Handsome Clothing Co. Presents The Pangea Collection LookbookTRANSCRIPT
… After decades of exploring the universe, the scientists began to experience the effects of time. Alas, they were forced to confront the fact that their bodies and minds were beginning to deteriorate.
As they became increasingly weary, their thoughts turned to where they began their journey, their home, Earth. Upon their return they surround-ed themselves with their former comforts of friends, family, and familiar places. They then began the undertaking of documenting their travels. Months passed, and the pages of stories, lessons, and general thoughts neared the hundreds of thousands.
As their final task, they read through all they had written and began to distill it into digestible lessons of life they wished to share with others.
These are their lost lessons…
The first lesson bestowed upon the men was the knowledge of their place in the world. Although there is much to be learned about the cosmos and beyond; Earth is the setting of the story of Man. It is neces-sary to extensively study what their tangible world is made up of, for treasures are abundant throughout the planet.
The Scientist
The second lesson was of empathy. They were told to understand and have compassion for all living things. There are many perspectives and possible interpretations of a subject and the ideal path one can take is to aspire to examine life from all possible angles. By viewing the world through other’s eyes, one can see the world through a higher self.
Elevated Perspective
Light Within
The third lesson was one of inward love. Before one can learn to love the world around them, they must learn to love themselves. Insecurity in oneself is often misinterpreted and is felt by an undeserving outside world. By nurturing ourselves, we inevitably better our environment and the world as a whole.
One Peoples
The next lesson was one of history. They were shown the images and symbols of all cultures over time which revealed the similarities in their humble beginnings. From this they understood how small the differ-ences between all cultures and people actually are. They understood they must accept this truth of oneness.
The final lesson spoke of death. To fully understand and appreciate life, one must deal with the inevitable truth that all that once lived will perish. This truth has a duality that was both humbling and liberating. Time contains all life.
