Le istruzioni fissate nella Specifica GeneraleGS-06 si applicano per tutte le parti spediteper conto di PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A.,se non diversamente indicato nellaSpecifica Tecnica d’Acquisto.

Le prescrizioni degli imballaggi illustratenella presente specifica vanno applicatetenendo in particolare attenzione lecaratteristiche della merce fornita alla PAULWURTH ITALIA S.p.A. e comunquerappresentano un’esigenza minima.

A causa della peculiarità delle unità daimballare, è possibile che in alcuni casiqueste norme non possano venirosservate. Questi casi vanno di volta involta concordati con la funzione ControlloQualità della PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A., ele modalità d’imballaggio cui fare ricorsodevono soddisfare adeguatamente lapresente normativa.

Le apparecchiature vanno solitamenteimballate in funzione della loro natura, deltrasporto da effettuare e della durata diimmagazzinamento. Gli esempi indicati siriferiscono ad imballi per il trasportomarittimo. Gli imballaggi vanno realizzati aregola d’arte con un ingombro minimo e undimensionamento proporzionato al peso.

All’occorrenza, Ia presente specifica verràintegrata da particolari istruzionid’imballaggio e di contrassegno prescrittedella PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A. especificate nell’ordine.

0. SCOPE AND APPLICATIONFIELD

The instructions specified in the GeneralSpecification GS-06 apply to equipmentshipped on behalf of PAUL WURTH ITALIAS.p.A., unless otherwise specified inthe Supply Purchase TechnicalSpecification.

The packing designs described in thisspecification shall be taken into accountwith special regard to the particularcharacteristics of the materials supplied toPAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A. and shall beregarded as a minimum requirement.

Because of the particular nature of thepackages, it is possible that in some casesthese instructions cannot be complied.These situations must be, case by case,examined with the department of QualityControl of the PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A.and the packing measures must be inaccordance with this specification.

The packaging shall be usually selected asrequired for the nature of the respectiveequipment, transport type and route andduration of storage. The examples givenrefer to packaging of goods for seatransport. The shipping units shall bemade up in an appropriate way, savingspace, with due regard to a favourableratio of size to weight.

If necessary, the present specification willbe extended with special packaging andlabelling instructions prescribed by PAULWURTH ITALIA S.p.A. and indicated in theorder.

2.1 GENERALITÀ

Le particolarità nazionali del paese didestinazione, relative all’esecuzione e allanatura dei materiali industriali, devonoessere controllate e tenute inconsiderazione.

2.2 IMBALLAGGI DELLE CATEGORIEDA 1 A 4, 6 e da 8 A 10

Per le strutture portanti va impiegatosoltanto legno asciutto di conifere, secondoDIN 4074-1 (classe S10 o equivalente).

Per parti non portanti, all’interno dellamembrana di sbarramento delle casse, èconsentito l’impiego di legno asciuttosecondo DIN 4074-1 (classe S7 oequivalente).

2.1 GENERAL

Special requirements of the country ofdestination, concerning the execution andthe characteristics of the materials, shall becontrolled and taken into account.

2.2 PACKING OF CATEGORIES 1 TO4, 6 AND 8 TO 10

For load-bearing structural parts only theuse of coniferous dry timber as in DIN4074-1 (class S 10 or equivalent) isallowed.

For non-load-bearing structural elementsinside the barrier sheathing of cases, theuse of dry timber as in DIN 4074-1 (classS 7 or equivalent) is allowed.

Supplements to DIN 4074-1 shall beobserved.

3. REALIZZAZIONE DEGLIIMBALLAGGI

3.1 GENERALITÀ

Per imballi che superano una delle misureseguenti:

l’imballatore è tenuto, prima di procedereall’imballaggio, ad eseguire, su richiesta, idisegni degli imballaggi e a consegnarli allaPAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A., perapprovazione.

Le dimensioni massime dei colli, nel caso ditrasporto aereo, devono essere concordatecon PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A. di volta involta.

