Hanson Vision “G2” (second generation) dissolution instruments represent a significant upgrade from the original Vision testers introduced in 2008, as well as a brand new robust autosampling platform. Our new G2 operating platform combines rock-solid mechanics with a full-color touchscreen, intuitive instrument programming, up to 100 operating protocols, 21CFR11-compliant security, a convenient flash drive for instrument uploads and downloads, and 32-bit digital technology.

The Vision Elite 8 is available in an expanded 2 L “High Stand” configuration. Large-volume 2 L testing is sometimes preferred for high-concentration drug formulations. The 2 L Elite 8 system with its deeper waterbath allows for dissolution testing with traditional 1 L vessels, as well as with larger-volume 2 L vessels. The AutoMag is also available in a 2 L configuration for automatic sampling and Digital Temperature Probes. The 2 L Elite 8 may be ordered direct from the factory; a 2 L Conversion Kit is also available for 1 L system field retrofits.

The Hanson Immersion Cell is designed for use with the flat-bottom vessel to eliminate dead volume. The cell uses standard 25 mm filter disks, and its 3 mm deep dosage area provides for testing of infinite dose topical applications. Immersion Cells with convenient assembly tool and grip tool are available as a set; extra cells may be ordered separately. Designed for release-rate testing of ointments and other topical preparations in the convenience of standard dissolution test equipment. See USP <1724> for further information.

Immersion Cell (for flat-bottom small volume vessels; order one for each position)

The Hanson Chinese Small volume (CSV) dissolution system is based on the official method listed in the Chinese pharmacopeia. The CSV system includes a larger media vessel (250 mL typical) than the traditional small volume dissolution method (100-150 mL typical) commonly used in some special applications. The CSV adapts to Hanson Vision dissolution testers, and provides a mid-range volume for applications that require less media volume than standard 500 or 900 mL dissolution tests, but more than traditional small volume. Fixed vessel-mount probes or the SuperMag (Elite 8) are used. The CSV vessel has an inside diameter of 62 mm (+/- 3 mm) in conformance with the Chinese pharmacopeia, and it is available in both clear and amber glass.

Vision® AutoFilter™ ChangerThe Vision AutoFilter is a filter changer that automatically introduces 25 mm syringe filters into the fluidic path of your dissolution samples. Designed as a seamless addition to Hanson’s Vision family of quality test equipment, the Vision AutoFilter brings a new approach to automated filter changing. It allows you to increase the life of your filters by allowing fluidic steps to take place with or without a filter.

The Vision AutoFilter automatically introduces filters into the fluidic path, removes them if desired, and returns them to position or discards them—all of which is completely programmable. The Vision AutoFilter not only saves you money on filters, but also saves you time by eliminating the need for you to manually disconnect and reconnect fluidic lines. The Transfer Module, OEM manufactured exclusively for Waters, has been designed for direct interfacing with the Alliance HPLC system with Empower™ software. The Waters Alliance System for Dissolution offers on-line sampling, transfer, and HPLC analysis for 6- and 8-sample dissolution baths. SR8-Plus™ Small Volume Kits & Hanson Immersion CellHanson Small Volume accessories are used for low concentration drug formulations and other special applications when small volume dissolution media is required. The 150 mL round-bottom vessel is patterned after the standard USP 1 liter vessel; the flat-bottom vessel is used with the Hanson Immersion Cell. The mini-paddle is patterned after the USP Apparatus 2 paddle. Small Volume Kits for the SR8-Plus include mini-paddle, 150 mL vessel with special vessel cover (choice of round or flat-bottom vessel), and adapter for use on the SR8-Plus vessel plate. Extras may be ordered separately. Small Volume Probe Retrofit Kits (replaces the Sample Probe Kit) are ordered separately (1 per position).

The Hanson Immersion Cell is designed for use with the flat-bottom vessel to eliminate dead volume. The cell uses standard 25 mm filter disks, and its 3 mm deep dosage area provides for testing of infinite dose topical applications. Media-Mate Plus™ Automatic Prep SystemThe Hanson Media-Mate Plus delivers pre-heated, filtered, deaerated, volumetrically dispensed media to six or seven dissolution vessels in less than five minutes, and it has been updated (Oct 2012) to provide improved performance in deaeration (dissolved oxygen now below 6 ppm) and reduced unusable volume in the media tank (from 8 to 2 L). Built on a unique ergonomic cart, the Media-Mate Plus offers maximum portability for easy servicing of many dissolution test stations.

Interchangeable pre-heat tanks accommodate 10-40 L media and buffers with precision temperature control. Delivery volume is adjustable 250 to 1,000 mL in 50 mL increments. Media deaeration is below 95% saturation when delivered to dissolution vessels (deaeration is achieved using thin film treatment in a vacuum). The convenient dispense bar fills 3+3, 4+2 or 4+3 vessel layouts. A special dispense bar is available for the Sotax AT7 tester.

Performance upgrade kits are available for existing Media-Mate Plus units.

Vision® Microette™ Automated Test SystemThe Vision Microette (2014) is a modern update of the popular Hanson MicroettePlus (introduced in 2001), including all the feature and performance characteristics of its predecessor, and more. The system provides precise automatic sampling from topical Vertical Diffusion Cells and collection into HPLC or UPLC vials for sample analysis. For reference, see USFDA Guideline SUPAC-SS, and USP <1724> Semisolid Drug Products – Performance Tests.

The Vision Microette system automates sampling from groups of 6 Vertical Diffusion Cells for extensive unattended tests, and handles surfactants, saline, and hydroalcoholic receptor solutions. The Microette is an ideal research and quality control tool for the study of topical and transdermal drug delivery formulations, as well as ophthalmics, cosmetics, skin care products, and pesticides.

