PROFILE My passion for the arts began at a young age, specifi cally related to movie, video game, and TV show creation. My art education commenced in high school when I chose the Art Pathway and was immersed daily in color, technique, and a range of mediums including drawing, painting, computer graphic design, and ceramics. I continued my education at Delaware Technical and Community College. There I was able to strengthen my skills as an artist in a variety of fi elds. After graduation, I transferred to Salisbury University to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art. I have used my skills outside of the classroom to design posters, birthday invitations, woodwork, signs, and more for my family members. Now I am ready to share my passion for art with the world…or, you know…with anyone that will listen to my “stories”.

ARTIST STATEMENT My absolute favorite thing in the world is a story. It doesn’t matter if the form it takes is a picture, a song, a book, a fi lm, or all of the above. I adore meeting new characters, seeing new lands, and hearing of new exploits done by the former in the latter. I try to conjure stories out of art, and see the creation of stories as a kind of magic. Fine art especially strikes me as being like alchemy: the process of changing one thing into another. I see stories in everything. I use my ever-growing skills as an artist to try to show the rest of the world what I see, using pencil, pastels, paints, and pens. I am an alchemist; where others see a blank canvas, I see the potential for something more precious than gold. Things may not always come out as polished as I’d like; but that won’t stop me from trying.

EXPERIENCEVolunteerOctober 2016 to PresentHabitat for Humanity I recently had the opportunity to become a Habitat for Humanity volunteer. I have participated in various projects completing tasks such as the building of a wheelchair ramp, painting the interior doors of a house, and cleaning up a neighborhood park.

Sales AssociateJune 2016 to PresentGreene Turtle Apparel Shop – 11601 Coastal Hwy, Ocean City, MD 21842 In addition to selling products and interacting with customers, I have also worked on commission to create fl yers advertising special events for the OriginalGreene Turtle.

Food and Beverage AssociateMay 2012 to September 2015Deer Run Golf Club – 8804 Logtown Rd, Berlin, MD 21811 While at Deer Run, in addition to selling snacks and drinks, my responsibilities included cleaning and stocking the beverage cart. I would also monitor the players while they were on the course to ensure both their safety and the wellbeing of the course.

Advertisement/Logo TechnicianNovember 2011 to May 2012Ad-Art Sign Co. – Route 113 Mariner Cir, Georgetown, DE 19947 While at Ad-Art, I designed and assembled advertisements for clients. A large majority of these advertisements were laid out in a specialized program before being transmitted to a “printer” outfi tted with a small blade capable of making precise cuts into rolls of vinyl. From there my job was to carefully remove the excess vinyl with a knife, lay masking tape over the remains, forming a type of sticker which I would then apply to the designated surface with a small squeegee. My fi nished products included small roadside signs, banners of varying sizes, car decals and business signs.
