    Hanoko Storyline- Edit 4

    Sams Edit #2

First, I put together a timeline. It goes in chronological order, despite the fact that

some events are revealed later in the story. I've separated the story into four

different sections which I've marked the beginning and end of. Also note that this

is very basic and rough, and certain events may not make sense outside the

context of a deeper description. I recommend you read the full story first (starts

right below the timeline) and then use the timeline as a tool to wrap your mind

    around it.

Feel free to edit it as you add/remove any part of the story. Just be sure to leave

a note as to why you changed said area.

    [Section One]

-Hanoko's Father works under project Hex

-Develops the Time Amulet and the Flower Clip

-Turns on Hex and is "killed"

    [Section Four]

(This is the least complete section really something we should all work on

    together)

-Hanoko and the resistance prepare for their final battle with Hex

-Hex unveils its perfected version of the super-human serum, releases it to the

    general public

-Rumor spreads that Hex has used the new serum to create the "perfect human"

-(skipping a bunch of stuff that could happen here)

    -The final battle

Ok, so that's the timeline. As you can tell there's room between each of these

events for, well, anything really. This is simply a very, very rough outline of the

major events that I created. There's a lot more happening behind the scenes ofthis, and it doesn't necessarily portray each of the events as we would portray

them in the story. It is what it is: a timeline.

Now the real script. I've also divided this into the same four sections as I did

above and added in a backstory section, which is basically where we put in all

the stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else. It's definitely more detailed than the

timeline, but you'll notice that several sections are still a little less than complete.

Keep in mind this is really still just an outline. But it's a start.

    [Backstory]

Status: Semi-complete, always open for changes and additions

Estimated episodes: None, it's just stuff that we reveal throughout the story

Time frame: Spans the entire story

Set in the year 2137*. The economy has struggled severely worldwide, causingthe entire planet to fall into a global depression. Much of the world is

overpopulated, leaving may of it's citizens starving, sometimes even dying of

hunger. Most major cities (including the one Hanoko lives in) have become

emense concrete jungles, with people living anywhere they can find and doing

whatever they need to do to survive. Skyscrapers tower over every block, trying

to accommodate the overwhelming population. We'll go more in-depth about the

  • 8/3/2019 Hanako Storyline

    4/20

actual backdrop for the part of the story when it comes time to start drawing.

Many governments are weakening, even collapsing, due to their inability to

control and provide for their populations because of the crumbling economy. The

world is on the verge of anarchy, with many parts of it already succumbing to

    chaos.

    -Hex Corp.

Hex Corp started out as a government program researching in the fields of

human advancement. Their job was to find common problems in people's

everyday lives and then create ways to fix them. However, the government shut

it down due to a lack of funding after the economy took a turn for the worse. But

the scientist working on the team (including Hanoko's father) were on the verge

of a breakthrough in a new project which would make man immune to all natural

diseases. They couldn't let all their research go to waste, so they continued theirwork in secret, using their own money as funding. But since the government was

no longer watching over their shoulder they decided to take the project one step

further and give the subjects supernatural powers. Hanoko's father was the team

expert on all things supernatural. They created the serum, and were ready to

test it on a subject, but Hanoko's father thought it was morally wrong, and at the

last minuet threatened to report their activities (which were highly illegal at the

time) to the government. The rest of the team, it their thirst for power and fame,

killed him and destroyed all traces that he was ever a part of them. They

continued on with their experimentations and tested the serum on human test

subjects, who eventually become our four main heros.

    Hanoko's Father-

As previously mentioned, he was the Hex corp expert on all things

supernatural. The plans that Hex had made for the superhuman serum required

an immense amount of power to create, and so they had him research ways to

power their experiment. In his research he found evidence which lead him to

believe that there might be some truth behind an old myth about an ancient gem

said to hold unlimited power. He searched for years, blah blah blah, andeventually found it (much more epic than described). However, upon finding it he

decided that it was too risky for any one person to be able to possess unlimited

power, so he split the gem into three fragments. He returned from his journey

and presented Hex with only one of the fragments, secretly saving the other two

for himself. He went on to use one of the fragments to create Hanoko's flower

clip and the other to create his time-travel amulet. He then utilizes the time travel

  • 8/3/2019 Hanako Storyline

    5/20

amulet to execute an elaborate scheme in which he betrays Hex Corp, fakes his

own death, and then travels throughout time helping Hanoko behind the scenes.

He makes several appearances in the story line as a "mystery man", and towards

the end of the story his true identity is revealed.

