PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Ascolite Gypsum Plaster is a processed gypsum-based internal wall covering material which is produced as a result of

calcinations of the raw gypsum in an automatic kettle under controlled temperature. The product is suitable for walls made of

AAC blocks, RCC and other types of blocks/bricks. Traditionally, internal wall plastering consisted of a 2 step process of sand-

cement plastering finished with POP punning. With Ascolite Gypsum plaster, the tedious 2 step process is simplified by directly

applying a single-coat layer of our product, resulting in an efficient internal wall plastering, with a superior finish, better

workability and higher coverage.

Even history shows the usage of gypsum as an internal plaster as found in the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, which were lined with

gypsum stucco plaster centuries ago and are still intact, which is proof of the durability and performance of this product. Today

many of the modern constructions around the globe use gypsum-based plasters in their interior wall plastering work.

At Ascolite, we ensure industry-edge quality delivery to all our customers. We work in accordance to the Indian Standard 2547

Part I & II and have therefore established and maintained a state-of-the-art in-house testing and R&D facility which is based at

Surat, Gujarat.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

Cost Effective

A single coat of Gypsum Plaster can replace s/c plaster saving cost of material and labour. Also due to the evenness and smooth surface finish, it minimizes the quantity and application time requirement of Putty coating.

High Strength

Gypsum as a raw material consists of high compressive strength as a characteristic, being the major raw material for the plastering product makes the material strong in terms of bonding.

Min. Cracks

The material does not go through shrinkage or expansion process once it has been settled, which avoid shrinkage cracks.

Exceptional Coverage

Addition of additives and certain chemicals during the product processing lowers the overall density as a result we get higher coverage per kilogram.

Water Saver

Conventional plastering methods require curing in the s/c walls as a procedure to complete the application, whereas Gypsum-based plasters are self-setting.

Single Coat

Due to the free-flowing nature of the product, the preparation (mixing water and Ascolite Gypsum plaster) turns out to be a easy application paste which results in the required finish in one single coat.

Reduction in Dead Load

Cutting off the need for sand cement plaster (a high density plastering material), the overall dead load of the building structure is reduced. Additionally, Ascolite gypsum plaster also consists of certain additives/chemicals which make it light in weight compared to the conventional plastering material.

Easy Application

Ascolite Gypsum plaster is a premix product consisting of processed gypsum containing additives and chemicals, during application only water needs to be added and mixed. The paste formation gives a butter flow feel easing the process of application.

Availability

Unlike sand which is used for conventional sand cement plaster, Ascolite Gypsum plaster is easily and legally available across the country at all points of time.

Thermal Insulation

The material has low thermal conductivity making the plaster a good climatic insulator, keeping the internal temperatures pleasant at lower energy costs.

LEED Points

LEED Points benefit can be ascertained for green building construction.

PREPARATION & APPLICATION

19

Pre-wet the wall before application.

Clean and Wet

Level the material paste on the wall with help of aluminum box plate.

Mix thin slurry and apply on leveled surface with trowel to

get smooth finish.Leave wall to dry

for 2-3 days.

Levelling Finishing Drying

Mix thoroughly to make a uniform smooth

lump-free paste.

Blending

Apply fresh material paste on wall with the help of trowel.

Application

By placing aluminum box plate on bull marks, fill the gap with

Gyplast / Gyplast +.

Reference Mark

Put bull mark and ensure vertical level by using plumb

and make marks at every 4 ft.

Level Mark

Mix powder in water (in the ratio of 1.5:1) and not vice versa.
