What do we have to do?

– We will give you a General theme.

– Each Group 4 team produces a poster.

– Let’s have a look at one!!

1. Planning (over today!)

Brainstorm ideas about the topic

Keep detailed records of the planning

process (include rejects)

Come up with a focused topic relating to

the theme

(topic must allow scope for Biol, Chem, Phys angles)

2. Action

By end of Day 1 present to your mentor

Hard evidence of brainstorming

Your focussed topic title.

An explanation of how will you address the topic through each Science? (Bio, Chem, Phys)

A list of who is allocated what tasks?

A list of dates that your team will meet in Term 1 2015.

A visual plan of what the poster will look like.

Details of subject specific info found during research activities.

A day in the first weeks of Term 1

• 3. Self- reflection will occur.

This involves

• Display of each poster to teachers and students.

• Self reflection exercise completed by each

student. (Note this may be already completed as

directed by your mentor)

• Peer assessment by next years IB students

• Problems?• Work as a Team

• See your mentor

• Use the internet for ideas

• Focus on a specific focussed topic

• The library is a great resource

Remember

Each step will be assessed as

pass or fail.

Teachers/Mentors will base

their assessment on the

evidence that you provide.
