The symposium SATKAARYA organized on 23rd September 2015 by CFSR of GVPCE (A) is

unique kind of togetherness on social responsibility. All the faculty and students have

congratulated the team for the efforts which led to this grand success. Students from various

institutes have participated in this event with full positive energy. This symposium is dedicated

to Late Pro. B. Sarveswara Rao Garu who believed in ACTION RESEARCH

Program started with a video presentation on services given by students of social groups under

CFSR

NSS Rotaract of GVP YES (Youth Enlightening the Society)

WeR4Help VIDYADAAN HoH(Hearts of Humanity)

Later floral tributes were offered to Late Prof. B. Sarveswara Rao Garu by the eminent

personalities of the institute.

Above all Sri ASN Prasad Garu have readily accepted to preside the inaugural function. This is

really something great he has presided over for the cause of social responsibility. He felt from

the heart the need of the social service which every student has to take up.

Prof. Dr. Ing PS Rao Garu - Guest of Honour for the day have given inputs about the

importance of engineering perspective in social responsibility.

Chief Guest of the day Sri Ram Prasad AjjarapuGaru, Joint Youth coordinator for AP and

Telangana States have really motivated the youth and made them involve and feel during the

function.

The Symposium is inaugurated with lightening of the lamp by our dignitaries.

This symposium would not have been a grand success without the collective efforts of faculty

colleagues and student volunteers. Though it was because of the discussion of our Principal Sir,

Dr. A.B.K. Rao Garu, Prof. Y.V.P.K. RaghavaGaruDean - Student Affairs and myself to

organize such a conference on social responsibility one year ago - it is the positive nod and spirit

from all the faculty coordinators of service groups who have shown keen interest - that led to

organize such a unique symposium this year.

- All service groups have expressed the positive attitude towards organizing the symposium on

social responsibility in the meeting chaired by Dr. Y.V.P.K. Raghavagaru, DEAN – Student

Affairs on 3rd

July 2015.

- It started from the preparation of brochure and poster preparation:

Sri Ch. Avinash Assistant Professor, Dept of CSE has directed student volunteers Priyanka-

ECE and Sailesh-Civil. In this due course a logo has been designed by MsGeetanjali-ECE. The

name “SATKAARYA” suggested by our faculty coordinator Sri Ch. Avinashgaru is well taken

and accepted by our college and colleagues from other institutes too have expressed their

positive opinion on the name. It is really commendable for the initiative taken.

- Then it comes to the part of canvassing to promote among the students of various institutes

Sri A.R.J Srikant, Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Sri M. L. Naidu, Assistant

Professor of Civil Engg Department, who was always ready for any kind of organizing for

the symposium. Both have taken lead role in guiding the canvassing team led by student

Volunteers have guided Mr. KajaMohiuddin – ECE, Mr. Shaik– Chemical, Ms.

SaiMounica– Chemical. Out of the busy class schedule Sri ARJ Srikanthgaru have given

sharp idea of canvassing.Student volunteer Ms. Vinaya–Chemical, has taken initiative to

pool up all the interested volunteers for canvassing and for sponsors. Sponsors for the

symposium is coordinated by Mr. Vinayak, Mrs. Sameera, Ms. Nilofer, Mr. Rahul, Ms.

Shruthi and Ms. Tanmayi.

- Inaugural function:

Main part of the event lies in organization of the inaugural function. This task is taken up by

Sri N.Ch. N Suresh, Dept of Mathematics and SmtArunaKumari, Dept of ECE. He has

given directions to the volunteers Mr.Saketh-Civil and team and gave scope for the

volunteers in improving their organizing skills. He has meticulously selected the Chief Guest

to suit for the occasion. And it is proved too, by the motivation levels of students raised by

the Chief Guest Sri Ram Prasad Ajjarapu. The decoration part is carefully taken care by Mr.

Ch. Ganesh and team.

President of GayatriVidyaParishad has congratulated Principal Sir for establishing CFSR in

the campus.Later the book titled “WOMEN EMPOWERMENT” authored by

Y.CHARMILA-EEE (IV B.Tech) under the guidance of DR. RAVI SAREPALLI,

Director-Centre for Innovation is released by the chief guest.

- Technical Sessions:

Led by Sri Y.C.V. Kondaiah, Assistant Professor, Dept of EEE and Sri D Sita Siva, Dept

of ECE have taken care that all the sessions run simultaneously. CH.AMARNADH, G.PAVAN

KUMAR, P.HARISHStudent volunteers have taken care to see that in all the locations of

seminars, poster presentation, exhibits, Cartooning and Film making proper coordination is

maintained. Particularly in group discussion Ms. Spoorthiand team had to handle very

dynamic situation where in participants were just flowing. The entire Technical sessions

were continuously monitored and reported by student volunteer Mr. Ch. Durga Naga Sai –

ECE to the respective faculty.

All the judges have taken extreme care and were patient in listening to the voice of the

young minds and judged the best two in an event. It is really great on their part that

they have taken their precious time and chaired as judges in short notice.

- Food Committee

The above mentioned programs would not have been successful without the meticulous

planning of Sri Ch. Rajesh Garu, Assistant Professor of Dept of IT. His team has

carefully organized the refreshments and lunch for the participants.

- Valedictory Session

All sessions were ended at 4:30 pm and in the closing session Prof P. SOMA RAJU

GARU, Secretary, GVP and Prof. A. B. K .RAO Garu, Principal GVPCE (A) have given

away the prizes to winners.

A special token of honour is given to the team of Lendi Engineering College who have

exhibited the culture of Great INDIA by wearing the traditional dresses and shown to the

participants.

I thank the Management, Principal, Deans, Heads of the Departments, faculty & Staff of all

the Departments for their support in organizing this symposium.

I also express my special thanks to Faculty executive body and Student executive body of

CFSR who have given their full energy with an inner feelings of “need of the hour” rather

than responsibility.