    Hanoko's Mother-

Hanoko's mother was in cahoots with with her husband, Hanoko's father, in

his plan to fake his own death in order to escape Hex Corp. Their plan all along

was for him to fake his own death, for her to "sell" Hanoko to Hex, and then for

her to eventually join Hex as a business executive so she could keep Hanoko

safe, while her Father looks after her through his time-traveling role.

    Theme-

So far I think we've decided that one of the main themes should be adeviation of the classic "no one can do it alone" thing and tweak it to "no one

shoulddo it alone". We demonstrate this through showing how the unlimited

power Hanoko has access to ultimately corrupts her, to the point where she must

keep her clip on almost all the time. Also, I get the sense we're going for a "value

in individuality theme". The main villain is against individuality and wants a

utopian society of sorts. Maybe even stretch it to "the value of humanity"? Like

how the serum almost deprives you of humanity. We still have a lot of room for

work on this portion of the story.

    The Flower Clip-

As mentioned before, Hanoko's flower clip was crafted by her father to

protect her from herself and others looking to exploit her powers. It drastically

lowers her ability to use the powers given to her by the serum. At first Hanoko

has no idea of its influence, but she eventually realizes that she gains access to

her full power when she takes it off. No one else knows about it either, until Hex

corp makes the discovery that the gem they have been using to power the

creation of the serum is only a fragment of its full self. Then they somehow figure

out that Hanoko has a piece of it in her clip, and they release this information to

the world. This makes the clip the target of countless theft attempts, puttingHanoko in further danger. This makes the flower clip both a liability and an asset

    for her.

    [Section One]

Time Frame: From the time Hanoko is born to her Initiation into fighting Hex.

    About 18 years.

Estimated Episodes: anywhere from 10 to 50, depending on the length

    Status: Pretty much complete

Hanoko's Father works for Hex corp, a former government program gone rouge

after the government cut funding to their division. Now without the government

over their shoulders, the members of Hex begin conducting highly illegal

experiments in hopes of finding a way to create a more powerful human being.

Hanoko's father, however, does not agree with their quest for power, and decides

that they must be put to an end. Hex is getting out of control, though, as theycontinue to grow as a company through illegal black market investors who want a

share in the new wonder product. And the crumbling government has bigger

issues to deal with than a group of scientists breaking some rules. So Hanoko's

father and mother devise a plan to attack Hex from the inside out by having them

create the weapon which will ultimately be their downfall: Hanoko. How they do

so and all that stuff is explained in the backstory section.

Basically, Hanoko's mother sells her to Hex as part of the plan. After shesells her Hanoko's mother gives her a flower clip, and says "This very

Important. You keep this atall times". They sell Hanoko (who is 6) to the scientists. (the scientists have 3other test subjects)

Alaisa's Note: I don't think that they should "sell" her but didn'thave enough money to support the family and told her that she hadto go away until they were finacially stable. Because to theaudience it would seem like they don't want her and all of a suddenthey want her back.

2 male:Takoa - Age eight. Humble and gracious, but also has a strong sense ofjustice. Makes a very good leader. Tall, and likes his mouse-brown hair keptwild and crazy.

Hitoshi - Age five. He is feisty, strong-willed and headstrong. Sometimesimpatient, it is in his nature to get things done as quickly as possible, as soonas possible. Loves to run.

    7/20

1 female:Aimi- Age six. Very fun - Attractive and loves to dance.

Alaisa's Note: Don't forget to add that she loves to swim as well.

They Inject all subjects with the serum. Hanoko is the only one with thefever, though. She is the only one with the fever because the flower clip thatshe wears is fighting the serum, trying to cancel it out. Not severe, butpainful. She starts to sweat in bed and she wakes up in a bad jitter, like aftera bad nightmare. She has no idea whats going on, blurry vision. She'sdisoriented and has little control over herself. She opens a sliding windowbecause she's hot from her fever, but in doing so she triggers an alarm.Shes scared and has no idea what to do. At this point her hearing is reallysensitive, so it really hurts her ears. She sees the shadows of men runningdown the hallway and freaks out. She's scared out of her mind and decides

to bolt, climbs out the window and runs into the forest. The scientists catcha glimpse of her running away and pursue her. The noise of the alarm andthe scientist yelling/running after her is aggravating her. Shes verydisoriented, it is hard to see. She stops at the edge of cliff-like formationwith a bridge between two cliffs, and about a fifty foot drop below. Thedoctors also stop, hoping that she won't try to cross the worn-out bridge. They approach her all calm like. Hanoko is backing up on the bridge, like ascared animal, and due to a strong shock that runs throughout her body, collapses into a position where her feet are on either side of her andbasically plopped hard on the bridge(shock), and then the bridge collapses. As she's falling though, her clip comes out and makes her fall less fatal then