Vanno inoltre osservate le seguenticondizioni:

proprietà di resistenza e datiprogettuali secondo DIN 1052:2004(Tabelle 1 e 2)

carichi supposti, quali altezze dicaduta e accelerazione durante iltrasporto, in base ai calcoli diresistenza degli imballaggi in legnousati per Ia spedizione di mercipesanti

rinforzo diagonale dei telai a listelli;

assemblaggio:

coperchio - parete laterale - fondo (figura 1),

fondo - parete - laterale (figura2),

parete frontale - fondo - paretelaterale (figura 3);

3. EXECUTION OF PACKAGES

3.1 GENERAL

For packages exceeding the followingdimensions:

Length = 1190 cm

Width = 240 cm

Height = 240 cm

Weight = 20,000 kg

packer shall, upon request, draw uptransport/package sketches prior topackaging and hand these to PAUL WURTHITALIA S.p.A., for approval.

The maximum package dimensionsadmissible for air freight shall be agreedupon with PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A.from case to case.

The following conditions shall also be takeninto account:

strength values and design featuresas in DIN 1052:2004 (see Tables 1and 2)

assumed loads, such as drop heightsand acceleration during transport, asin strength calculations for woodenpacking used in shipping of heavy-goods

diagonal bracing of cleat frames

3.2 CATEGORIA 1CASSE IN LEGNO

La classificazione delle casse avviene inbase ai pesi da imballare (Tabella 3);i dettagli risultanti si ricavano dalle Tabelleda 4 a 10.

L’ esecuzione delle casse deve risponderealle esigenze seguenti:

le casse devono essere predisposteper il sollevamento con carrelloelevatore.

le casse devono essere accatastabilisino ad una pressione di 10 kN/m2

le casse di peso superiore a 30 kNdevono essere provviste di angoli percarichi pesanti in corrispondenza deipunti di attacco con le funi e di unaprotezione angolare in corrispondenzadel coperchio (spessore minimolamiera: 3 mm)

le casse devono resistere alle forzeapplicate dall’imbracatura durante iltrasbordo

deve essere possibile lamovimentazione con l’impiego dicarroponte e/o camion gru

Tutti i legni angolari trasversali vannoimbullonati ai pattini longitudinali

Il tipo di bulloni è indicato nella Tabella 10.

Per il tipo di cassa 5 (vedi tabella 3 e 5), ènecessaria una bullonatura doppia.

In caso di impiego di supporti verticali èrichiesta una sicurezza doppia contro Iarottura. Gli elementi verticali vanno fissatinelle loro posizioni.

Le parti laterali e frontali vanno eseguitecon tavole verticali.

La parte inferiore dei coperchi deve esseremunita di fogli in polietilene cheimpediscano Ia penetrazione di umidità.Tali fogli vengono posti tra le tavole e iltelaio a listelli.

3.2 CATEGORY 1WOODEN CASES

Cases are assigned to type classesaccording to the weights to be packed(Table 3); details resulting from thisclassification are shown in Table 4 to 10.

The cases must be designed in such a waythat:

it has at least two entries for theforklift

the cases can be stacked inconventional loading up to a stackingimpact pressure of 10 kN/m2

cases with a weight higher than 30kN are provided with at the rope slingpoints and with edge guards at thelids (min. metal thickness: 3 mm)

the packages withstand the tying-upforces when reloading

handling with hoisting gears and/orindustrial trucks is possible

All the headers shall be bolted up with thelongitudinal skids.

Bolt details are shown in Table 10.

Double-bolting is required for cases of type5 (see table 3 and 5).

When vertical side cleats are used, proof oftwofold safety against buckling is requiredfor these cleats. The vertical elements shallbe fixed in their position.

The side and end faces shall be providedwith vertical wooden sheathing.

Case tops shall be sealed against ingress ofmoisture with appropriate sealing elementsat the bottom side of the top. The sealingelement shall be placed between woodensheathing and cleat frame.

Il fondo delle casse va munito di fori eferitoie che permettano l’evacuazionedell’acqua di condensa e dell’umiditàinfiltrata. Fori e aperture vanno protettedall’ingresso d’insetti nocivi.

