“If Christians in places of responsibility in the fields of
medicine, law, government, education, the media, and
even the church begin to humble themselves and pray
and seek God's face and turn from their wicked ways,
we could influence this culture and make the presence of
Christ felt top to bottom and bottom to top.”
- Tony Evans, The Alternative, heard weekdays
at 9:30 am
“We have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity
of redeeming and preserving grace; too proud to pray to
the God who made us. Oh my friend, if ever there was a
time to pray, it’s now.”
- Carter Conlon, It’s Time to Pray, featured throughout
the day and night on Faith Radio
“The Bible makes it clear that prayer is intended as the
line of connection from the heart of the praying person
directly to the heart of God.”
- Ravi Zacharias, Just Thinking, heard weekdays at
12:25 pm

Communities throughout
our listening area have
special places dedicated
for prayer. The Dothan
Prayer House, modeled after
the International House of
Prayer, provides a place for
believers from all denominations
to pray - 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week. Mike Brooks, who
led the way to organize the
house, said, "Our purpose was
revival and unity for our city."
Pictured on the cover is a Faith
Radio cross covered in prayer
requests that is uniquely placed
in the first room of the Dothan
Prayer House. Montgomery has
the House of Prayer located on
the northwest corner of I-85
and Perry Hill Road. It also has
His Vessel Ministries, with its
Watchmen on the Wall pro-
gram, which is described in our
Listener Testimony. Let us know
if you have a special place of
prayer in your community!

Upcoming Faith Radio Events! It was over 12 years ago that Jo Hancock got desperate for God.
“I needed God in my life and in my situation. I got to the end of myself,
and I didn’t know anywhere else to run except to the throne of God,”
she shared with us recently. “I knew that it was going to be the season
that God taught me the POWER of prayer.”
God did teach Jo, and He used Jo to teach many others! In 2004,
God called Jo and her husband, Keith, to start His Vessel Ministries.
They have discipled hundreds from churches all around the Faith
Radio listening area, and they have helped grow the prayer muscles
of our community.
Jo passionately shared, “I realized what access we have to Father
God through the power of prayer.” She discovered that she had to be
taught how to pray, and now she has a great mission to share what
she learned. Jo has published a discipleship teaching resource
God of Order: The Blueprint for Bringing Peace to the Home. “The
heart of God is that He wants us loving Him and communing with Him
every day,” Jo shared. She teaches the critical importance of a prayer
closet. She references Matthew 6:6, where we are instructed, “go into
your room, close the door and pray...then your Father, who sees what
is done in secret, will reward you.” God delights in us asking and invit-
ing Him to be involved in our life – and when He is invited, He moves!
His Vessel Ministries also covers our community in prayer through
the Watchmen on the Wall program. Individual “watchmen” volunteer
daily to walk the streets of Montgomery while praying and reading
scripture aloud.
Jo prays for and supports our ministry. “Faith Radio is a powerful
trumpet for our region. You send out the message and call the people
together, providing daily encouragement and
hope. You help the body of Christ to know
what is going on and what God is doing so
people can get involved.”

God continually calls His peopleto grow deeper in relationship with Him, and a key discipline to that spiritual growth is prayer. Throughprayer, believers have the privilege ofcoming into our Father’s presence andcommunicating with the very God ofthe universe! God calls us to praywithout ceasing and live life in light ofHis constant presence in our lives.Faith Radio wants to encourage you towalk hand-in-hand, side-by-side, withour Savior, who has much to show usabout prayer.
First, prayer is personal.God has invited each of us to
enter His presence, and the way to Histhrone has been provided by Jesusalone. There is one name by which weare saved, and one name in which weare instructed to pray. God desires forone-on-one fellowship between us andHim, and we do that through Jesus.
Next, prayer is practical.Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself
also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.” Prayer is about aligning our heart’sdesires with those of God. When that happens, we will see God work in powerful ways in our lives and the lives of others. The sound biblicalteaching on Faith Radio can help you align with God’s desires and gain a greater understanding of Himand His will.
Prayer is also powerful.James 5:16 tells us, “the prayer of a
righteous man is powerful and effective.”We are engaged in a spiritual battlethat can only be fought effectivelyusing spiritual weapons. God has provided the armor of God, and theBible instructs us in Ephesians 6 toarm ourselves with it. Our true enemies are not physical, but spiritual, and we must appropriate the spiritualtools that God has made available tous. Prayer is one of those tools.
Finally, prayer can operate in plurality.
When we pray in agreement with other believers, we can see Goddo great things in the midst of achurch, a Bible study group, or a groupof believers united by a common purpose. Faith Radio regularly high-lights how God’s people are working together. The National Day of Prayer,Decision America, MontgomeryHouse of Prayer, and Dothan PrayerHouse are examples of how the bodyof Christ is functioning together in a spirit of unity.
You can pretty much
tell how dependent you
are on God by how often
you feel the
need to cry out to
Him in prayer.

