I cou ldn’t be more delighted to support the Hampshire Food Festiva l!Throughout July let’s come together to revel in the glory of local food, drink and craft from farmers to producers with the support of Hampshire Fare. I can’t wait to lead the charge getting to know local producers, sharing the tips, recipes and know-how behind local food and drink as well as visiting the places that bring the taste of Hampshire to life. From farm shops to hotels, pubs and restaurants this is a chance to find out more about why local provenance matters and just how much it can enthral and delight our tables and taste buds all year round.

This is my fourth year appearing at The Hampshire Food Festival and I’ll be hosting demonstrations as well as tasting and sharing in fantastic local produce once again at Festival Place. Come and say hi! Filming my series ‘The Secret Supper Club’ for Channel 4 gave me an incredible opportunity to get to know the real value of local producers. The diversity of food and drink in Britain is amazing and the passion, fun and warmth of the people behind it all is simply brilliant. English wine is of course close to my heart with quality on the rise, I’m also a keen brewer and adore British beer as well as cider, spirits and all the other fabulous cordials and concoctions we create from our world-class fruit!

With the superb quality and range in Hampshire, it’s a leading light on the British food scene and I can’t think of a better way to spend July than diving in to celebrate the fun and excellence of The Hampshire Food Festival. I hope very much to get the chance to greet you in person, but you can always reach me online at ollysmith.com, on Facebook or via twitter.com/jollyolly. Huzzah for Hampshire!
