CEO

Tom Winborne is an Architect and CEO for Clark Nexsen. During his 40 years at Clark Nexsen, he has been a major influence in the firm’s growth from 35 architects and engineers in 1975 to its current 500 employees in 10 Mid-Atlantic offices. Tom is a 1975 graduate of Virginia Tech. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Construction Specification Institute, Design-Build Institute of America and the Society of American Military Engineers. Tom is a lifelong resident of Chesapeake where he served on the Planning Commission for four years. He is a 2010 graduate of LEAD Hampton Roads and most recently served as its Chairman. Tom’s commitment to regionalism in Hampton Roads is evident by the boards he serves on including the Hampton Roads Chamber, ODU Educational Foundation, Greater Norfolk Corporation, and the Branch Museum of Architecture and Design.

Martin Joseph is the President and CEO of 360IT PARTNERS, a regional provider of Information Technology products and services for Small and Medium Businesses. Martin is Past President of Entrepreneurs’ Organization Southeast Virginia, recipient of Inside Business Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 and recipient of Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards. His company, 360 IT, won the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year in 2013 and he served as Master of Ceremonies for the event in 2015 and 2016. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Lions Medical Eye Bank and Hampton Roads Better Business Bureau, and is a member of Virginia Beach Vision.

Bryan K. Stephens Hampton Roads Chamber

President and CEO

Bryan K. Stephens has extensive leadership and business experience. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as President & CEO of Kalmar in San Antonio, Texas; a $250M/year manufacturer of material handling equipment, after serving a distinguished 28 year career in the U.S Army, retiring as a Colonel. In the Army he served in a variety of progressive operational leadership and command positions. His last assignments include Infantry Brigade Commander and Division Chief of Staff, 10th Mountain Division (LI) and Chief of Operations and Chief of Staff, Joint Warfighting Center, USJFCOM in Suffolk, Virginia. His military qualifications include Ranger, Airborne, Pathfinder, Air Assault and Joint Staff Officer.

Since taking the helm of the Hampton Roads Chamber, Mr. Stephens has lead the Chamber to a U.S. Chamber of Commerce 5 star accreditation, an achievement only obtained by the top 1 percent of the over 7,000 Chamber’s in the Nation. He was also voted in the Top 25 Most Powerful People in Hampton Roads by Inside Business in 2016 as well as being awarded the Chamber Executive of the Year for the Commonwealth of Virginia 2016 by the Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

Vice President of Cox Media

Sharon Fanto serves as vice president for Cox Media. A proven innovative and strategic thinker driving bottom line growth, Fanto came to Cox Media in 2012, after serving for nine years as General Sales Manager of Cox Media Group’s (CMG) KICU TV36 in San Francisco, California. Prior to joining CMG, Fanto co-founded and served as senior vice president of sales for InfoAlly, a pioneer in e-coaching technology. Fanto served at the executive level for Fox Sports Net and KTBC in Austin, Texas. Fanto holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Mass Communications and Advertising from Boston University and a MBA from the College of William & Mary. Fanto has served on several Boards of Directors including Bay Area STAR (Society of Television Advertising and Radio), the Heart Association 2017 Heart Ball, and the Virginia Cable Telecommunications Association. Fanto is the executive sponsor of the Cox Conserves Council, leading local environmental conservation efforts.
