Testimonials SLS 2013 on Intellectual Property Law

Participating in the ELSA UMinho Law School on Intellectual Property was a truly enriching and inspiring experience. The insightful and demanding lectures provided strong foundational knowledge as well as the latest thinking in intellectual property. The instructors were outstanding leaders in their fields and were willing to discuss participants’ own research face-to-face. What I would like to point out specifically and in addition to the high academic standards applied is the extraordinary dedication and outstanding commitment of both the academic and administrative staff involved: they would always go the extra mile to accommodate all our requests with great enthusiasm.

Angela Cataldi

It was really a great experience! It was all well organized, the lessons and the social program. We had enough time to learn and to have fun together with the others. The amazing ELSA Braga team has made it an unforgettable experience.

Summer Law School in Braga? A combination of great experts, excellent people and beautiful beach just one hour away from the city! To be honest, I have to say that the Summer Law School 2013 in Braga was an inspiration for me. It was one of the best events I have ever attended, and also one of reasons why I am Head of OC for the Summer school in Bratislava. Don´t waste this opportunity, apply and enjoy those moments too!

It's hard to describe in few sentences SLS in Braga. Whatever I have written seems to be an advertising folder - great people from all over Europe, an excellent academic program and ... fun. But there is no other way to say – because it is the truth. In the Gala Ball I was almost awarded with the prize “24/7”. Almost, because one day I was absent in body and spirit - it was a long day after an even longer night! But well, I managed to win the prize for best dancer and some other prizes! I personally had the opportunity to spend an unforgettable week of vacation full of new experiences and challenges and meet people with whom I keep in contact after SLS. There are many SLS in Europe, but such a climate and people like the SLS in Braga there is nowhere – and because of this magic, it is worth the visit.

It's pretty amazing the things I’ve learnt and the extraordinary people I met in just something less than a week. ELSA UMinho Summer School has been the best first experience of ELSA summer schooling. The organizing team was absolutely fantastic, the quality of the taught program of unexpected high standard and the city...well, that you just have to find out for yourselves...and believe me when I say that I'm not exaggerating!

Ourania Vrondou

Summer law school in Braga was an amazing experience! This event was enriching academically and socially, the lecturers were inspiring and the program was perfectly organised. It was the week to remember!

I applied for ELSA UMinho’s SLS to enhance my knowledge in an area that attracts me, but for which I have no diploma. Good choice! Speakers provided us with high quality presentations, especially regarding the international dimension of IP aspects of contracts that we may face in our career. As soon as I arrived I understood it would be more than a Summer Law School! The extra program was very stimulating. The OC brought us in beautiful and timeless places. Nights were priceless too, as the funny bench of international students that we were got quickly used with Braga’s best night places. The class became close-knit. We are still in touch and try to meet up sometimes somewhere in Europe.

It is clear that a Summer Law School gives you the possibility to learn something new within a field of legal studies! More important, it seems that you have a special benefit you will never have attending a class in the same field at your university. At the Summer School, people from different jurisdictions attend, giving you new perspectives as of how the legal situation is in other countries! And the parties are just awesome, believe me!