It really would have been. After she fell the scientists located her and were about to bring her back tothe facility, but then a wandering stranger (mystery man father)* found her.The scientists cannot intervene, because they cannot allow the public toknow of their existence, much less their experiments. So all they can do iswatch as the stranger takes her to a hospital. And they cant very well juststeal her from the hospital either, so they're kinda stuck. They keep watchover her while she is in the hospital, and it is their top priority to make surethat no one finds out what they have done to her, since it is highly illegal atthis point in the story.

Alaisa's Note: What happends to the clip? We need to add that in sothat the audience isn't left wondering what happend.

(10 years later, age:16)Hanoko is wandering in a black void of empty space, she looks around andsees a blurry white hole in the middle of her view, growing as she walkscloser. She walks toward it, putting her right hand over her face like the suns

  • 8/3/2019 Hanako Storyline

in her eyes and keeps walking out of curiosity. When she is trough she findsherself in a hospital. She had been in a coma for the past ten years. Shewakes up from her coma panting. She doesn't know were she is, so shedecides to go explore. (she woke up right as the nurses were leaving so thenurses aren't there). Hanoko grabs her i.v (a little weakly) and wanders the

corridors (and has small flash-backs of her parents and running through theforest) she then clenches at her head and falls. Then the the doctor escortsher back to the room telling her to not be so impatient.

(Ten Years ago, Right after Hanoko escaped)After hearing word that Hanoko broke out of the facility, the three othersubjects have plotted their own escape, because they all are terrified of whatmight happen to them next in this strange laboratory. They use a bit lessblunt of a method, however, and manage to escape without being detected. After obtaining their freedom, the three band together for a while, working

together to pilfer food in a nearby city (basically street orphans). But thenan agency similar to social services finds them, separates them, and putsthem into adoptive families. HEX Corp. has been searching for them all thewhile, but thus far has not been able to locate any of them.

(3 Years After The incident,age:11 - in coma still)After the first batch of experiments all managed to escape, HEX Corp.created a new version of the serum. The alterations, besides enhancedperformance and lack of previous bugs, also included a new element whicherases all traces of memory and suppresses emotions. This new strand ofthe serum is used on a new group of experimentees, this time a willing group

of volunteers. This new group are named sleepers for their lack of memoryand emotion. They send one such sleeper (Dr. Robec) to the hospital to keepan eye on Hanoko. His power is x-ray vision, so he makes an especially goodsurgeon and is a natural fit a the hospital.

(Present)(Age 16)After Hanoko awakes from her coma and has recovered, Hex Corp has Dr.Robec adopt her as a way for him to continue watching over her. However, the social services-esque agency also checks up on her constantly to makesure that she is being treated well, so HEX corp is still unable to bring her

back to the facility and retire her as they would wish to do (since they nowhave a new and improved model). So since they can't do that they decidethat the next best thing is for Mr. Robec the sleeper to watch over herindefinitely. Hex corp also figures that Hanoko is not at risk of exposing theirpast experimentations, since she has forgotten all about it while in her coma.Hex Corp. also takes this corse of action because of the Bosswoman'saffection for Hanoko, and the fact that she wants her to have as pleasant andnormal a life as possible.

    9/20

(SCENE SHIFT - High School - Midyear, senior year)It is Mid-Senior year of school for Hanoko -she lives with the Mr. Robec, the

sleeper. However, Hanoko's mother, who is one of the higher-up leaders ofHex by this point, wants to further observe Hanoko, as any mother would. She personally issues a sleeper to follow Hanoko as a friend from school. She has tampered with the formula injected into this particular sleeper sothat he does have somewhat of a sense of emotion, but not enough that it isdetected by the scientists, so they don't catch on. She gives this sleeperorders to report directly to her with any and all information concerningHanoko. His name is Roi Tetsuhada.

    Roi TetsuhadaAge: 17

Half black, half japanese, he has the ability to speed things up and slow themdown. He wields a sword and a gun, which he will eventually learn to synchwith his power by slowing down bullets and redirecting them with his sword.

Of course Hanoko and Roi get to know each other, just as planned, and hekeeps his eye on her at all times while she is at school. Hanoko meets a girlnamed Aimi, who is one of the rouges of first group of experiments. Whenshe's in water she can breathe and do some interesting things. Her specialpower is to breath under water and create water from nothing, andmanipulate it. Aimi has a unique signature of having a bandana on all thetime due to the fact that she has small gills to breathe underwater.

