Due to the decline in the value of the Pound against the Euro weset ourselves the goal of running three 72 hole tournaments eachover 4 days in Spain with 4 nights dinner, bed & breakfast forless than £500. This price includes the car hire.

WEEKEND EVENTSTo make things even easier we wanted these events to be overthe weekend. Fly to Spain on a Thursday, play golf on Friday,Saturday, Sunday and early Monday and fly home on Mondayevening. By flying on Thursdays and Monday we get thecheapest flights.

EXTRA NIGHTS AND EXTRA GOLFIf 4 nights is a bit too short for you we have pared the cost ofextra nights to the bone. We will be running two trips to Thailandin 2010. The first is only to Hua HInfor New Year, the second will be toPhuket for 7 nights then to Hua Hin for9 nights. Our private charter will take usfrom Phuket to Hua Hin as usual. Weare then just 5 minutes from the DusitThani Hua Hin Resort where we willspend the remaining 9 nights on thebeach. All the main tournament roundswill be in Hua Hin.

THAILAND A LA CARTEThis will enable you to pick and mix your trip. Ifyou fancy a longer break you can start onThailand 1 at New Year and then go to Phuketfor as many nights as you wish. Or you couldarrive early in Phuket and have a few extranights before Thailand 2 or you might wish tojust play the tournament in Hua Hin and then flyon down to Saigon and play in the tournamentthere. In other words the trips comprise 4modules (Hua Hin 1, Phuket, Hua Hin 2 andSouth Vietnam) and you can take as many or asfew as you like.Because so many people wil l wish to dodifferent things international flights are notincluded. This will enable you to book your ownor contact us to find out the many alternativeways of getting to Bangkok. Once in BKK wewill organise your flight to Phuket which isincluded. In Phuket we stay at the Naithonburi Resortright on the wonderfully secluded Naithonbeach. There are just a few sea food restaurantsthere where you can eat watching the sun setover the Andaman Sea; all a far cry from anEnglish winter. It is about 40 mins ride in ourmini vans to Patong where the nightl ife islegendary. Not far away is Blue Canyon Country Club withits two wonderful courses, the Lakes and theCanyon. The Canyon being the home of theJohnny Walker Classic and one of our top 5courses in the world. We play the Lakes twiceand Canyon once. Beware that carts are notallowed on the Canyon course.Hua Hin is on the beach and we are returning tothe luxury Dusit Thani Hua Hin which hasbecome our home for the second half of theThailand tour. We again provide a regular freeshuttle into town for the shopping, seafoodrestaurants and nightlife. Every year the town

becomes more cosmopolitan though theatmosphere is still much more refined than inPatong. In the bars you can hear yourself speakand the old courtesies prevail. Although the sea does not have the azure blueof Phuket, Hua Hin is better in every otherrespect. If you have never played golf inThailand you are in for a treat. All you do is hitthe ball, your little caddy does the rest and willeven mop your brow while you have a drinkbetween holes. In Hua Hin we will be playingBlack Mountain, Banyan and Springfield. Thecourses are fantastic and the price of everythingis so cheap that you hardly spend once you arethere. Of course if you want more golf it is easyto arrange and excellent value.After Thailand Two we will be heading off toSaigon and South Vietnam for 15 nights. If youfly Thai Airways the additional cost of flying onto Saigon is only £100 or so. Why not take amonth in the Far East. Once you are there it isreally excellent value.

HOTELSPhuket – Naithonburi Resort is a 4 star hotelset back just 50 yards from the beautiful NaiThon Beach. All large rooms have balconies,TV’s, telephone, air con and separate bath andshowers. If you want a view onto the huge poolthere is a small supplement. With just 120rooms it is a friendly small hotel. GOLFBlue Canyon is right up there in the world’s Top100 courses. A superb layout in an old coppermine that makes full use of the man made lakesand ravines. A spectacular challenge. Carts arenot allowed and if you are unable to walk wewill arrange another round on the Lakes.

Blue Canyon - Lakes is only 9 years old but youwould never guess it. Some find it tougher thanthe Canyon as the fairways are a l itt le lessgenerous and the water is more intrusive butnevertheless it is a fabulous golf course.

Banyan is Hua Hin’s newest course has beendesigned by one of Thailand's best coursedesign companies that will offer one of the bestchallenges in Hua Hin with far reachingspectacular views.

Back by popular request is our Vietnamtour. Hugely successful in Oct 2007, butpossibly the wrong season as it wasdamp in Dalat, we feel that January isthe perfect time to visit for both climateand course condition.

It is over 30 years since the last Huey took offfrom the roof of the American embassy with allthose harrowing scenes of desperate peopletrying to get aboard. Since then Vietnamdisappeared behind a bamboo curtain under astrict Maoist regime. But just like China theyhave begun to emerge and little by little theideology is being discarded.

