Trinity Buoy WharfTrinity Buoy Wharf• When we visited Trinity Buoy Wharf we were immediately
welcomed by a very Industrial appearing environment.• Factors of the area that added to this feel came from
elements including:
• Shipping containers- both used and adapted into building ( Container City)
• Factory Buildings
• Work Space environment- form follows fucntion
Trinity Buoy Wharf• This location to me appeared
very rusticated, with the a large majority of the area appearing worn and weathered. Which is understandable due to the age of some of these objects.• However this also contrasted
with the newer more modern elements such as Container City, which looked shiny and new in comparison.

Trinity Buoy Wharf• I found Trinity Buoy Wharf and the
surrounding area to have a very creative atmosphere.
• It felt that the urge to express was encouraged as the area featured a variety of art forms including:
• Graffiti• Sculptures• Paintings

GreenwichGreenwich• Greenwich University/ Old Royal Navy
College I found was a complete contrast to Trinity Buoy Wharf
• It featured a much more uniform style with there being a general theme and repetition in form throughout the campus
• The Painted Hall along side the Chapel were both very intricately detailed.
• Although both areas are incredibly beautiful, they didn’t inspire me a lot. I feel that the large scale and immense detail can be overpowering, along with the repeated Baroque style.

Seeing the difference between the two areas, did help me realise my own personal influences. Such as what styles and themes inspired me the most.
DiscoveriesWhile at Greenwich University we walked down to shore of the river, where the tied had gone out. While walking and looking around I found some interesting items.I first noticed the large variety of mussel shells, so I thought it should collect an example. However I also noticed a large section of a sheep's jaw sticking out of the river mud. Not only is this find interesting but it also tell the history and use of the river. As well as the jaw bone I also found another smaller jaw bone section and another broken bone.

Work• Due to the unfortunate bad
weather on the day of the trip, I didn’t gather a large variety of work. I did try however to gather information in different ways such as taking photos and collecting things such as the bones I found of the river.
• The observational drawings I did manage to draw on the day still hold worth to me even though personally I feel they lack detail. They are still a helpful source of infom.tion to refer back to

Idea for a Brief • I would say my findings of Bones have inspired me a
great deal. They made me question the use of the River. This is something I think I will research and focus on a specific time frame (possibly Victorian London).
