Juliettes are full-fledged Girl Scouts and have the full range of Girl Scout experiences from which to choose. All Girl Scouts can attend Girl Scout events, go to camp, participate in the Cookie Program, earn badges and awards, and travel!

Learn how to unleash your creativity with just the stroke of a brush! Spend an afternoon at Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum learning the different techniques and styles of painting. Enhance your artistic skills while studying significant periods of art history. Discovery Gateway will provide the supplies and inspiration to paint a landscape or portrait of your own. Get in touch with your artistic side and see what you can accomplish! You will complete the requirements for the Painting Badge. In a STEM Exploration activity, girls will rotate through different stations, each exploring an exciting STEM program at Zaniac. Stations include: Minecraft Dem-onstration, Math Jeopardy, a Lego Robot-ics challenge, a Computer Programming activity, and Chess mini-games. Leading Edge Aviation is a full-service flight school and fixed based operator special-izing in helping people fulfill their dream of learning how to fly. As a general aviation community leader, Leading Edge has the goal of getting more women and girls in-volved and interested in aviation. Leading Edge is thrilled to introduce Girl Scouts to careers in aviation and light their imagina-tion of the many opportunities available. Participants will also work on part of their Sky Badge.Advocacy Initiative: By going to Careers in Aviation, girls will learn to seek challenges in the world by being inspired to explore Aviation Careers and learn more about flight. Join our museum-wide science scavenger hunt (complete with riddles), where you get to call the shots! Who knew science could be so...silly!? Girl Scouts will work with trained facilitators to solve riddles, conduct science experiments, and com-plete a scavenger hunt all while learning principles of science and technology. computer arts for Brownies Girls only
Brownies will learn the fundamentals of safely surfing the web as well as how to find online drawing programs and use them. They’ll look at popular electronic games and learn ways to modify parts to make their own exciting interactive games! Soft-ware includes Google Image SafeSearch, Google Chrome, Google Maps, SumoPaint, Sketch.io, Google Docs, and Powerpoint.
This process will be about creativity and play testing. This event will help girls earn the Computer Expert - Digital Arts and Making Games- Creative Play Badges.STEM Initiative: By going to Computer Arts for Brownies, girls will gain practical life skills, develop critical thinking, develop healthy relationships, promote coopera-tion and team building, become resource-ful problem solvers, and feel empowered to make a difference in the world by learning about various software and game technology. entertainment Technology for Juniors Girls Only
Girl Scouts will learn about 3-D character modeling, editing, level and sound design, along with animation in this workshop about game content creation! We’ll expose girls to multiple software platforms to help them develop their own games. The software is easily accessed from home. Software we will use includes Spore Creature Creator, Disney Infinity and Little Big Planet level editing sys-tems, Audacity, and Source Filmmaker. STEM Initiative: By going to Entertainment Technology for Juniors, girls will feel connect-ed to their communities, locally and globally, by learning about various software and game technology. Learn what it takes to make game reviews that are well-informed and critical which will help others build upon their skills. Game Visionary for Seniors Girls only
Light your creativity by creating a game that will help your community and beyond! Learn game design theory and then use professional software to make an actual game! Choose a topic that impacts the Salt Lake community - anything from air quality, homelessness, water conservation, education, healthcare, wildfires, wilder-ness areas, animal shelters – anything you care about and think would make a fun game! Using Gamemaker Studio, Seniors will create a game to show to friends, fam-ily, troop, and community! Join the Real Salt Lake family for a day of great soccer! Come to the Real Salt Lake Women’s match and have a chance to meet the Real Salt Lake Women and get autographs. We also welcome you to see Real Salt Lake play New England Revolu-tion. The first 80 people (girls and family members) to register will be invited to present the RSL shield for the pregame ceremonies. After the match, please stick around while we light up the night with our post-game fireworks show! Operation Sleepover Girl/Adult

This isn’t your ordinary day at Lagoon… it’s Girl Scout Lagoon Day and we want to flood the park with Rollercoaster-riding, Bumper Car-bumping, Jet Star-jammin’ Girl Scouts! As if all the Lagoon attractions aren’t enough, we’re throwing in some extra fun. All participating Girl Scouts will receive a free pedometer. Wear it all day at Lagoon and log your steps. Miss MediaMiss Media is an exciting, one-of-a-kind program that allows girls 12 and older to be trained in a variety of media skills and techniques. Through this program, girls will get the opportunity to be the voice of Girl Scouts of Utah on television and radio inter-views, Rotary and Chamber events, fundraising and community events, and more! This program is designed for girls who have an interest in communication, media, and public speaking.

Advocacy ApprenticesWhat are you passionate about? Learn how to advocate for issues you care for and make a change in the world! Our Advocacy Apprentices will be an exclusive group of girls who will get the opportunity to meet with government officials, lobby on Utah’s Capitol Hill, and have exclusive meals with Girl Scout Leadership. Throughout this, girls will learn how to communicate with elected officials and gain skills to stand up and use their voices to advocate for issues that they care about. The girls will decide the details of the program, tailoring it to their individuality. Don’t pass up this unique opportunity!