Everyone else thinks its just a bad birth defect. Unlike Hanoko, Aimiremembers her days as an experiment at the laboratory, and after escapingshe is aware that agents from HEX corp are out to track her down and bringher back. However, they are still completely unaware of her location.Hanoko begins to have flashbacks to her time spent at the laboratory in theform of dreams and stuff. She can't piece it all together, but she tells herfather about her flashbacks, and he reports this back to the head of HEXcorp., who starts to worry about her fully regaining her memory and sharingit with someone. As a result of this he assigns more agents to follow Hanokoaround when she is not at school with Roi or at home with her father.(They follow her similar to how the CIA would follow a suspect of a crime).

Aimi, who has become good friends with Hanoko and spends a lot of timewith her, begins to notice these mysterious agents and worries that HEX corphas finally found her and is closing in.

Then one day Hanoko and Aimi are hanging out after school at one of theirfavorite spots in the forest on the outskirts of town. They are siting on theedge of a cliff which drops into a giant lake, with their feet dangling over the

  • 8/3/2019 Hanako Storyline

    10/20

edge. They're watching the sun set over the lake, casting hues of red andorange over the water. It's a beautiful scene. They are having a deep, sincere, heart to heart conversation about life and how messed up it is. Theytalk about some of the main themes of the story, like what if there was a wayto make all the pain go away. In this moment of trust and friendship Aimi

confides in Hanoko that she might be gone soon. She's talking about hergrowing concern that Hex is on to her, but she doesn't want to directly tellHanoko about it because she knows that Hanoko was also one of theexperiments and that she doesn't remember it. She figures that the lessHanoko knows about it the safer she is. So she just tells her that she mightbe gone soon, and that if she is not to worry about her. We have to makethis moment full of emotion and truth, and it has to highlight the strong bondof their friendship. So they're talking about all this, when suddenly Hanokohas her biggest flash-back yet, and she remembers some what hadhappened to her. The laboratory, the injection, and all the pain that camealong with it come rushing into her mind. The intensity of this flash-back is

so great that she looses consciousness for a moment, and falls off the cliff, heading towards the lake below. Aimi saves her using her powers, but indoing so she activates a signal which lets the agents of Hex Corp to knowwhere she is (like on a radar or something). They act on this immediately, and that night they kidnap Aimi and bring her back to the facility.

That night Hanoko has a dream in which her memory of Aimi's manipulationof water the previous day triggers a memory of the two of them together atthe lab facility, when Aimi first used her power, and then she remembers aman in a lab coat separating them and putting her back in her room. Sherealizes that Aimi was at the lab as well, and this leads to all sorts of

confusion. Then she thinks to herself that if they kidnaped Aimi then theymust be coming after her too (they actually weren't planning to abduct her, since they still think she doesn't remember much of what happened to her).In a fit of panic, Hanoko decides that the best corse of action for her to takeis to run and try to evade whatever agency is after her. Hanoko then tell'sRoi about her plan (they have grown to be close friends by now and she feelslike she should at least say goodbye). Of course Roi reports this back to Hexcorp, but this time he is a little hesitant to do so. This is the first point atwhich he begins to question his allegiance. Remember, he has theaugmented serum which lets him understand emotions. He begins towonder if there is maybe something to them. And despite the serum's effect

of negating most of his emotions, he has come to enjoy Hanoko's companyand questions his choice of reporting her.

HEX corp can't allow Hanoko to be in the public now that she knows theirsecret, for fear that she might tell someone, as she has already told Roi. They are forced to take drastic measures and kidnap her immediately, despite the disturbance it might cause. The sleeper serving as her father (Dr.Robec) is ordered to do the job as soon as she gets home (Hanoko told Roi

  • 8/3/2019 Hanako Storyline

    11/20

that she would go home before she ran away, so they know she will bethere).

