Principal’s report

The next generation

I had the pleasure of spending the morning with our new Kindergarten children for next year and their parents this morning. Kindergarten is such an important year in our children’s lives and it’s important they start to prepare themselves early by getting used to the school environment and teachers. It’s also important for parents to start getting their children (and themselves) into a routine ready to come to school.

Our orientation visits will continue next week.

A helping hand for new families

Starting next year any children starting at Guise PS will receive a free uniform to help with the cost of starting a new school for your child/children. Uniform is such an important part of school life. It demonstrates respect for the school and a well worn uniform goes a long way towards giving a school a good reputation.

A reminder to all parents that the school does run a second hand uniform shop from the office with all items only $5. If you need something from the uniform shop or would like to donate please contact the office.

A ‘spookily’ fun day

Great fun was had by all at last week’s Halloween fun day!! A huge thanks to Mrs Bleeker and 6B for their great organisation of the day!! Thanks as well to all of the children and families who supported the day and succeeded in raising over $200 to go towards the Year 6 farewell!! Great job!!

Have a great week!
