The Guitar & Whiskey Club is the brainchild of

founding members, guitarist Jeffrey Donovan and

bassist Scott Smith, whose desire is to continue their

lifelong passion for classic, guitar-driven Hard Rock

(both covers and originals) in their own unique style.

After teaming up with guitar slinger Seen Robinson

they realized that they had a something unique in

having a double guitar attack and when they heard the

incredible voice of Jennifer Wylde, they knew they were

onto something great. The GWC lineup is now complete

with the addition of veteran drummer Bob Sickles. The

Guitar & Whiskey Club plays guitar driven hard rock

songs with their own very entertaining brand of style

and talent. The music is loud, proud and a helluva great

show. You wouldn't have it any other way.

Band Bio

Jeff Donovan is the founder of The Guitar & Whiskey Club. Raised by working musicians, he has been playing guitar since the age of 8 and influenced by the great Michael Schenker, George Lynch, Jimmy Page, Ronnie Montrose and Eddie Van Halen. Throughout the 80's and 90's Jeff played in various bands (most notably Ladi Wytch and Alisin), gigging in clubs from Thousand Oaks to the Sunset Strip. Turning his attention to songwriting for the next two decades, Jeff returned to live performance and recording in 2013 and now The Guitar & Whiskey Club. Jeff's playing is aggressive and precise and his style is uniquely his own.

Scott Smith has lived the Hollywood Hard Rock life playing bass and singing in Sunset Strip staple bands, Dead End Kid, Checkmate, Draggon and Enchanter. He’s paid his dues, recorded albums and closed down too many bars to count. He even spent time in Vegas playing and recording there with the bands 13 and Whiskey Throttle before coming back to SoCal to form The Guitar & Whiskey Club with lifelong friend and partner in crime Jeff Donovan.

Jennifer Wylde was born in Queens, NY but grew up in Miami, Fl. She developed an affinity for music at a young age and began classical studies in grade school and later studied opera performance through Florida International University. With her classical training, she then wanted to focus on her passion, singing classic hard rock. She was discovered and then featured on a Latin Vocal Competition TV program called Minuto de Fama. After making her TV debut, Jennifer became the lead vocalist of a local Miami classic rock band called Metropolis and later went on to form the band Vault, another classic rock band covering various artists like L.A. Guns, Van Halen and Whitesnake. Ms. Wylde then wanted to pursue a more serious music career and moved to California, she immediately landed in the lead singer spot of Loose Cannons where she toured with them for 2 years around the SoCal area and local Ventura music venues. During that time, Jeff Donovan heard her sing with incredible power and presence and new that she had to be the Voice of The Guitar & Whiskey Club.

Bob Sickels made it abundently clear as a youngster that he had a knack for banging on things, so when he was 12 his parents bought him his first drum set and he’s never looked back. In his teens Bob was ready to play live shows and has been racking up show after show in the LA/Hollywood area ever since. He has shared the stage with numerous national acts such as: Y&T, Queensryche and too many more to count (read: remember). No stranger to the studio Bob has also playing on several albums with local bands as well. Recently Robert has played the Tribute Band seen; preferring Hard rock as the genre and most recently with a KISS tribute. He has a super high-energy stage presence with a loyal fan base that follows him wherever he may play.

Seen Robinson grew up as a guitar shredder in Wisconsin. After making his bones playing in local cover bands in his teens, he moved to Chicago and got to play and work with the top talent in the city. He then formed the ultra powerband Boomstick and branched out into songwriting, recording and producing. After realizing there wasn’t enough whiskey to keep him warm in the winter, he decided to move to a place that better suited his love of sand and surf. He found his true home when he moved to SoCal and the Hollywood Strip and led the bands, Sucker, Monster Zero, Varna and Rue. Now you can find him in The Guitar & Whiskey Club band, doing the two things he does best. Solos and even more solos!
