Resource efficiency service sector is essential for wide adoption of sustainable production practices in SMEs. There are specific barriers in Asian that need to be addressed. Challenges Results: Commercial sales of RE packages to over 750 SMEs. Urban SMEs RE services and their supply chain Finance sector Target group Smart support for SMEs; Innovation packages; Marketing support for RE solution providers; Strengthening the supply chain. Actions 8 Development fund and donor agency programmes provide free access to certain techniques/products, which un-intentionally spoil the market. Lack of marketing capacity and culture among RE technique/product suppliers. Need to build trust - culture of paying for equipment, not for services. Business associations can play a role in providing RE service where RE services are not developed yet.