When she arrives home the house is dark and quiet. She closes the frontdoor and shouts Hello? Dad?. There's no reply, and she continues to walk

through the house. She comes upon her father's study, and is about to passit by when she notices a strange looking file on his desk with the word Hexwritten on it. Curious, she enters the room slowly and opens the file. Insideit she sees, with unbelieving eyes, the overview of an experiment titled "TheParagon Project", containing pictures of her and Aimi, along with severalother unfamiliar faces, all as children. Across the top is stamp that reads"Success". Then suddenly Hanoko's Father is standing right behind her. Hesays something witty, like "I knew you'd find out eventually". She turnsaround, startled, and sees that he's holding a syringe in his hand. Then hesays "You've been an inconvenience to us from the start. I'm surprised theylet you live this long." Then he takes a step closer and says "But that doesn't

matter now". Then he makes a move to inject Hanoko with the syringe, butshe grabs his arm and stops him. Then they get in to a small fight, andamitsd the commotion Hanoko's flower clip gets knocked off and shereleases a huge blast of psychic energy. The blast sends Robec into a wall, killing him instantly. Shocked, Hanoko goes over o him, confirms he's dead, and then puts her clip back on and grabs the file off his desk and runs. She'sin a huge panic, considering she just killed her adopted father and shedoesn't even know how.

She takes off running down the street without any idea where to go or whatto do, when Roi appears out of the blue. After reporting her last action to

Hex he felt something deep inside him that made him wish he hadn't. Heknew what Hex would probably do with her, so he decided he had tointervene. He was on his way to Hanoko's house to stop Dr. Robec when hemeets her on the street, crying and all in a mess. She explains, throughmuffled tears, what just happened and shows him the file that she found. When he sees the file he realizes for the first time that Aimi was anexperiment too, and he realizes that Hex is probably going to kill her, afterthey interrogate her about the whereabouts of the other experiments. Healso realizes that they're probably keeping her at a nearby secret facility(He's intel, so he knows where some of the outposts are). He explains all thisto Hanoko, who is confused because she still doesn't fully remember

everything about Hex. Roi disregards that and simply asks her if she wantsto save Aimi. Of course she answers yes, so the two of them head to the Hexfacility, while Roi explains as much as he can about Hex along the way.

Alaisa's Note: They shouldn't be off so sudden. Something needs tohappen before hand. Im not sure what but, it all happens to quickly.

The secret facility is located deep in the forest, the same forest that Hanoko

  • 8/3/2019 Hanako Storyline

    12/20

and Aimi were in just yesterday (the forest is actually a very importantlocation, lots of stuff happens here. Which probably means it will need aname). When they get there Roi uses some sort of key card to let them in,and they immediately begin looking for Aimi. They find her, release her, andthen they get caught by a guard or something, at which point Roi and Aimi

show off their awesome powers and pretty much take on the entire facilityby themselves. Of course, Hanoko is unable to help, since she doesn't yetknow about the flower clip and what it does. As they're about to kill the lastguy, though, (some scientist who's in charge of the place), he flips the self-destruct switch. As they're fleeing the burning building Aimi rememberssome research room that had some valuable information in it. She makesthem turn back, and when they get there they see an entire wall lined withthose liquid tube things with bodies in them, along with blueprint andformulas scattered all over and some heavy-duty lab equipment. Then theysee a scientist trapped under some fallen debris, and he cries out to them tocome quickly. Roi draws his blade, ready to cut him down, but then the man

tells them that he wants to help them. He briefly explains how he regrets hiswork with Hex after realizing their dark intentions, and pleads with them tofight Hex and expose them for who they really are. Then, as they arerunning out of time, he tells them to take a flash-drive-ish objoect off of anearby computer, and then tells them to save themselves. They once againflee the building, barely escaping before the entire structure explodes. Verydramatic.

After they escape from the building they take a moment to regroup and

decide on what they should do next. Since they just destroyed a Hex facility, there's really no going back at this point. They are kind of sealed intofighting Hex from here on out. They make the unanimous decision to firstfind out what is on the flash-drive thing that the scientist gave them. Theytake it back to Hanoko's house, since there's no one there, and they don'twant anyone to know their whereabouts. On the flash drive they findinformation about Hex's latest projects, along with locations of secretshipping routes and facility locations. At this point they begin to realize howincredibly in over their heads they are.

Alaisa's Note: They shouldn't go back to Hanoko's house since Mr.

Robec is still dead at this point and there might be police theirtrying to figure out who killed him. Additional Notes- There journeyrescuing Aimi should take a couple of days, so hospital staff realizethat Dr. Robec hasn't showed up to work ( he has never missedwork) and are worried. The police could go over there and check itout or the social service agency could be checking up on Hanoko.Either way they shouldn't go back just for the possibility.

Then Hanoko remembers the file that she found on her dad's desk and showsit to Aimi and Roi. Aimi remembers the other two experiments from whenthey lived as street orphans together, and she thinks she has an idea ofwhere to look for them. They had kept in contact briefly after beingseparated, and Hitoshi had mentioned his location once or twice. So they

decide that finding him should be their next priority. However, it's prettylate by now, so they decide to spend the night there at Hanoko's house andset out in the morning.

