It is with immense pleasure and joy I convey
my thanks to the students who approached me
to write a message for teacher’s corner.
As a teacher of Social Science I always be-
lieved that classroom is the place where a
sense of change and awareness can be in-
voked in the minds of students as they are the
vital forces of the social organization. It is
therefore important on their part to fully real-
ize and play a proper role in the society. The
word role here leads us to the considerations
of the duties which the students should dis-
charge. Now a plethora of questions may arise
in your conscious mind that what precise du-
ties you (the students) ought to follow? Well,
the answer to these can be summarized in
three categories : First, students should have a
good health because a sound mind lives in a
sound body, One cannot do good things with-
out great health. Second duty is building good
habits . Third students owe duty towards their
parents, elders and society, with conscious-
ness to serve the mankind without expecta-
tion.

Article Writing
We all know that girls are on par with boys in all fields existing today. Mary Kom, Indira
Nooyi, Saina Nehwal and Priyanka Gandhi are some of the women achievers who have proved
their mettle in their respective fields. But still girls are ill treated and kept underprivileged
in villages of our country. Here is real life incident which made me ponder over this topic .
In my own village, there lived a family with two sons and one daughter. Sons were sent to
good school in a nearby town, but daughter was sent to a government school. She was dis-
criminated in all the walks of her life. This enraged me and was about to interrogate on it.
But my father stopped me from doing so.
I pitied that girl. Even I was helpless as I am too small to take a flag or raise my voice on
this issue. I can’t stage a procession too. But I felt I’ve to do something. I learnt that `Pen
is mightier than sword! ’ so I decided to pen down the plight of girls in gender bias. My hum-
ble request to all is to allow girls to be who they are, what they are. Who knows may be one
day, Lata Mangeshkar or Saina Nehwal hidden in them may pop up to build a new India with
no gender discrimination.
To all parents of girl child, I’d like to emphasize on this quote.
“A women is the person who arranges her kitchen neatly,
then think if the same women is educated how neatly she would arrange her country”.
To cleanse all corrupted minds our prime minister Narendra Modi has launched a scheme
called: `Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.’
After reading my article, I request everyone to save, protect and preserve every girl child as a treasure for a girl is educated a nation is educated.
“ Spread across to Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.”
