It is supported by grahasta bhai bhabhio through Gunatit Mission. The Supreme being or Parabrahm, manifested Himself as Shreeji Maharaj (Swaminarayan Bhagwan) and He in turn, introduced Swami Shree Gunatitanand Swami as the manifestation of "Akshar" in whom He resides fully and through whom he can be attained. Brahmrup Shastriji Maharaj who was an incarnation of Bhagwan Swaminarayan initiated the Akshar Purushottam movement for the dual worship of brahm and parbrahm. Brahmrup Yogiji Maharaj continued this mission and prepared a number of Gunatit Saints through whom Maharaj would remain manifest on this Earth and spread the Akshar Purushottam religion wide and far. Yogiji Maharaj organised Youth Assemblies in Satsang and ‘Gunatit Jyot’ for the benefit of women. He made spiritual enlightenment accessible to women by delegating this task to Param Pujya Pappaji, and who in turn has made ‘Gunatit Jyot’ into a place of pilgrimage and a source of strength for the future.

Background to Gunatit Jyot

Gunatit Jyot is an institution primarily for the spiritual development and enlightenment of women in the Swaminarayan Sampraday. It was established on 1st June 1966 at Vallabh Vidyanagar in Gujarat (India) and is endowed with the cultural and spiritual heritage of Lord Swaminarayan.

Param Pujya Pappaji

There are now women who have achieved the pinnacle of spiritual enlightenment and this well trodden path will now be followed by many still in the future, as witnessed by the number of young ladies wishing to join this establishment. The quintessential principles are found in those who have led and those who now lead this divine life as exemplified by the late Param Pujya Ba , Param Pujya Ben, the late Pujya Taraben, Pujya Jyotiben, Pujya Didi, Pujya Deviben, Pujya Jasuben and Pujya Paduben.

They have achieved an enlightened state by following the tenets prescribed by Param Pujya Pappaji through His teachings in the ‘Panchamrut’ and ‘Sanjivani Mantra’ and principles as propounded by Yogiji Maharaj as detailed in ‘Gunatit Gnan nu Navnit’. Pappaji’s teachings serve as the core principles for all members of Gunatit Jyot: santo, beno, yuvako and grahasta alike.

Param Pujya Pappaji has secured the future of this organisation by ensuring that Shreeji Maharaj’s wishses (Vach G III 26) as instructed by Yogiji Maharaj were realised. This establishment is the result of Pappaji’s tireless and selfless efforts to serve Param Pujya Yogiji Maharaj.

Welcome to Gunatit Jyot.

Today there are eight branches and many satsang centres established elsewhere in Gujarat, Surashtra, Bombay, England and in the United States. Sisters from Gunatit Jyot at Vidyanagar visit these centres to establish personal contacts and to offer moral and spiritual guidance.

Speak less work more and let your results speak for you.