Alaisa's Note: Should go to Aimi's house or something becauseRobec is still dead.

The next morning, Aimi leads the group to an apartment complex in themiddle of the city, where she thinks Hitoshi is living. After some deductivereasoning and some questioning around they figure out that Hitoshi IS thereand they go to see him.

They get to his apartment, find him, explain their situation to him, blah blahblah. He vaguely remembers Aimi, but after so long he's not sure if he trustsher enough to just go out on an adventure to fight the corporation that gavethem their powers. He remembers Hex and how horrifying it was, and bearsan animosity towards them, but he is reluctant to leave his normal life and togo fight them. But as they are talking, they hear a commotion at the frontdoor (they are in Hitoshi's room), so they take a peak at what's going on.They see a group of men in long black lab coats who have just broken downthe door, and they immediately know that it's Hex, come to find them. Themen spot them and run towards them. They dash for Hitoshi's room again,

but they're backed into a corner. The only escape is a window, with atwenty-story drop below. Instantaneously, Roi asks everyone if they trusthim. Hanoko and Aimi respond yes, but Hitoshi is still on the fence. Hedoesn't have much of a choice, though, so everyone grabs onto Roi, whothen jumps out the window just as the men barge into the room. Theyscream, but Roi uses his power to slow himself down just as he's about to hitthe pavement. Everybody's fine, but the men pursue them so they startrunning. They end up in a plaza in the middle of the city, surrounded bytheir pursuers. They have no choice but to fight, so Hitoshi gets to show offhis awesome fire powers. Him and Aimi and Roi do some sweet moves, butthey're no match for the sleepers who have been trained in their powers.

They're loosing the fight when out of nowhere the mystery man shows upand creates this giant explosion of light, buying the kids enough time toescape and flee the city.

They run to the forest and Hanoko and Aimi tell the others about a placethey've seen before. It's an old abandoned villa from back in the days whenpeople had the time for luxuries like vacations, long since forgotten. Theyarrive there and settle in, and the section ends with with two important

scenes occurring at the same time: a conversation between Roi and Hitoshiand another between Hanoko and Aimi. The first highlights the dawning of anew journey for all of them, one that will take them to the edges of humanityand back. They only begin to realize what they have started and the effectsof what is to come. The later is more inward focused, another deep

conversation between Hanoko and Aimi. The too talk about how differentthings are going to be living on the run from an international corporation. But they pledge their dedication and their friendship, and it's a veryheartwarming scene, a wonderful ending to the first section.

Alaisa's Note: Pretty good, just needs more detail. Also if they areusing their powers shouldn't that trigger radars?

Adrian No,They could posses things to prevent the detction ofpowers inside the facilities.

    [Section 2]

Time frame: The first two years of so after Hanoko's initiation into fighting Hex.

Estimated episodes: somewhere from 100-200 (once again, depending on

length)Status: Only a plot so far

Using the information obtained from the flash drive from the lab theteam of four begin planning and executing small assaults on Hexoperations. They have to operate under the radar, because they can'tgive away their position to Hex, so it's mostly just small things likeintercepting shipments and transportations and taking out smallfacilities. But eventually they begin to have people come to themwanting to join their operations, and their team begins to grow in size.

Oh, and somewhere along the way Takoa hears about what they'redoing and joins them. We'll think of some creative way to implementthat. It just screams plot twist.

Alaisa's Note: He could hear about it on the news or somethingand since he still remembers, and has a strong sense of

justice, he realizes what they are doing and sets out to findthem and join their group. Something like that...lol.

Then Hanoko somehow figure out what her flower clip does to her, anddiscovers that she has access to powers greater than anyone else on

the team, great enough to deal massive damage to Hex. Hanokobecomes their main weapon, and with her new power they are able totake on much larger operations. Not only that, but their success rategoes way up; they almost never fail. Hanoko's power is so huge thatit's literally all they need to succeed.

Alaisa's Note: She could start wondering why her parents toldher to always keep it in, and decides to take it out and findsout that way, also she could wonder if she has a power sinceeveryone else does and experiments, and her hair clip falls out

then she figures out that the hair clip decreases the power.

During this time the team is obviously not facing many physicalchallenges, so I think we will need to bring in somerelational/mental/emotional ones. This would be a good time for somedevelopment of Roi and Hanoko's relationship, as well as any othersthat we want to have.

