The General Question..

• For our project, we decided to let our community know which local grocery store was cheaper overall. The stores we chose are Butera Market in Lindenhurst and Garden Fresh Market in Round Lake Beach.

Procedure… [Two]

• Lauren took a trip to Butera Market, while Sarah and Emily went to Garden Fresh Market. Everyone collected prices for each of the items listed.

Conclusion

• With all of our results taken into account, we calculated that 70% of the items were cheaper at Butera Market, while 30% of them cost less at Garden Fresh Market. This answered the question in an obvious way. Butera Market has the best prices out of the two stores that we looked at.

Issues?

• Our project went fairly well with the exception that we couldn’t communicate in an efficient way. Lauren couldn’t get a hold of Sarah, so she went to both of the stores to get the prices herself. Meanwhile, Sarah and Emily had started their journey at Garden Fresh Market by the time Lauren was done with Butera and working through Garden Fresh Market. We all met up, somehow, at that store. So, something for the future would be a better means of contact.
