POSSIBLE SITUATIONS AND SOLUTIONS
**CAUTION: Before starting installation, any open transactions must be closed.**
Print out a test receipt. Document existing connections before starting modifications. Disconnect the out-bound serial cable from the ECR. Hint - it’s the cable that connects the ECR to the receipt printer. Connect into the COM2 of the TxPort2 a DB9 female serial connector to the POS with the appropriate serial converter. Disconnect the in-bound serial cable from the printer. Hint - it’s the cable that connects the ECR to the receipt printer. Connect into the COM4 of the TxPort2 a DB9 female serial connector to the Printer with the appropriate serial converter. Perform a print test. For the connection to be considered successful, the ECR must print a receipt identicalto the previous ones including a FISCAL CONTROL number at the bottom of the receipt.
If you face unexpected situations with a TxPort2, in most cases you will be able to solve them by simply turning the TxPort2 and the printer off and on However, for more specific situations, please follow the solutions listed below.

Check that the printer is turned on. Check that the TxPort2 is powered on and the green LED remains glowing solidly. Check that the TxPort2 is connected to the network. Check that the RJ45 cables and the connectors for the printer, TxPort2 and POS are connected and tight-fitting. The cable for the connector at the COM2 port of the TxPort2 must be linked to the POS connector, and the cable for the connector at the COM4 del TxPort2 of the TxPort2 must be linked to the printer connector. Turn the printer off, wait approximately 10 seconds, and turn it on again. Turn the TxPort2 off, wait approximately 10 seconds, and turn it on again. Turn the POS off, wait approximately 10 seconds, and turn it on again. Take note of the existing connections and remove the TxPort2, connecting the printer directly to the POS, and retry printing. If printing does not work when connecting the printer directly to the POS, you have a situation with your POS that is not related to the TxPort2. If printing works when connecting the printer directly to the POS, connect TxPort2 in bypass mode as follows: POS connection to the COM4 of the TxPort2 and printer connection to the COM2 of the TxPort2. If this does not solve the situation, you will need to report the situation to Customer Service.