Mt. Majestic adventure Minicamp
Hike to the top of Mt. Majestic, the moun-tain overlooking Camp Cloud Rim! This moderate hike is five miles round trip. On Wednesday we will learn about hiking safe-ty, load our backpacks, and hit the trail. We will set up camp at the saddle and watch the sunset as we cook dinner. Thursday we’ll watch the sunrise from the summit of Mt. Majestic and spend the day exploring the area. Friday morning we’ll pack up our gear and head back down to Cloud Rim. Outdoor Initiative: By going on the Mt. Ma-jestic Adventure, girls will develop healthy relationships, promote cooperation and team building, and discover a strong sense of self by finding balance in life through utilizing the great outdoors as a resource! Lightning Peak adventure Minicamp
Hike to the top of Lightning Peak, the mountain overlooking Trefoil Ranch. This hike is about 14 miles round trip and can be moderate to strenuous. On Friday evening, we’ll learn about hiking safety and prepare trail snacks for the hike. Saturday morning, we’ll rise before the sun comes up to set out on our journey. We’ll watch the sunrise on the trail and be back to Trefoil Ranch just in time for dinner. Dinner will be served on Saturday evening before check-out. Outdoor Initiative: By going on the Light-ning Peak Adventure, girls will develop healthy relationships, promote coopera-tion and team building, and discover a strong sense of self by finding balance in life through utilizing the great outdoors as a resource! Registering for Activities
Girls can join in a variety of activities simply by registering for them. Girls create their own unique Girl Scout experience their way. “Girl Only” is listed when girls can attend an event without an adult accompanying them (adult supervision is provided).
SUPERviSion of GiRLS: • Girls who register individually without
an adult are placed into a group and supervised by a volunteer or paid staff member.
• Girls may register individually without an adult for many events (see event description); however, You & Me and troop only programs require adults.
• Girl Scouting is possible because of volunteers. Adults are encouraged to register for and attend events to help supervise girls. Program descriptions list when additional adult volunteers are needed (these volunteers are in addition to troop leaders and parents/guardians registered for programs).
TRooP REGiSTRaTionA troop may register and attend an event or activity as a group. When four or more girls from the same troop register for a program, an adult affiliated with the troop must register and attend the event with the girls. Troop leaders must supervise their troops at events they attend.
GEnERaL REGiSTRaTion infoRMaTionFor insurance purposes, girls and adults must be registered with Girl Scouts to participate in most programs. Family members and the community may participate in specially designated programs.

register Online Registration is available online at www.gsutah.org • To register a girl for a program you will need to: o Create a User Name and Password for yourself
(her guardian). You will have access to your family roster with all family members. For assistance with creating a user name and password, please contact the council during business hours. This will help prevent any issues with losing links to family members and profiles.
o Login as the adult guardian whom the council has listed as Guardian 1 for the girl.
o Select the program and register the girl by select-ing the box next to her name.
o Complete the registration information and pro-cess the order.
o Review payment due and registration prior to en-tering card information. Option is available to print a receipt with verification order number. You must complete order and all information required to process correctly. Items in a cart not processed will not hold space for processing later.
• Programs are on a first-come, first-served basis. You may sign your girl up for more than one program if you wish!
activity Scholarships • If applying for an Activity Scholarship, fill out the ap-
plication form. Form is located at www.gsutah,org - click on “Forms” in the upper right corner, then click on “Scholarships.” Mail form to: Girl Scouts of Utah, Activity Scholarship, 445 East 4500 South, Suite 125, Salt Lake City, UT 84107 or email form to: [email protected].
Other registration information • We have computers available during business hours at
each service center for your use if you don’t have ac-cess to internet at home or at your local library.
• If you are a registered Girl Scout in another council outside of Utah, please contact Cheryle Hatch, Program and Camp Registrar at [email protected] or (801) 265-8472.
confirmation informationYou will receive an email notice that your Girl Scout has been registered for the program. Once the registration deadline for a program occurs and the needed number of registrants is met, you will receive a confirmation email which will include a link to the following forms. These forms can also be found at www.gsutah.org. • Program Release Form (required to bring to all pro-
grams) • Overnights/Mini-Camps have these additional docu-
ments: Medication Form, Packing List
refunds • No refunds are given: o Once the registration deadline passes and the
confirmation email is sent. o If a girl returns home during a program because
of homesickness, misconduct, parent/guardian request, and/or any other circumstance.
• If a girl cannot attend a program or mini-camp, she can transfer her registration to another girl.
cancellations The program fee will be refunded if: • GSU receives a written notification of the cancelation at
least five weeks prior to the mini-camp or program. • The Girl Scout cannot attend her program because she
becomes ill or injured and GSU receives a request for the refund in writing with a physician’s note within one week after the scheduled program.
• GSU cancels the program.
