The pourpose of Gumball Math
To help students graph and chart through word problems in math.
Targeted for Kindergartners Subject: Mathematics Students will be

The use of SMARTboard
I would call on a student to come up to the board to count how many of each gumball color or graph how many gumballs are in the picture.
Students can count the number of gumballs, by touching the screen move a gumball to the correct color to sort them

Adaptations to the SMARTboard lesson I and other teachers would be able to make our own subtraction and
addition problem on the given template I would chose to make hard copies of the lesson plan so the students
could work on the problems at their seat, and to follow along with me. Instead of having gumballs the students can sort at their seat, I would
have plastic colored chips because of possible allergies to food.

Universal Design Universal design is a set of ideas that can produce products that are accessible
to people with and or without disabilities. Students who have different learning styles will be able to learn the key
aspects of the lesson. Students will see the math problem written out and do the following:
The sundtes will move the gumballs on the SMARTboard to count them, students at their desk can follow along
The students will be listing to one another as they count the gumballs on the SMARTboard.
Using the SMARTboard to sort the gumballs The information is grade level appropriate where most of the students The information will be represented in different forms (i.e. SMARTboard, hard
copy, and verbally) where each student can learn mathematics
