The brand logo mark, applied in black ink throughout the kraft paper stock printed deliverables, and against bold white/repeat pattern heart print through web-based outcomes is based on the font ‘Abraham Lincoln’, visually inspired by classic screenprinted type, with an elegant finish. The logo is completed with a heart replacing the dotted ‘i’, incorporating visual elements and consistency with design outcomes.

A key consideration in the production of design deliverables was a way for the brand to not only promote itself to new and existing clients in a memorable, visually consistent and professional approach, but also to maintain an aesthetic identity throughout all design outcomes, helping to increase levels of brand awareness and recognition.

Kraft paper stock has been consistently used throughout print outcomes, with the use of the logomark and ‘Abraham Lincoln font’, and heart shaped repeat pattern print/die cut shapes throughout.

Developed from an existing Cargo Collective website template, the CSS was edited to create a unique and consistent brand identity website for the WedThings brand.

Thumbnail hearts are utilised on the home page to distinguish separate pages, including ‘PortfolioThings’, ‘TestimonialThings’, ‘BlogThings’ and ‘WedThings’, adding a play-on-words from the brand name, as well as an easy way to distinguish categories in navigation.

Current website domain: cargocollective.com/wedthings, to be transferred to www.wedthings.co.uk in due course.

The WedThings brand promotes itself through various social media platforms, including Tumblr and Pinterest (used for inspiration and sourcing/sharing photographic images), as well as through Blogger, Facebook and Twitter, where tutorials are presented to followers and fans of the brand, as well as developing a professional and social network of potential clients and collaborators.

The visual design from the website and brand stationary is applied through both heart repeat pattern print backgrounds and use of the logomark in a bold black and white contrast.