The Vision Microette now includes two models: a versatile “multi-group” system handling up to 3 sets of Vertical Diffusion Cells (VDCs), and a lower cost “single-group” system automating 1 set of VDCs. Both models incorporate Hanson “AutoPlus” technology, and include a precision 6-channel syringe pump, PEEK valves and inert sample tubing, user-friendly programming with touchscreen graphical display, up to 100 test protocols, ComSwitch for system communications, automatic media replace at time of sampling, jacketed media replace beaker, cell volume evaluation kit, and supply kit. HRCare service, maintenance, installation, and validation programs are designed to bring you the confidence of “audit-proof” dissolution lab validation. We support every maintenance, calibration, and validation protocol with ISO 9001:2008 quality documentation. HRCare programs are available to all U.S. customers. HRCare

ASTM ProgramHanson HRCare provides ASTM E2503-13 mechanical qualification, in addition to comprehensive IQ/OQ/PQ, service, and extended warranty programs. HRCare ASTM mechanical qualification is available for Hanson SR8-Plus and Vision dissolution testers, including older units already installed and in use. A suitable PM program is recommended for all older equipment. The Hanson HRCare team is factory-trained and certified on all aspects of instrument qualification, service, and preventive maintenance.

Hanson ASTM Certificates of Conformity (COCs) are available for USP accessories (vessels, paddles, baskets, and shafts), detailing all relevant ASTM dimensions and tolerances. These quality accessories, with corresponding COCs, are required for ASTM. Certificates of Analysis (COAs), recording actual dimensional measurements, are available for USP accessories on special order (please note that a COA is not required for ASTM when a COC is available). A convenient “pre-scan” to evaluate previously installed equipment is available prior to full ASTM mechanical qualification.

Design Qualification DQs (Design Qualification documents) are available upon customer request for Hanson equipment. Please consult Hanson for details.

PAYMENT TERMS:All banking charges are for buyer’s account. Those charges should be accounted for prior to payment so that Hanson receives the full amount shown on invoice. Banking charges for letters or credit are buyer’s responsibility.Domestic: Prepayment or Net 30 days for established accounts subject to approved credit limit (unless otherwise specified on quotation). Prepayment for new accounts, until credit is granted.International: Prepayment or confirmed irrevocable Letter of Credit, payable at sight in U.S. dollars (unless otherwise specified on quotation). Hanson Research Corporation’s (HRC’s) banking information will be provided at time of order confirmation. Any other payment arrangements may only be made with approval by CEO or CFO. Payment terms may not be changed after order confirmation is accepted without approval by CEO or CFO.

SHIPMENT TERMS: Domestic: Orders will be invoiced as “Prepay and Add” shipments via an HRC contracted carrier, unless otherwise specified on purchase order.International: Orders will be shipped on an Ex-Works, Chatsworth, CA-Freight Collect basis, unless otherwise agreed upon. All shipping terms & carrier selection will be confirmed by a written HRC confirmation, based on an accepted purchase order. When carrier is not specified on purchase order or prior to shipment, HRC reserves the right to use a contracted carrier. Any shipments paid for as CAD must be shipped via HRC contracted carrier with buyer responsible for all charges. SHIPMENTS: HRC assumes no responsibility for delay or damage of goods after delivery to carrier for all Ex-Works and Collect shipments. For “Prepay and Add” or CIF shipments, all damage claims must be reported within 5 calendar days of receipt to both HRC and the carrier. All damage claims not reported within the 5 calendar day period will not be reviewed or accepted. HRC will render all possible assistance in securing satisfactory adjustment for claims accepted by carrier.

DELIVERY: The estimated delivery date quoted is our best approximation of order shipment. HRC assumes no liability for loss, general damages, or special or consequential damages due to delays.

CANCELLATIONS & RETURNED GOODS: Cancellations and return of goods are accepted only at the sole discretion of HRC. In the event that buyer cancels delivery of any product purchased hereby prior to the date of shipment, buyer agrees to pay HRC, in addition to any costs and expenses incurred by us in connection with this order, a 10% (ten percent) cancellation charge. After shipment, buyer agrees to obtain written authorization from HRC for any return. If return of goods is authorized, buyer agrees to pay HRC, in addition to any costs and expenses incurred by us in connection with this order, all transportation charges and a restocking charge not to exceed 25% (twenty-five percent.) The return of custom or special items will not be permitted.

GENERAL WARRANTY: HRC products are warranted for one full year including parts and labor. Service contracts and Preventive Maintenance contracts are available for post-warranty support. International dealer warranties may vary. HRC makes no warranty, expressed or implied, for glassware, consumables, or products not manufactured by HRC, as evidenced by nameplate on the item or other designation. HRC will give responsible assistance to buyer in obtaining from the respective manufacturer whatever adjustment is reasonable in light of manufacturer’s own warranty. HRC shall be released from any and all obligations under any warranty, either expressed or implied, if the product covered is repaired or modified by other than its own personnel, or made without written authorization from HRC. There are no other warranties, expressed or implied, and HRC shall not be liable under any circumstances for consequential damages.

FORCE MAJEURE: The parties to this agreement shall not be held liable in damages or have the right to terminate this agreement for failure or delay in the performance of any of its terms as a result of conditions beyond their control, such as--but not limited to--war, strikes, fires, floods, acts of God, governmental restrictions, power failures, or damage or destruction of any network facilities or servers.

APPLICABLE LAW: This agreement is made and entered into in the State of California, U.S.A., and shall be governed by its laws.

ENTIRE TERMS, CONDITIONS & WARRANTY: These terms, conditions and warranty constitute the entire terms, conditions and warranty as to their subject matter and supersede all prior and contemporaneous oral and written agreements.
