Many Thanks……To the wonder-ful volunteers who helped make Mom’s Night Out a success: Laura Bortstein, Deanna
Elstrom, Sawako Gensure, Alisa Greenspan, Tami Haas, Pamela Montgomery, and Laura Seeley. A huge thank you to Lora Griffith who designed a creative flyer and poster for the night’s theme! The event was a lot of fun! For those who missed it, you should strongly consider attending next year; new friend-ships were made, games were played, prizes won, and many moms danced the night away.
Attention Seely Place Parents!
Make every school day Earth Day with “green” school supplies. Order a “green” school supply kit from the PTA in June, and you’ll be able to pick up your kit contain-ing the supplies
required for your child’s grade in early September. This year, we are using a new vendor, Educational Products, Inc., who will provide products made according to principle of environmental sustainability and fair employment. We also expect the kits to cost significantly less than last year’s did.
Look for the order form and flyer in backpacks in June!

Where? Edgemont High School How? Return your completed form to the Science New gym Fair box in your school’s office by May 6
What is the Science Fair? The Edgemont Elementary PTA’s 16th Annual Science Fair is a celebration of science. At the Science Fair, you will be assigned a table space (3’ x 3’) and a display board (about 31” tall and 4’ wide) on which to mount your science project. Your project can demonstrate something scientific that interests you. It can be an experiment, a chart or a model that describes/explains what something is or how it works, or both. An adult listener will come to your table to hear about your project, and you will also be able to see everyone else’s amazing projects. The Science Fair is not a competition, and it is fun! How Do I Start? The school library, the public library, the internet, bookstores, teachers, friends and even parents may offer good ideas for projects. Find something that interests you!! But remember – no explosions, toxic chemicals, fire, or handing out candy at the Science Fair. Can I work with a friend? Yes, you can work with a friend, or you can do a project on your own. If you work together, we suggest you limit your group to three. Please submit one form per group.
