ISSUED: May 11, 2017 The following revisions, additions, and clarifications are hereby made part of the Contract Documents for the above-referenced project and shall be taken into account in the preparation of all Proposals and the execution of all Work. Proposers shall acknowledge receipt of the Addendum in the appropriate space on the Proposal Form in Section 00 42 13. I. SPECIFICATIONS

Ad-4-1 Section 00 42 13 Proposal Form, REPLACE in entirety with attached revised section.

Ad-4-2 Section 00 73 00 EJCDC C-800 Supplementary Conditions, ADD at the end of Article 6- Bonds and Insurance “SC-6.05.A. Delete Paragraph 6.05.A of the General Conditions beginning Builder’s Risk… in its entirety”

Ad-4-3 Section 33 47 13 Concrete Embedment of HDPE Liner, ADD attached new section.

II. DRAWINGS

Ad-4-4 Drawing 08C-05, Detail 1 Perimeter Access Road, LABEL the width of the Aggregate Base Course (Compacted) as 21’ with 7’ to the right of the center line and 14’ to the left of the center line.

Ad-4-5 Drawings 08E-02, 08E-03 and 08E-04, REPLACE with the three attached drawings.

III. CLARIFICATIONS

Ad-4-6 Q1. I am not able to locate item 5 in any addendums to date. Please clarify where this information is provided.

A1. References to addenda item 2 and addenda item 5 the Clarifications section of Addendum #3 were intended to refer to Ad-3-2 and Ad-3-6 respectively in Addendum #3.

Ad-4-7 Q2. Would the county consider adding a bid item for excavating/blasting rock encountered in the leachate forcemain installation because it is a high risk item?

A2. This work is to be performed under the leachate forcemain item which will remain a lump sum item.

Ad-4-8 Q3. The schedule is extremely tight, could you add an additional 60 days?

A3. The work shall be completed and ready for final payment within 245 days from the notice to proceed.

Ad-4-9 Q4. What is the width of the perimeter access road aggregate and what item are we to include this cost.

A4. See Drawings section of this addendum. This work shall be paid for under lump sum item 24 (All Other Work).

Ad-4-10 Q5. Please clarify where the previous grading contractor finishes their excavation as it relates to the proposed subgrade. Please confirm that all excavation to reach the existing conditions depicted will be completed by others.

A5. The current grading contractor is leaving ~100,000 cubic yards of material in place above the proposed subgrade as indicated by the shading on drawing 08C-02 and associated note (#7).

Ad-4-11 Q6. Is the haul route to stockpile #4 via existing roads and are they any limitations on equipment allowed on this route?

A6. The haul route from the excavation to stockpile # 4 is via the existing roads until you get to the compost area at which point a new road must be constructed as indicated on Drawing 08C-09. There is no limitation on the equipment allowed, however there will be other vehicles using the same roads. The contractor is not allowed to install a new roadway across the stream to reach stockpile #4.

Ad-4-12 Q7. If the County is confident that the clay stockpile will meet the required specifications, is the Borrow Source Characterization Study (BSCS) referenced in 31 38 10 still required?

A7. The BSCS is required to prove or disprove the adequacy of the clay stockpile.

Ad-4-13 Q8. Under Section 6.05 A. Builder’s Risk states that the contractor shall purchase and maintain Builder’s Risk Insurance. Can you verify if this is indeed a requirement?

A8. This is not required, see above.