Le aperture verticali delle casse, eventi undiametro di 500 mm, vanno coperte contavole in legno compensato di unospessore compreso tra 5 e 6 mm e devonoessere fissate.

Holes/slots shall be provided in the casebottoms for draining condensation waterand moisture. The holes/slots shall beprotected against entry of vermin.

Vertical opening of the package withdiameters 500 mm shall be covered with5 or 6 mm thick plywood panels. Thesepanels shall be fixed in their position.

3.8 CATEGORIA 7SLITTE / SELLE

Il carrello deve rispondere alle esigenzeseguenti:

la slitta deve essere sollevabilealmeno da due lati

per un peso superiore a 30 kN, i puntidi attacco con le funi devono esseremuniti di angoli per carichi pesanti

la slitta deve resistere alle forze dellefuni durante il trasbordo

deve essere possibile lamovimentazione con l’impiego dicarroponte e/o camion gru

La struttura può essere sia in legno sia inacciaio.

Qualora non sia possibile una bullonaturadiretta, il fissaggio sulla slitta ha luogo permezzo di adeguate fasciature.

La lunghezza e la larghezza del carrello nondevono essere inferiori alle dimensioni delmateriale da trasportare.

Le estremità della slitta vanno smussate a45° fino ad ottenere uno spessore di legnodel 30% rispetto a quello iniziale.

Se necessario, vanno inserite appositeimbottiture sia tra le parti da imballare e lasottobase, sia tra le parti ed i mezzi difissaggio.

3.8 CATEGORY 7SLEDGES

The sledge must be designed in such away that:

it has at least two entries for forklift

the rope sling points are providedwith heavy-lift corners when theweight exceeds 30 kN

it withstands the tying-up forcesduring reloading


The sledge structure can be in timber or insteel.

Fastening of the goods is on the sledgeand appropriate bands shall be used, ifdirect bolting is not possible.

Length and width of the sledge structureshall not be smaller than the dimensions ofthe goods.

The ends of the sledge shall be bevelled atan angle of 45° leaving at least 30 % ofthe initial one.

If necessary, appropriate padding shall beprovided between goods and supportingstructure and between goods and fasteningmeans.

Bundling shall be carried out as follows:

with square-timber clamps andclamping screws (threaded rods)

with intermediate layers of wood,plywood or plastic material,dimensioned as required for weight ofthe goods and secured againstslipping with clamping screws

with suitable screw/bolts whoseprojecting lengths shall be coveredwith strips provided with appropriaterecesses; the cover strips shall befastened with nails; the screwconnection shall be properly secured

the clamps can be in form of channels

When this type of packing is used forfragile material, as refractory bricks,further protection on edges shall beapplied

3.10 CATEGORIA 9PROTEZIONI LOCALI

Le parti soggette a danneggiamento pereffetto degli agenti climatici e/o di azionimeccaniche inerenti al trasporto devonoessere opportunamente protette.

Deve essere prevista l’applicazione di unaprotezione da contatto e di un foglioadesivo in alluminio.

Le superfici lavorate devono esserecompletamente rivestite.

La rubinetteria e le parti sporgenti devonoessere completamente rivestite edeventualmente imbottite.

Le superfici lavorate con macchina utensilee/o le superfici di collegamento devonoessere protette localmente con profilati dilegno.

I singoli componenti devono essere tenutiseparati con traversine in legno

3.10 CATEGORY 9PLANKING

The parts could be subjected to damagesdue to the climatic and mechanicalconditions during the transport shall beproperly protected

Protection by application of contactpreservative and adhesive aluminium foilshall be provided.

Wood planking of machined faces shallcover the entire surface.

Fittings, valves and projecting parts shallbe fully wood-packed and padded ifnecessary.

Machined and/or connection surfaces shallbe locally protected by means of woodenplates

4.2 FIXATION OF GOODS

The goods shall be bolted to the casebottom structure through load-distributing

La distanza minima tra i bulloni e rispettoal bordo sollecitato nel verso delle fibre é di7 d, comunque almeno di 10 cm.

Il fissaggio delle parti mobili va effettuatoin maniera qualitativamente pari alfissaggio mediante bullonatura sul fondodella cassa.

