It’s been more than 30 years since Barbara Holdsworth started making chocolates from a small unit in her home town of Bakewell in the Peak District. Driven by a passion for
chocolate and the firm belief that a market existed for luxury handmade chocolates, she began to blend the best possible ingredients from around the world to realise her dream.
Made to her unique recipes and exacting standards, the result was a range of exquisite chocolates and truffles in beautifully designed packaging, that quickly acquired an enviable
reputation as one of ‘the’ chocolate experiences. Holdsworth Chocolates was born.
Today, lead by her daughter Genevieve, our manufacturing processes have changed very little and although Barbara retired over 10 years ago, her spirit and passion for creating
the finest handcrafted chocolates still runs through the heart of everything we do.
We are not a major supermarket brand and our focus is on retail partners who provide great shopping experiences to people who care about their food and want to be be
surprised and delighted by quality products and great customer service.
By offering our customers a unique luxury chocolate experience, that also delivers great value in the premium sector, Holdsworth have become one of the UK’s best known luxury
handmade chocolate brands.