A sure sign that there will be no turning backfrom a capitalist path is the proliferation of golfcourses. So we have put together a tour ofSouth Vietnam that takes in the best of themwhilst giving you a view of one of the lastbastions of communism in the world.

We start the tour with 5 nights in Saigon at thesumptuous Park Hyatt Hotel where we will playboth courses at Vietnam CC. We will visit thefamous Cu Chi tunnels where the Viet Cong hidunderground emerging to deliver devastatingattacks only to disappear as quickly. On the FreeDay you can take a trip down the Saigon Riverto Vung Tao and have lunch on the beach orplay golf there or just go shopping.

We then fly to the beautiful mountain city ofDalat for five nights. The cool climate will be awelcome relief from Saigon and the Sofitel awelcoming host. The golf course is superb as arethe restaurants. The market town is full ofcolour and gives a real insight to a cityuntouched by war.

From there we travel down to the coast at PhanThiet. This Nick Faldo links course is right nextto the beach at our Hotel. A tough course forthe final 2 rounds but a massage right after willmake you quickly forget. Just 15 mins away isthe beach resort of Mui Ne with its dozens oflittle resort hotels and bars and restaurants. Wewill have a nightly shuttle there so you can runthrough the cocktail card for a tenner and notworry about the drive home.

Vietnam is just a couple of hundred miles fromThailand but it might be on another continent.The food is superb and the people very friendlybut 30 years of communism have left thembehind, and there is a tremendous desire tocatch up. The country still sports the red flagseverywhere and the scars of the old communistsmoke stack industries are everywhere. This is afascinating insight to a fast disappearing world.In a few years Vietnam will resemble any otheroriental country, but right now it is al lmotorcycles, conical hats and red flags. Beprepared to have your eyes widened.

HOTELSPark Hyatt Saigon is a luxury 5* hotel right inthe middle of District 1. Superbly appointedrooms and a fabulous spa with outdoor pooland roof garden make this an oasis in a bustlingcity. It boasts 2 of Saigon’s best restaurants anda sumptuous bar all within walking distance ofthe shops, restaurants and the sights. The besthotel in Saigon will be tough to leave.

Sofitel, Dalat is the original hotel built by theFrench at the turn of the century for thecolonialists to get away from the heat of Saigon.Very little has been changed and the rooms arewonderful museum pieces to a bygone age. Acomplete contrast to the Hyatt but you wouldn’tmiss it for the world.

Novotel, Phan Thiet is a 4 star hotel on thebeach with the golf course behind. We haveonly sea view rooms here and they are large andwell appointed. The hotel has all the facilitiesone would expect in a beach hotel and you fallout of bed onto the golf course. A great placeto unwind at the end of our stay.

GOLF COURSESVietnam GCC is a 36 hole American style set upwith one long course with wide fairways andlarge fearsome greens. The other course is acomplete contrast with narrow fairways anddelicate approaches to forgiving greens.2 rounds here.

Dalat is my favourite course in the South. Inbeautiful undulating parkland the numerouslakes are positioned to ensure that the longestdrivers will have to hit to narrow fairways if theywant a short iron in. Otherwise play safe andhit a longer approach shot. A great test foreveryone.

Ocean Dunes at Phan Thiet is a Nick Faldo linkscourse. If the wind blows it can be a monster.No question of playing from the back tees herewhere the course record is even par. From theforward tees it is very playable but everythinghinges on your approach shots. A l itt le bitwayward and a watery grave awaits. 3 roundshere.

The Western Cape has always been bestknown for its vineyards and rugbyplayers, but in recent years they have alsobeen building some superb golf courses.

Cape Town, built around Table Mountain, hasso much to offer. The V&A Waterfrontdevelopment is a must visit spot as is therevolving cable car ride up the mountain. Adrive down the coast to Chapman’s Peak andthen across the peninsula to Simonstown to seethe penguins is memorable. From our base atThe Vineyard in Newlands we can easily drivedown to Cape Point or visit the KirstenboschGardens. If you don’t want to venture far fromthe hotel in the evening there are severalexcellent restaurants 3 mins walk away, not tomention the hotel’s two superb restaurants.

From there we must once again visit Arabellanear Hermanus. There are no whales at thistime of year but the golf course is one of SA’sfinest and the hotel spa will put you in theperfect frame of mind for the journey home.

You can fly non stop from Heathrow to CapeTown with BA, Virgin or SAA or from MAN,BHX, LGW via Frankfurt, Paris or Dubai. Wepick up our hire cars on arrival.

Since our visit to Garden Route in 2003things have moved on apace down there.There is now a new Golf Hotel atSimola set high on the hills overlookingtheir own superb Jack Nicklaus courseand on out to sea and the Knysna Heads.

In addition to this there is a new Ernie Els courseat Oubaai, near George and for those who liketheir golf to be a challenge there are the 2 newcourses at Pinnacle Point and Pezula. These lasttwo will only be optional on the tour.