Building off of the relational issues, Hanoko, along with the othercharacters, begins to realize a shift in personality when she takes her

clip off. She looses control and becomes much more brutal andmerciless and self-centered. The unlimited power puts her out of herright mind, and she turns almost evil. This gets so bad that she has tostart keeping her clip on at all times.

Alaisa's Note: Somewhere in the story she can learn to controlthat power Ex: When Naruto learns to control nine-tails

So she can't take it off, but after Hex discovers that she has a piece ofthe same gem that is powering their serum production they naturally

take every measure possible to get it for themselves. This includesputting a huge bounty on it, which subsequently makes Hanoko thetarget of countless plots. By the end of the section it escalates to thepoint where the constant pursuit renders Hanoko and her team unableto effectively fight Hex. By this point Hanoko's group of rouges hasgrown to the size of a small army, complete with a secret base ofoperations, basically an underground resistance. This includes a team

of scientists. Now, like I was saying, by the end of the sectionHanoko's clip causes such a buzz that she can't really work any more, and taking it off permanently to hide it is not an option. And by thistime the scientists from the group have developed blueprints for a newweapon of some sort (we could go anywhere with that) that will

drastically help them in bringing down Hex. The only problem is that itlacks a power source strong enough to power it. That's where Hanokoand her clip come in; she makes the difficult decision to sacrifice herrole in the resistance for the common good. Since she can't take offthe clip without releasing her dark side she puts herself undercryogenics (freezes her body, basically puts her to sleep indefinitely) ofsort and they hide her body away somewhere. The scientists go on tocreate the weapon, which is a success and leads to a crucial victory forthe resistance as the ending to the second section. It's a bittersweetvictory though, since Hanoko, the leader and founder of their group

isn't there to guide them. We would, however, allude to the point thatshe's with them in spirit through several scenes in involving the flowerclip. Just thinking about it in my head gives me goosebumps! Wecould make that SUCH an emotional and dramatic ending (to thesection)... I think it'd be really cool.

Alaisa's Note: Does she ever find out why everyone is after theclip? She could research that and discover info about the gem,and later in the story the gem when put back together give the

group some awesome skill or power to help them. So theycould be after the other two fragments...possibly? Your call.

[Section three]Estimated episodes: a bulk of the 500 episodes, 200-300

    Status: Still just a plot

Then section three is basically the different perspectives of the otherthree original experiments as they split up and command theresistance against Hex. Oh, wait, but there's another twist that I forgotto mention! No one besides a select few commanders of the

resistance know that Hanoko is no longer with them. Her... I don'tknow what to call it, so I'll just say death, even though she isn't dead,

just "asleep"... Her death is kept a secret so as to let the group hangonto the security that comes with her presence and power, and as abluff to their enemies. Oh, and also no one outside the same select

group of people know of the effect that the flower clip had on Hanoko,ie suppressing her powers. In fact they all think it's the source of herpower. I forget why that's important, but just a minuet ago thatseemed like the only logical explanation behind something, and now Iforgot what it was. Oh, well. It'll come back eventually. Anyway, thestory goes on and Hanoko becomes a globally revered force, despitethe fact that she's "asleep" all the while. The resistance talks abouther like their ultimate weapon, and whenever her name is mentionedthe people of the resistance feel safe and Hex starts to sweat. Butthen one of the major conflicts that section is tat Hex eventually calls

their bluff and figures out that Hanoko has mysteriously disappeared. This causes an uproar not only from the resistance, who just found outthat their leader has been gone all the while, but from the globalcommunity as well, who now wonders wether Hanoko is dead, orweather the being of unspeakable power is loose in the world ready towreak havoc. As a result of this, Hanoko becomes like a world-wideloch-nes monster, with "sightings" of her popping up all across theglobe. The resistance continues to fight, but the circumstances underwhich they do so are drastically changed. They aren't nearly aseffective as they previously were due to a loss of moral in the troops

and the fact that the world now sees them as deceitful and is reluctantto trust/cooperate with them. Stuff happens and the resistance startsto crumble. Many of the members abandon them to go back to theredaily lives, and their victories become more and more scarce.Eventually the resistance is reduced to only a handful of loyal

members, obviously including the first three experiments and Roi.Then the scientists make a breakthrough and create a device whichthey think might be able to retain Hanoko's power well enough for herto be safe to the world, but also allow her to use it to its full extent indire circumstances. I'm not quite sure how this part is going to work...

