disPute resolution PoliCyGreystoneCollegeprovidesanopportunityforstudentstoresolvedisputesinafairandreasonablemanner.GreystoneCollegeencouragesanopendialogbetweenallstudentsandCollegestaffmembers.Intheeventofadispute,thefollowingdisputeresolutionproceduresshallbefollowed.

proceduresstep 1:Anopendialogbetweenthestudentandtheindividualmostdirectlyinvolvedshalltakeplaceinthehopeoffindingaquickandmutuallyacceptablesolutiontothedispute.Ifunsatisfiedwiththeoutcome,thestudentwillmeetwiththeStudentAdvisortodiscusstheconcernassoonaspossibleandwithinfivedaysoftheincident.

step 3:TheAcademicDirectororAssistantDirectorwillarrangetomeetwiththestudenttodiscusstheconcernassoonaspossibleandwithin1weekofreceivingthestudent’swrittencomplaint.Followingthemeetingwiththestudent,theAcademicDirectororAssistantDirectorwillconductwhateverenquiriesand/orinvestigationsarenecessaryandprovideawrittenresponsetothestudentthatincludesreasonsforthedeterminationonthecomplaint.Thewrittenreasonswillbeprovidednolaterthan15daysfollowingthereceiptofthestudent’swrittencomplaint.

3. KeyaccountabilitiesfortheCo-opDepartmenttoensureasuccessfulworkexperienceplacementforthestudentincludethefollowing:a. Assistthestudentinseekingasupervisedworkexperienceplacementwithanemployer

engagedinalegitimatebusinessoperationinthehomeprovinceoftherespectiveGreystoneCollegecampus.

b. Ensurethattheworkexperienceincludesactivitiesdirectlyrelatedtothelearningobjectivesoftheprogram

Ifyourstudypermitorvisaisdenied,orifyoucancelbeforeyourprogrambegins,GreystoneCollegewillretainthelesserof20%ofthetotalfeespaidor$500and,ifapplicable,the$230accommodationplacementfee.

Ifyoucancelinwritingafteryourprogrambeginsyouwillberefundedthefollowingpercentageoffeespaid:

• Lessthan50%oftheprogramcompleted:Youwillreceivearefundoffeespaid,minus20%ofthetotalfeesfortheprogramuptoamaximumof$500andtheamountpaidfortheportionoftheprogramthathasbeendelivered.

• IfGreystoneCollege'scontractdoesnotincludemandatorytermsrequired

• Ifyourprogramisdiscontinuedbeforeyoucancompleteit

Whereastudentwithdrawsorisdismissedfromtheirprogram,thesamerefundpoliciesapply.

Ifyouareeligibleforarefundundertheconditionsabove,youwillreceivetherefundwithin30daysofGreystoneCollegereceivingwrittennoticeofcancellationorGreystoneCollege’snoticetoyouofdismissal.AllrefundswillbeinCanadianDollars.
