Regional Government.

Our Region

Armamar is located in Douro Region. Douro is a Portuguese wine region

centered around the Douro river.

Port Wine is well known around the world and the

most widely known wine type in the world.

The Douro wine region is the oldest in the world.

Armamar is a municipality in Portugal

with a total area of 117.2 km2 and a total population of 7,318

inhabitants.The municipality is

located in the district of Viseu.

The municipal holiday is June 24th.

This is Misarela Waterfall and upthere is Armamar with a beautiful landscape to Douro River

Armamar is located in Douro Wine Region but is also an apple culture region.

The Apple Festival takes place every year in

Armamar.