Qualora l’avvitamento/bullonatura delmateriale sul fondo della cassa risultiimpossibile o solo parzialmente possibile,sono da predisporre strati intermedi,imbottiture, supporti o bloccaggi adeguati,onde evitare lo scivolamento della merceall’interno della cassa.

In tal caso il fornitore dovrà prendereadeguate misure come:

compressione con legno di pressioneed asta filettata (per il diametrominimo del bulloni vedi tabella 10)

reggiatura per mezzo di filod’assestamento e tenditori (Ia sezionedel filo deve essere certificatasufficiente)

puntellatura con legno (evitare ognicontatto diretto tra il legno e ilmetallo).

4.3 TRASPORTO CON CONTAINER

In caso di trasporto con container ilmateriale dovrà essere stivato in modouniforme, rispettando il naturale centro digravità del container.

Il materiale all’interno del container dovràessere fissato con la necessaria quantità dicinghie opportunamente dimensionate.

If screw-fastening/bolting of themerchandise to the case bottom structureis impossible or possible only to a limitedextent, use of appropriate intermediatelayers, padding elements, supports orblocking elements shall be made to avoidslipping of the merchandise in the case.

In such case the supplier shall adoptappropriate measures as::

jamming of goods using woodenthrust blocks and threaded rods (min.bolt diameter, see Table 10)

lashing of goods using pre-stretchedwire and turnbuckle (proof ofsufficient wire cross-section required)

bracing with wooden members (directwood-to-metal contact notpermissible)

4.3 CONTAINER TRANSPORT

In case of transport by container thematerial shall be stowed in a uniformmanner , respecting the natural center ofgravity of the container.

The material inside the container shall besecured with the required amount ofappropriately sized belts

5. IMBALLO INTERNO

La protezione dei pezzi (protezione dacontatto) va controllata prima dell’imballoper verificare l’assenza di danni sullesuperfici esterne.

La protezione anticorrosione avviene inbase ai tempi di trasporto e diimmagazzinamento richiesti, mettendo ilmateriale sotto una fodera stagna sigillatacon aggiunta di disidratante.

I materiali usati a tale scopo sono:

foglio in polietilene: PE LD polietilene,0.2mm forte conforme alla normaDIN 55530

L'uso di film PE con spessori inferioria 0,2 millimetri per le cassettesigillate può essere accettata se irequisiti tecnici della DIN 55530 sonosoddisfatti.

foglio in alluminio multistrato osandwich film conforme alla normaDIN 55531/TL8135-0003.

Il periodo massimo di protezione è di 24mesi, 12 mesi quando si utilizza la pellicolain Polietilene

In alternativa, è consentita l’applicazione diuna protezione secondo il metodo VCl conmateriale adeguato (carta, foglio, espansoecc.), previa consultazione di PAUL WURTHITALIA S.p.A., allo scopo di verificare Iacompatibilità.

Le membrane di sbarramento devonoessere dimensionate in modo tale da poteressere aperte e chiuse correttamente a dueriprese.

La quantità necessaria di disidratante vacalcolata secondo DIN 55474 perun’umidità residua massima del 40%. Pervalutare Ia permeabilità al vapore acqueo,vanno eseguiti i procedimenti secondo DIN53122-1, tenendo presente che i foglivanno controllati sia nello stato di forniturasia di stagionatura.

5. INTERNAL PACKAGING

The preservation applied to the parts shallbe checked before the packaging forabsence of damage on outer surfaces

Depending upon transport and storagetimes involved, corrosion protection shallbe provided by sealing the goods in plasticfilm, with addition of desiccant.

Following materials are used for the barrierlayer:

Polyethylene film PE LD polyethylene,0.2mm strong to comply with DIN55530

The use of PE films with thicknessesbelow 0.2mm for sealed enclosurescan be accepted if the technicalrequirements in DIN 55530 for suchexceptions are met.

Aluminium multilayer films orsandwich films to comply with DIN55531/TL8135-0003.

