers this term. She will be special-

ising in athletics for Term One.