It kind of seems like "why couldn't they have made that sooner", and"why can't she just pretend like every situation is dire and use itwhenever she wants". We can brainstorm ways to work that out later. The main point is they create it, they awaken Hanoko, and it works. But somewhere around five to ten years have gone by while she's

been asleep, and so it's weird for her to just wake up and foreverything to be so different. This also leads to a lot of interpersonal

    18/20

problems between her and the friends that she used to know who havechanged so much. She even questions her own identity, authority, andability, giving us plenty of room for super-deep character development, themes and ideas. I'm looking forward to diving into that part. Allthese problems are on the inside, though. To the outside world she's

like the returned hero. She announces her revival in a world-widebroadcast speech, an epic moment to say the least. In my head I'menvisioning a scene where we skip around to different parts of theworld with Hanoko on every TV screen, jumbotron, computer, ect, withan entire global audience enticed and captivated by her presence. Atthe end of the speech she asks for anyone and everyone to join theresistance and fight Hex corp, which creates a flood of new recruits, and even old recruits returning after abandoning the resistance. Thishappens just in time too, because the section ends with Hex corplaunching an all-out onslaught directly at the Resistance base, which

they now know the location of. The Resistance wins the day, butsomething bad has to happen... my main thought is that someone dies, most likely Roi or Aimi. But maybe there's just some relational tensionbetween Hanoko and Roi instead, due to her being gone for so long.Anyway, that's how that section ends. It is by far the longest section,

where a bulk of the estimated 500 episodes will come from.

Alaisa's Note: Should they have bounties?

[Section four]Estimated episodes: 100-150Status: Really not much at all, just a general direction

The fourth and final section is Hanoko and the resistances' preparationfor the final battle with Hex corp. Both of them are at their prime. The

resistance has all it's new members, and hex corp has just developedtheir latest and most perfected version of the super-human serum, offering it to the general public. They also are rumored to have used it,combined with some other secret procedure (I don't know what itshould be) to create the perfect human, who supposedly surpasseseven Hanoko in strength. So yeah, they basically just prepare for thefinal showdown. I don't really know... This is where everything starts to

tie together. We'll also have a lot of thematic elements and characterconflicts, especially between Hanoko and Roi, as well as her otherthree closest friends (unless one of them dies, then it's only two). There's almost too much we could do in this section. Since it's the lastwe could throw in pretty much any plot twist we want and not having

to worry about the repercussions it might have on future portions. Thisis one of those parts that I think you should fill in. It's your story; youget to decide how it will end.

Alaisa's Note: This should really have a big dramatic endingthat ties all of the loose ends together.

Things to fix--The "Resistance" is just a temporary name for the group against Hex.Eventually we should create a permanent and suitable name.-Here's the link to the Japanese name website, compliments of Alyssa..

I'll let you (Adrian) decide what to do with it.-The social-sevices-esq agency also still needs a name.-The forest needs a name (Lol, lots of names)

-Basically anything or anyone that doesn't have a name needs a name, including Hanoko's parents and the head of Hex-So I think we've decided that we're going to set it in the real world, only altered by a hundred years worth of change. I'm all for the idea, but does anyone else have any objections?-Alyssa previously mentioned that we should have Hanoko have a smallsliver of her powers due to some minor damage dealt to the clip. Ithink maybe we should just have her have a small amount of powernaturally, the clip isn't really something that can be damaged. Ormaybe we don't give her any power with the clip on. Someone else

    decide.

-That's all I can think of, but I'm sure there's an endless amount ofother things to fix. So just get to work and see what you find.

-Oh, one more thing. When we exchange edits through multiple wordprocessors the document seems to loose its structure and ends uplooking really weird on my computer. So I've transferred and

Ok, all done! I realize how ridiculously long this is getting, but hey, that's what you get for signing up for 500 episodes. With that in mind,I really didn't feel like going over all of this a third time, so there mightbe some parts that contradict each other and what not. Just fix themas you see fit. All I've really done with the second third and fourthsections is provide at least some sort of structure for us to get startedworking with. Alright, that's enough out of me. i guess we'll schedule

a meeting sometime soon and discuss all of this. That'll be interesting.

Thanks everyone for being so patient while I took my dear sweet timeediting this. Although, for the record, I think I made some pretty goodprogress. Can't wait to see where this goes next!-Sam

Alaisa- I could help with names and such, and anything else that

needs work. Just tell me what needs to happen. Also sorry I haven'tbeen communicating much, just been really busy. :D This is reallygetting good! If you all need to ask, or tell me anything just contactme by email or facebook.