Max. 24 months protection, max. 12months when using PE film

Preservation using the VCI method withappropriate carrier material (paper, film,foam pack, etc.) is an alternativepossibility, but requires previousconsultation with PAUL WURTH ITALIAS.p.A., regarding compatibility.

Barrier sheathings shall be designed toallow their proper opening and closing twotimes.

The desiccant quantity required iscalculated as in DIN 55474 for amaximum permissible ultimate humidity of40 %. Water vapour permeability isestablished using the procedure specifiedin DIN 53122-1, taken into account thatthe foils shall be checked both in as-delivered and in aged condition.

Le condizioni climatiche in cui effettuare ilcontrollo vanno orientate a quelle delpaese destinatario. Qualora vengano amancare i dati climatici, ci si deve riferirealle condizioni climatiche di controllo Bsecondo DIN 53122-1. Se la permeabilitàal vapore di acqua non è indicata, vaapplicato il coefficiente di permeabilità alvapor d’acqua massimo ammesso (valoremedio dello stato di consegna e dello statodi stagionatura) previsto dalle relativecondizioni tecniche di fornitura.

Per l’uso degli essiccanti il fornitore dovràattenersi alle seguenti regole:

i sacchetti di disidratante (del tipopovero di polvere) vanno collocati nelterzo superiore del collo;

il fissaggio dei sacchetti didisidratante va eseguito in modo cheessi resistano durevolmente allesollecitazioni del trasporto, dellamovimentazione e dell’aumento dipeso dovuto all’assorbimento diumidità;

è da evitare ogni contatto diretto tra ildisidratante e la merce;

si possono utilizzare solo sali prodottiin accordo alla norma DIN 55473.

Parti sporgenti e spigoli vivi vanno imbottitiin modo da impedire l’usura, e laperforazione del foglio per effettodell’attrito. L’aria presente nella membranadi sbarramento va aspirata.

Deve essere evitato il ristagno d'acquastagnante sul sacco barriera attraversoun'adeguata progettazione e costruzioni delcoperchio.

Particolare attenzione dovrà essere ripostanell’esecuzione dei giunti saldati/cucituresigillate.

The testing climates to be used dependupon the country of destination. If noclimate data are available, use is made oftesting climate B as in DIN 53122-1. Ifno particular proof of water vapourpermeability has been furnished, the max.permissible water vapour permeabilityfactor mean value of as-delivered and agedcondition) stated in the correspondingtechnical delivery condition shall be used.

Proof of the test results shall be furnishedin the form of a conformity certificate.

The Supplier, using desiccants shall followthe following rules:

desiccant bags (low-dust type) shallbe attached properly secured againstdropping in the upper third of thepackage;

fastening of the desiccant bags shallbe so as to permanently withstandloads due to transport, handling andweight increase by absorption ofhumidity;

direct contact between merchandiseand desiccant is not allowed;

Projecting parts and sharp edges shall beproperly padded to prevent wearingthrough and piercing of the foil. Air insidethe barrier layer shall be sucked off.

Stagnant water on the barrier film must beavoided by adequate design and skilled lidconstructions.

Particular care shall be taken in executionof welded/sealed joints and seams.

6. MARCATURA

6.1 COMPOSIZIONE

La marcatura comprende la dicitura e isimboli di movimentazione.

6.1.1 Dicitura

La dicitura dipende dal progetto e fa parteintegrante delle istruzioni di spedizionePAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A., che ilfornitore dovrà richiedere in tempo utile.

6.1.2 Simboli di movimentazione

Oltre alla dicitura sopraindicata, i collidevono riportare i simboli dimovimentazione internazionali secondoEN ISO 780.

La marcatura del centro di gravità e delpunto di imbracatura va effettuata per tuttii colli di peso superiore a 30 kN.

La classe di stoccaggio va indicata permezzo di simboli (vedi punto 6.5).

6.2 REALIZZAZIONE DELLAMARCATURA

Salvo prescrizioni diverse, tutte le diciturevanno eseguite in cifre arabe e in letteremaiuscole latine.

