Esteemed Members,

Seasons’ Greetings!!

For the last time I am writing

editorial for this newsletter,

which we started on monthly

basis in November 2014.The

journey so far was interesting

and enjoyable. I would not

like to describe whatever little

our team could contribute as

that is known to you. Our

attempt was to keep the

Centre live, give quality

programs, expand our

network in colleges, conduct

student related activities and

remain in continuous touch

with you through social

media, newsletter, emails etc.

Our two MOUs – one signed

with GTU and another one

with IIMTS shall benefit our

working professionals as well

as engineering students. Job

oriented short term weekend

courses shall commence from

5th November. For details

please turn to page 3. Many

such certification courses are being introduced.

Thanks to all those who

provided very valuable

suggestions from time to

time. We have tried to

implement most of these.

However, I would like to

quote from Sir Rudyard Kipling’s poem

“Woods are dark, lovely & deep

And miles to go before I sleep & miles to go before I sleep…”

As per popular saying, the

show must go on. New team

led by Shri S. B. Vasava shall

carry the baton further.

Committee member has been elected as Chairman for Sessions

2016-17 & 2017-18. Currently he is serving the State Government

as Secretary, Roads and Buildings Department. He will be taking

over during Annual session on 27th Nov 2016. Congratulations.

Shri H. U. Kalyani, FIE, GSC Committee member has been elected

as Honorary Secretary for Sessions 2016-17 & 2017-18. Currently

he is serving the State Government as Superintending Engineer in

Water Resources Department. He will be taking over during

Annual session on 27th Nov 2016. Congratulations.
