    AADPs Hoops for HopeAADP is hosting its 1

    stannual 3-on-3 charity basketball tournament this summer. There are many

    amongst us whose lives have been deeply affected by blood cancers like leukemia or lymphoma.

    Through Hoops for Hope, we hope to use sports as a medium to spread awareness about the need for

    more multi-ethnic donors on the registry. This competition gives you and your team a wonderful

    opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many patients, donors, survivors, and the many friendsand families touched by leukemia and other life-threatening blood diseases. All funds raised from the

    event will benefit the AADP, a local non-profit that is dedicated to helping save the lives of patients

    diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers curable by a stem cell transplant.

    Tournament Format: 2 Divisions, Gold and Silver

    AADP Hoop for Hopes tournament is open to anyone who wants to take part in a fun and friendly game

    of basketball while contributing to a great cause.

    **Optional 3-Point Contest: ($3/player with registration, $5/player on game day)

    - All shots must be attempted behind the 3-point line- Winners will receive a prize (TBA)

    Rosters

    1. 4 players per team.2. Players may only participate on one team.3. There will be NO roster revisions allowed on the day of the tournament.

    Rules

    1. Players must be at least 18 years of age2. All games are 3-on-3 half-court matches.3. Any fighting or grossly unsportsmanship conduct is means for automatic disqualification4. All players must have numbered uniforms/tops of the same or similar color.5. Players are responsible for calling their own fouls. Other players can not call your fouls for you.6. A foul will result in the team fouled taking possession of the ball. After SEVEN team fouls, ONE

    free throw will be awarded to the player fouled

    7. On a free throw, the ball is live after the player releases the balla. i.e. Either team may take possession of the ball in the event of a missed shot

    8. Each game will be monitored by an AADP member. The monitor will be responsible for keepingscore, counting fouls, determining possession and has the power to overrule any call.

    9. Any disputed calls which the court monitor cannot resolve will result in possession awarded tothe team with the possession arrow. Subsequently the possession arrow is changed to point to

    the other team.

    10.Each team is entitled to one (1) 30 second time-out per game.11.Teams are allowed a grace period of five (5) minutes after their scheduled game time. Teamsnot present by the end of the grace period will forfeit the game.12.Each basket made will be counted as 1pt.Shots made behind the 3pt line will be counted as 2pts.

    a. First team to get 12 points (1st4 games)b. First team to get 16 points (ALL subsequent games)

    13.All jewelry should be removed prior to play.