Le dimensioni dei caratteri di scrittura siscelgono in funzione della superficieprevista per Ia dicitura; caratteri discrittura inferiori a 2 cm non sonoammessi.

I simboli di movimentazione si applicano inbase alla norma EN ISO 780, con ledimensioni dei caratteri ivi indicate.

6.3 APPLICAZIONE DELLA MARCATURA

La marcatura del collo avviene tramitemascherina utilizzando colore contrastanteresistente all’acqua di mare e alla luce (dipreferenza nero RAL 9005), o contarghette di materiale, contenuto e

6.1.1 Inscription

Inscription is project-related and is part ofthe shipping instructions of PAUL WURTHITALIA S.p.A., which will be made availableto the Contractor in due time.

6.1.2 Handling marking

In addition to the inscription, the packagesshall be provided with the relevantinternationally used handling marking as inEN ISO 780.

All packages with weights exceeding 30 kNrequire marking of the centre of gravityand slinging point.

Storage-class marking is with the symbolsshown under item 6.5.

6.2 MARKING EXECUTION

Unless otherwise specified, all markingshall be in Arabic figures and Latin capitalletters.

The letter size depends on the sizes of theinscription surfaces; letter sizes of less than2 cm shall not be used.

Handling marking shall be made accordingto EN ISO 780 with letter sizes specifiedin the standard.

6.3 APPLICATION OF MARKING

Packages shall be marked either withlabelling template using seawater-resistant,light-proof contrasting paint (preferablyblack RAL 9005) or using labelling platesapproved by PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A.,

6.5 PACKING LISTS

Per ogni spedizione il Fornitore devecompilare il modulo F/9 “Distinta colli” e ilmodulo F/10 “Distinta contenuto colli”,secondo le modalità indicate nella SpecificaGenerale GS.02 punti 8.2.5 e 8.2.6 e tempiindicati nella Specifica Tecnica/Ordine.

Una copia della documentazione, in bustaimpermeabile all’acqua, deve esserecollocata all’interno di ogni collo, insiemecon gli equipaggiamenti, mentre unaseconda copia deve essere fissata su unlato esterno del collo.

La busta sul lato esterno del collo deveessere coperta da una sottile piastrinametallica, fissata o al collo o direttamentesulle parti metalliche nel caso diequipaggiamenti senza imballaggio.

Nel caso di consegne con container labusta con la documentazione deve esserefissata sul lato interno della porta destra.

Consegne senza Packing list non sarannoaccettate e saranno rese al fornitore a suespese.

6.5 PACKING LISTS

For each package, the form F/9 “Packinglist” and the form F/10 “Packing contentlist” shall be issued by the Supplier ,according to the modalities indicated in theGeneral Specification GS.02 chapter 8.2.5and 8.2.6 and times indicated in theTechnical Specification/Order.

A copy of the documentation, in awaterproof envelope, shall be put insidethe package, together with the equipment,while another copy shall be fixed on theouter side of the package.

The envelope on the outer side of thepackage shall be covered with a thinmetallic plate, fixed to the package ordirectly to the metallic parts of theequipment without packing.

In the case of containerized shipments theenvelope with the documents shall beattached to the inside of the right door.

Consignments without packing list shall notbe accepted and shall be returned to thesupplier at his own costs.

7. CONTROLLO

Il fornitore dovrà eseguire e documentareopportuni controlli durante le fasi di imballoe marcatura in accordo a quanto stabilitonel presente capitolo.

Il fornitore deve comunicare a PAULWURTH ITALIA S.p.A la data di inizio delleoperazioni di imballaggio con almeno 15giorni di anticipo, salvo diverse prescrizionicontrattuali.

Il fornitore deve consegnare a PAULWURTH ITALIA S.p.A. per ogni collo, icertificati dei materiali impiegati, ildocumento di calcolo e la lista materialiutilizzati.

PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A. si riserva ildiritto di presenziare le operazioni diimballo e marcatura dei colli o di eseguireuna ispezione prima della spedizione.

L’ispezione sarà eseguita o presenziata daun ispettore della PAUL WURTH ITALIAS.p.A. o da un ente terzo designato daPAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A.

