Named after King George III of England, Georgetown, the capital of the state of Penang, is a rich and interesting blend of the old and new. This tour takes you to a selection of the major landmarks of Penang and is a great introduction to the rich history and diversity of the island. You will visit Fort Cornwallis originally built by the British East India Company in 1808 and Mahamariaman Temple (the oldest Hindu temple in town). The next destination is Little India at Georgetown where offers local bric-a-brac items.

Then, we will stopover at Clan Jetty before proceed to restaurant. Clan Jetty is actually a village built on stilts and these were built by some pioneer Chinese immigrants. The Clan jetties consist of eight jetties, named after their surnames, “Lim”, “Chew”, “Tan”, “Lee”, “Yeoh”, “Koay”, “Peng Aun” and Mixed Clans. Among the remaining jetties, only the Chew Jetty continues to have any clan-related activity - the once a year annual worship of its Temple Deity and "Tee

Kong" (God of Heaven or Sky-God ).

Enjoy authentic Nyonya set lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, we will visit to Pinang Peranakan Mansion - the typical home of a rich Baba of a century ago is recreated to offer a glimpse of their opulent lifestyle and of their many customs and traditions. With over 1,000 pieces of antiques and collectibles of the era on display, this Baba-Nyonya museum is also housed in one of Penang’s heritage mansion of eclectic design and architecture. It built at the end of the 19th century by one of local history’s famous personalities.

Next destination is Cheong Fatt Sze – the blue mansion. It is one of the 10 greatest mansions in the World’s Lonely Planet 2011. This historic courtyard house was the brainchild of Cheong Fatt Tze, a prominent Chinese merchant in Penang during the 19th century, who rigorously incorporated feng shui principles and Western decorative sensibilities in the creation of this architectural masterpiece.

The limestone, weathered and eroded by air and water, produce the wonderful rock formations, secluded lagoons and caves occupied by stalagmites and stalactites. Spanning an area of approximately 100 square kilometers, this area has been gazette as Kilim Geoforest Park, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Another attraction is the cable car ride in Langkawi which covers a total distance of only 2.2 km linking the Base Station at the foothill of Machinchang to the overruling height of the Top Station whice gives a commanding views of Langkawi from the western sea cost. The Cable Car system with its coherent concept and masterplan of Gunung Machinchang has united all the attractive features to attract tourists from all over the world. The Langkawi cable car with its elegant gondolas will take you on a smooth glide above the canopy of rainforest to the ancient peak of Mount Mat Cincang. Enjoy the spectacular view of the surrounding area as the cable car takes you right up to 708 meters above sea level.

1. RATES AND PRICES1.1. Currency

All rates are quoted in Malaysia Ringgit (MYR), unless otherwise specified.

1.2. Goods and Service Tax (GST)A conversion rate of USD 1.00 = MYR 3.00 will be adopted when making payment to

Asia Experience or at the prevailing market rate. Should the Malaysian Government

change the official exchange rate or its foreign exchange system, Asia Experience

reserves the right to change the conversion rate.

Packages are quoted based on the minimum number of persons minimum number of

persons mentioned above. Should the number of persons decrease, the tour may NOT

Penang & Langkawi Package Price is inclusive of return flight ticket and the airfare

is only applicable for booking before 1st May 2013, otherwise there will be a differences

on the airfare and we will charge you accordingly.

All rates quoted are correct at the time printing. In the event a service provider

increases it prices to Asia Experience during the course of contract, Asia Experience

The Malaysian Government has announced that it will introduce a Goods and Service

Tax (GST). However, the new GST rate has not yet been decided. Therefore, rates

quoted in the proposal shall be subjected to the new GST when it comes into force.

2.3. Acceptance of BookingAll confirmed booking sent by Asia Experience will be considered to have been

accepted.

3. PAYMENT MODE3.1. Payment can be made using one of the following modes:-

3.1.1 Telegraphic TransferAfter making payment, the respective delegate has to advise Asia Experience on the

file reference and/or invoice number, the date of remittance, the total amount remitted

with a detailed breakdown of amount paid for each invoice/file, the delegate’s banker

and the corresponding bank in Malaysia. A fax copy or a scan copy by email of the

remittance advice obtained from the delegate’s bank will also facilitate in the

clearance of payment from our local bank.

3.1.2 Credit CardFor payment by credit cards, the respective delegate must send the following details

to Asia Experience:

Fill up the credit card authorization form

A clear photo copy of the respective delegate’s credit card (front & back of the

credit card)

A clear photo copy of the respective delegate’s passport

Payment by credit cards shall incur a minimum of 3% (for Visa/Master) or 5% (for

AMEX) credit card charges based on the amount transacted.

3.2. Payment AmountPayment amount received must be as per invoice amount due to Asia Experience

Tours Sdn Bhd. Asia Experience reserves the right to charge any balance of short

payment due to incurred bank charges. Bank charges are to be borne by the payer.

3.3. Payment DisputeIn the event of any dispute over invoices by the delegate, the total sum claimed by

Asia Experience shall be paid first. After reconciliation between both parties (Asia

Experience and the respective delegate), Asia Experience will issue a Credit Note or

a Supplementary Invoice to effect the adjustments.

3.4. Payment ConditionA specific payment deadline will be advised to the respective delegate upon

confirmation of the tour/packages.

Failure to comply with this condition by the delegate may result in the cancellation of

all reservation without prior notice.

4. CANCELLATIONS, PARTIAL CANCELLATIONS, “NO SHOW” AND AMENDMENTS CHARGES

In the event of a confirmed booking being cancelled by the delegate, a cancellation

charge will be levied.

The amendments must be made in writing from your original email address, quoting

the booking reference number. All amendment requests are subject to reconfirmation

and availability.

5. CANCELLATION PROCEDURES5.1. Cancellation in advance

Asia Experience must be notified in writing of any cancellation by fax or email. A

notice is only considered to have been served provided that an acknowledgement is

sent.

5.2. Cancellation onsiteShould there be any cancellation of the booking done during the conference; the

respective delegate is required to sign a cancellation form to confirm the cancellation

of the service booked.
