How Will We Implement: CIPANot only do we want to receive the E-rate discount for applying

appropriate filters to school computers, but most importantly we want to protect students.

We will maintain appropriate filters and website blocks to keep students from being able to access inappropriate content.

If, for some reason, these filters or blocks are weakened, disciplinary action will be take.

The media specialist will teach proper website searching skills and which websites are appropriate for student usage.

How Will We Implement: The Patriot Act

●The media specialist will inform students about digital footprints. ○ Students need to be aware of the fact that anything they post leaves a “footprint”

that can be retraced by anyone, including teachers, a boss, and the government.

○ Online postings often say more about someone than anything else.

●The media specialist will also inform students of what the Patriot Act consist of and how this will affect their computer accessing abilities.

●The media specialist will also inform students about responsible posting online and social media.

This looks great ladies. I think that its ready to submit. You all just let me know
Sally Gazaway
I added the last one. I also teach middle school and feel like it needs to be said that students will be taught about responsible posting on social media and online videos etc.
Amanda Mears
Too cool...we all teach middle school! They are a rare breed, but I dearly love them! Who wants to submit?
Teara Powell
I teach middle school students and I think that the digital footprint is important to the patriot act. The government can access all their information and with digital footprints they have laid it all out for them.