Al momento dell’ispezione le cassedovranno essere completamente aperte,con coperchio e pareti separati.

Il controllo sarà eseguito in due fasi:

1 fase:

Controllo del fissaggio dei materiali sulfondo della cassa con gli opportuni sistemi,e se previsto, chiusura del sacco barrierainserimento dei sali di essiccazione edesecuzione del vuoto.

2 fase:

Controllo del posizionamento delle pareti,dell’inserimento del packing list all’interno esulla parete esterna del collo, dellachiusura con il coperchio, e della marcaturadel collo secondo le prescrizioni contrattualie/o specifica tecnica.

Per ogni collo il fornitore dovrà inviare aPWIT un Report di Ispezionedell’Imballaggio e della Marcatura

7. INSPECTION

The supplier shall execute and documentappropriate inspections during the phasesof packaging and marking according to therequirement stated in the present section.

PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A. shall beinformed by Supplier at least 15 days priorto beginning of packaging, unlessotherwise required by contract.

The Supplier must deliver to PAUL WURTHITALY S.p.A, for each package, thecertificates of the materials used, thecalculation documents and the list of thematerials used.

PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A. reserves theright to witness the packing and markingoperation or to perform a check prior tothe shipment.

The inspection may be carried out orwitnessed by a PAUL WURTH’s inspector orby a third party designated by PAULWURTH ITALIA S.p.A.

At the moment of inspection, the boxesshall be completely open lid and wallsseparately laid aside.

The check will be executed in two steps:

1 step:

Check of the fixation of material on the boxbottom, through proper systems, ifprovided, closing of coupled barrier bagtogether with drier salts and relevantvacuuming.

2 step:

Check of the positioning of box walls,insertion of packing list inside the box andon its external wall, closing with lid,marking for dispatching according tocontractual prescriptions and/or as peritem of technical specification.

For each package the Supplier shall delivera Packing and Marking Inspection Reportcontaining the photographic documentation

In caso di emergenza, rischi di gravi dannie/o in caso il fornitore non rimedi i difetti inun ragionevole periodo di tempo, PAULWURTH ITALIA S.p.A., senza ulterioreavvisi al fornitore, adotterà tutte le azioniper rimediare direttamente o a mezzo terzi,i difetti a spese e rischi a carico delfornitore, senza comunque sollevare ilfornitore dalle sue responsabilitàcontrattuali.

Il fornitore risponde nei confronti di PAULWURTH ITALIA S.p.A. di un imballaggiocorretto in base alle esigenze minimespecificate nella presente SpecificaGenerale, nonché della qualità ineccepibiledel materiale d’imballaggio.

Ogni modifica delle presenti istruzionirichiede l’autorizzazione preliminare scrittada parte di PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A..L’Appaltatore risponde nei confronti diPAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A. di tutti i dannieventualmente causati al committentedovuti ad imballaggio non conforme.

L’ispezione dell’imballaggio nonsvincola l’imballatore dal proprioimpegno di garanzia e dalla propriaresponsabilità.

Should packages arrive at port of shipmentor at destination in a damaged orinadequate condition, PAUL WURTH ITALIAS.p.A will immediately notify the supplier .

Upon notification the supplier shall takeactions without delay to remedy anydefects or inadequate packing and/ormaking conditions.

In emergency cases, in case of risk ofextremely high damages and/or in case thesupplier does not remedy the defects in areasonable period of time, PAUL WURTHITALIA S.p.A has the right without furthernotice to the supplier to rectify the defectsby itself or have it rectified by third partyat supplier’s expense and risk. This doesnot relieve the supplier from his contractualliability for performance of the contract.

Supplier shall be liable to PAUL WURTHITALIA S.p.A. for correct packaging incompliance with these minimumrequirements and for perfect quality of thepacking material.

Any deviation from these conditionsrequires previous written approval by PAULWURTH ITALIA S.p.A.. The Supplier shallbe liable to PAUL WURTH ITALIA S.p.A. forany damage resulting from improper orfaulty packing.

Package inspection does not relievethe packaging company from itswarranty obligations and liability,