The 2016 elections are critical. We will be electing a new President of the UnitedStates, new members of Congress, and people to serve in a variety of local offices. It’svery important for Christians to be involved in the process of selecting these leaders.

L - LeadershipPray… for God to raise up leaders who will uphold His commandments.
… for leaders’ hearts to be prepared for the tasks to which He has called them.… for Christian believers to surround leaders in prayer.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 - Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, andgiving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may leada quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

T - Total SurrenderPray… for the next election to usher in a fresh outpouring of the Spirit of God.
… for revival and spiritual awakening to be evident in our midst.… for a new alignment with God’s principles going forward.
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, andpray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, andwill forgive their sin and heal their land.

Prayer is an essential component ofthe Christian life, and in the body ofChrist, we are fortunate to have
quality leaders who can inspire us to recognize the importance of prayer anddrawing near to God.
At the recent National ReligiousBroadcasters (“NRB”) convention, I visitedwith several such leaders and featured manyof these conversations on The Meeting House. The current Honorary Chairman of the National Dayof Prayer, Tony Evans of The Alternative, talked withme about his involvement in leading God's people in prayer. Joni Eareckson Tada of Joni andFriends, a former Honorary Chair, also visited us during NRB. This year’s National Day of Prayer is May 5.
Carter Conlon, pastor of Times Square Church, who is featured on It's Time to Pray, was also featuredin a Faith Radio/Meeting House NRB conversation.
This year, Franklin Graham is visiting all 50 statesto call Christians to pray for the direction of ournation. Montgomery will be the site of one of theseDecision America prayer meetings on Thursday, April 14, at the State Capitol. Tom Phillips, who is theVice-President in charge of DecisionAmerica, was an NRB guest.
We also spoke with individuals such as Satish Kumar, pastor of India's largestand the world's third-largest church, andStorly and Kate Michel of 4VEH thatbroadcasts Faith Radio programming inHaiti. These conversations remind us of thevastness of the body of Christ and thetremendous work God is doing throughoutthe world.

Thank You! A memorial gift is a meaningful way to honor someone at the time of death by recognizing that person’s
Christian faith and testimony. Similarly, an honorarium is a tangible way of honoring a living person’s
testimony. We are thankful for individuals listed below who chose to honor friends and loved ones through
a gift that extends the message of Christ through Faith Radio’s ministry.

PRAYERby Billy Irvin, Director of Ministry Relations
We invite and greatly appreciate your gifts of prayer for this ministry. James5:16 tells us, “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”
Here are some specific ways you can pray for Faith Radio:
✔ Praise God for this ministry. We are thankful for over 30 years ofministry, and we look forward to doing more Kingdom work in thedays ahead!
✔ Pray our broadcast reaches many. God’s Word will providestrength and encouragement for the Body of Christ through ourbroadcast. We are thankful to touch thousands each day, and we pray to be His light to those in darkness.
✔ Pray we are always doing Ephesians 4:15. Pray we are “speakingthe truth with love” in today’s culture. There are so many confusingissues, and we want God's truth to be clearly proclaimed.
✔ Pray for the cheerful and giving hearts of God’s people. We area listener-supported ministry that does not sell any advertising. Prayfor generous hearts that will help us meet our ministry requirement of$2,400 per day.
We are humbled by your prayers for Faith Radio, and we are honored to giveyou the gift of prayer. How can we pray for YOU? Each weekday, we have aspecial staff prayer time where we lift up churches, ministries, events, and you!We invite you to allow us to be your prayer partner.
