The marriage of Hadhrat Khadija (ra) with the Holy Prophet (PBUH) brought family happiness in her life.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) was a caring husband who showed great regard and consideration for his wife.

Hadhrat Khadija proved to be a constant source of comfort and support for her husband.

At the time of marriage, Holy Prophet (PBUH) was 25 years old and Hadhrat Khadija (ra) was forty.

Soon after their marriage Hadhrat Khadija (ra) handed over all her wealth and servants to her noble husband.

Holy Prophet (PBUH) however, decided to distribute the wealth among the poor and free the slaves

Hadhrat Khadija (may Allah be pleased with her) remained extremely patient when their neighbours threw stones in their house, scattered

thorns outside their house and put foul smelling things inside the walls of their dwellings.

Sometimes the Holy Prophet (PBUH) would come home sad at the rejection of his claim by the people of Mecca. Hadhrat Khadija (may Allah be pleased with

her) would listen to him and try to cheer him up by supporting him.

She felt unhappy by the cruel treatment of the people of Mecca for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his followers, but remained patient. She had firm faith in Allah’s help. She was a source of encouragement for her

great husband and other believers.
