The opening day at the Kindergarten was fun filled as the children adjusted themselves to their daily routine almost immediately. In the Kindergarten the children make new friends, learn new ideas, reach new goals, solve new problems, play new games, and make mistakes while having fun. 8C kick started the academic year of 2016-2017 with their assembly, which was on the 17th of June. The deepest craving of human nature is the need to be appreciated and that’s precisely the reason why 8C chose the topic, ‘Appreciation’. We thought the best way to get the message across to the audience would be through a skit. The story was simple and it focused on a boy who realized the mistake of not appreciating his mother during his childhood. Soon after the skit, students shared various ways through which one can express their appreciation. Ritwik Chakravarty, who had penned down a poem highlighting the topic, got a chance to recite the same. The assembly concluded by screening a PPT with various appreciation quotes. It is a well-known fact that, ‘A person who feels appreciated will always do more than what is expected!’ ALL THAT A KID NEEDS IS, A LITTLE HELP, A LITTLE HOPE AND SOMEBODY WHO BELIEVES IN THEM. Here are the students who have been nominated to be the Prefects for the academic year 2016-17 for the Primary Department. We are really proud of them. Our Principal, Mr. Aloysius D’Mello, and Vice Principal, Mrs. Elizabeth Joseph did the honour of pinning up the badges for our young leaders. We congratulate them all and hope they will strive to prove themselves with a sense of responsibility. "OUR FOOD” the topic in EVS for grade III was given a chance to view the process of making food in the grand new kitchen of GWH. The students were shown and explained about the food being prepared in large quantities and in the most hygienic way. They were amazed to see how their food was being prepared and served on their plates. HAPPY EATING CHESS Shraddha Somanath of grade 3 I got the World Chess Federation title.
