Our Style 1 Tri-cone shares many of its’ features with the original National Tricone created by the Dopyera brothers in the late 1920’s. The brass body is polished to a mirror-like shine and nickel plated. The mahogany neck, finished in a rich mahogany burst, has an ivo-roid bound ebony fingerboard. The vintage-style tun-ing machines sit on a traditional slotted headstock, complete with our distinctive National shield decal.

Our flagship model, the Style O recreates the look and feel of the original 1930’s single resonator guitars. This brass bodied instrument is polished to a mirror-like shine, nickel plated, and finally etched with the distinctive Ha-waiian palm tree design. The maple neck is finished in a traditional sun-burst. An ivoroid bound ebony fret-board and vintage-style engraved tun-ers complete the look of this time-less classic.

Introduced in 2009, our new Triolian is a reissue of an early 1930’s W-Series Triolian. The thin-gauge steel body is highlighted with a formed back, and traditional sieve-hole coverplate. Each body is hand painted in walnut-burst to capture the look of the originals. The maple neck clears 12 frets to the body and features an ivoroid-bound rosewood

fretboard complete with inlaid mother-of-pearl po-sition markers. Tuners are vintage-style engraved, open gear. Available Versions

The ResoRocket is one of our newly designed single resonator guitars. This model incorporates a rede-signed coverplate pattern to complement the dis-tinctive Tricone-style grill work. The upper bout has been modified for easier access to the higher frets. This brass body guitar is highly polished and bright nickel plated. The maple neck has an engraved pearloid headstock overlay and mother-of-pearl dia-mond position markers.

Considered by most to be the loudest National Guitar produced, if you”re looking for a modern twist to an old time instrument your search is over.

Our Resolectric has gone through a few changes in its 19 years of production. The current model uses an audiophile-quality Highlander preamp to mix both the mag-netic and piezo elec-tric pickups. A Jason Lollar P-90 pickup sits in the neck position, and a Highlander pi-ezo transducer is fit-ted under the saddle. The output of each pickup is controlled by independent vol-ume knobs, with a master volume knob to control the instru-ment’s overall output level. A 3-way toggle switch selects which pickups are active. The solid mahogany body is capped with

a figured maple top bound in ivoroid. The figured ma-ple neck clears 14 frets to the body, highlighted with

a diamond inlaid, rosewood fret-

board.

Our NRP model captures the look and feel of an original 12 fret National Duolian. The thin-gauge steel body is highlighted by flat cut “f” holes, a formed back, and period-correct, traditional non-ribbed coverplate. Each body is hand painted to capture the look of the originals. Each mahogany neck clears 12 frets to the body and features an unbound ebony fretboard complete with mother-of-pearl position markers. Vintage-style plain tuners, ebony nut, and “National” stamped headstock complete the look of this classic.

Designed in collaboration with Mike Dowling, this

single cone guitar is patterned after the famous El Trovador

produced from 1932-1933. Similar to its

predecessor, our El Trovador guitar

features a large, 4” deep body constructed

of mahogany. The body is bound in

multilayer celluloid, with a matching

purfling border around the coverplate. A wood soundwell

houses the resonator. An ebony

fretboard is mated to a solid mahogany neck, capped with a

rosewood headstock overlay. The El

Trovador’s deep, unique voice has made it our most popular guitar in

recent years.

After years of research and development, National Reso-Phonic Guitars is proud to introduce to you our new wood-body M-1 Tricone! At nearly 3.3 lbs. lighter than its metal-body counterpart, this instrument features laminated mahogany body construction, highlighted by a sturdy wood soundwell and hand-painted steel cover- plate. The new M-1 combines the unmistakable sound of a Tricone with the warmth of a wood-body. Outfitted with our new-alloy cones and aluminum T-bridge, we believe this instrument to be quite versatile.

This is our classic, steel body guitar with a modern crystalline lacquer finish that replicates the “frosted Duco” used on Nationals from the 1930s. It is a traditionalnitrocellulose material and has the same basic characteristics as the nitrocellulose finishes used on fine wooden instruments. Irregularities in the surface are sometimes present due to the additives that form the crystals. These finishes will amber with age. It will also exhibit wear when confronted with metal finger picks and metal slides. So, treat this guitar with the same care that you would a fine instrument finished in nitrocellulose lacquer.

The Estralita Deluxe, de-veloped in 2001, is con-structed of walnut back

and sides, figured maple laminate top triple bound

with ivoroid/black/ivoroid. The walnut neck

features an ivoroid bound rosewood fingerboard

with mother-of-pearl diamond inlays. The slot-ted headstock is overlaid with white pearloid and

engraved with the Na-tional logo. Tuners are

vintage-style engraved, open gear.

Our new mandolin spent two years in R&D before finally making it into production in January

of 2005. It has traditional features such as a biscuit bridge and vintage-style open gear tuners,

combined with modern appointments, including an intonated saddle and a comfortably radiused,

extended fretboard. The neck is made from highly figured maple. The body is carved from two-

piece walnut, with a figured maple top. The Art-Deco cast tailpiece and antique brass parts are

exclusive to this instrument. Order yours with an optional National hotplate pickup system.
