EGT: MODIFY TIMER

Page 14: GSM timer

For timers T3168 and T3192, the timer unit is either secondsor milliseconds. The values of these timers are decimal valueswhich indicate the timer values from 500 ms to 4 seconds fortimer T3168 and from 500 ms to 1.5 seconds for timer T3192every half second. In these cases, the parameter can have thefollowing values:

1 Value in seconds.

2 Value in milliseconds.

The default value is seconds.

timer value The parameter, given in a decimal format, indicates the newvalue of the timer. The guidance text shows the name, currentvalue, and value range of the timer in the selected time unit.

Parts of seconds can only be given by using the 10milliseconds time unit.

The parameter is obligatory.

Examples

1. Modify the value of T4 to 10 seconds.

ZEGT:T4:,10; or ZEGT:T4:1,10;

2. Modify the value of T3107 to 3.50 seconds.

ZEGT:T3107:2,350;

3. Output the guide for the timer value of timer T3168 in seconds.

PARAMETER IS OBLIGATORY */

Additional information

After completion of semantic checks, the MML writes the value to the PAFILE. Ifthis is carried out successfully, the file is updated to the disks. After updating thefile, the file is distributed to other units. If these actions are not successfullycarried out, the previous value is applied and rewritten to the file.

Execution printouts

COMMAND EXECUTED

The MML has updated the new value of the timer to the file.

Semantic error messages

If an error occurs, the general semantic error messages of MML commands areprinted out.

Execution error messages

/*** MODIFYING FAILED ***/

The MML is unable to modify the timer. The reason for the failure is stored in thelog file of the system.

/*** STORING FAILED ***/

The MML is unable to store the value of the timer in the file.

/*** MCMU - 01 NOT UPDATED ***/

/*** BCSU - 02 NOT UPDATED ***/

/*** TRY AGAIN ***/

The units that have not updated the file are listed. You can re-enter the commandto update files to units.
