Training of hand hygiene Poor hand hygiene can be the cause of many cases of illness, both in humans but also in animal production units. It is estimated that more than 30% of infections in the food area could be avoided with correct hand hygiene.

Training of correct hand hygiene works:

Bars show how many in the test group that did not pass the 95% mark for hand hygiene on test 1-5.

Method: 1. Disperse a normal dose of the fluorescent disinfectant/lotion and rub it on to

the hands as for normal use.

2. Place the hands in the cabinet and check if the complete surface lights up

evenly. Make sure to check between fingers, side of hands etc. Repeat the

treatment until the complete surface is fluorescent.

3. Wash the hands thoroughly, dry and check again in the cabinet. The

areas that still glow, has not been washed sufficiently.

5. Repeat and check for improvements