On 27th July we embark River Cloud II atVilshofen, a short drive away, and cruise toPassau. The following morning is spentsightseeing in the picturesque “City of ThreeRivers”. We then slip our moorings at 1pm andcruise to Melk arriving in the early hours. Aftera morning there we cruise on again arriving inKrem after lunch with a chance to see thefalconry at Regensburg Castle.

We awake on the morning of 30 July atKorneuberg where we disembark and play golfat Schloss Schonborn, one of Austria’s top

courses, in the heart of the wine region. Whilstwe are on the course the boat will move ontoVienna where we will pick it up in the afternoon.Next morning we play Round 3 at Colony GolfClub just outside Vienna. The afternoon &evening is at leisure in Vienna where there willbe the chance to take in a concert. The boat sails in the early hours to Bratislava thecapital of Slovakia where the Hungarian kingswere crowned in the cathedral. After lunch wesail to Budapest arriving around midnight.We have a full day in the city with an optionalguided tour and after a superb Captain’s farewelldinner and a good night’s rest we disembark andhead for the Sofitel for our final 2 nights withour last round at Pannonia.This will be a magnificent way of seeing themighty Danube and some of Europe’s mostbeautiful cities, not to mention 5 superb golfcourses.

Move up the coast to Selborne Country Club; a beautiful turn of thecentury manor house and a superb traditional parkland course. Movingnorth we avoid Durban completely and take the ring road to ZimbaliLodge.

Another small luxurious hotel set in the jungle with wild bok roaming thegrounds. Peter Matkovic designed the course which plunges down to theOcean and back. From Zimbali it is only a short drive to Prince’s Grantanother magnificent course.

PROVISION OF YOUR HOLIDAYWe will arrange for the provision of all parts ofthe inclusive holiday as confirmed to you. Thereis no holiday booked until you have received aconfirmation invoice. An invoice will normallyonly be sent after a deposit is received. Thisinvoice acts as our confirmation of the bookingconditions and your holiday is then secured. Allholidays are subject to availability.

PRICE GUARANTEEThe prices for Greencard Collection Holidaysquoted in the brochure are guide prices only.Greencard reserves the right to modify priceswithout prior notice. However the price quoted onthe confirmation invoice is the price you will pay.The price for all quotations is guaranteed for 30days. On Greencard Tour events we are obligedto print a fixed price up to 14 months in advanceof a trip. In that time many factors can change,especially exchange rates. In the unlikely eventthat it became necessary to alter the price of aninvoiced trip you will be offered the chance of acancellation with full refund of all monies paidinc. flights even if you have bought them yourself,upon proof of payment. We charge 1.5% on allcredit card transactions over £200.

INSURANCEGreencard can provide you with comprehensivetravel insurance cover, including annual cover. Ifyou decide not to take our insurance weunderstand that you have your own adequatecover for personal accident, medical expensesand 3rd party insurance. Greencard will not beresponsible should you travel without insurance.

YOUR COMMITMENT TO US

The full amount of the holiday must be paid by thedue date on the invoice. Failure to do so mayresult in the holiday being cancelled andcancellation charges outlined below would beeffective.

CHANGING YOUR HOLIDAYIf you wish to make changes to your holiday youmust be prepared to pay the additional costs, ifany, involved. Greencard will at all timesendeavour to accommodate your requests atminimum cost. After changes have been made anew invoice will be issued.

CANCELLING YOUR HOLIDAYIf you need to cancel your holiday you must notifyGreencard in writing or by fax. The cancellationdate will be the date on which Greencard receiveswritten notification. The following cancellationcharges will apply.

COMPLAINTSIf you encounter a problem with an aspect of yourholiday you must notify the provider (hotel, hirecar co, golf course etc) immediately to enable himto rectify the problem. If you are unable to obtainsatisfaction you must notify Greencard by fax orphone. If in spite of our best efforts we wereunable to resolve the problem you must notify us

in writing within 28 days of your return. Wecannot accept responsibility if you fail to followthis simple procedure.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

CHANGES TO YOUR HOLIDAYIf we make a significant change to your holiday(change of airport to a less convenient one,change of hotel, change of scheduled departuretime by more than 9 hours, change of more than2 golf courses) you will be notified as soon as weare aware. Should you wish to cancel at thatstage there would be a 100% refund.

Minor changes such as tee times, small departuretime changes, twin instead of double room etc.,must be considered in the context of the overallholiday and the number of different suppliersupon whom Greencard is dependent in order toprovide a golfing holiday.

Greencard will at all times endeavour to providethe holiday as promised in the brochure.

IF WE CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAYThere will be a 100% refund of all monies paid.If the cancellation takes place within 42 days ofdeparture, Greencard will undertake to provide anacceptable alternative. Should we fail in thisendeavour we will provide compensation up to amaximum of £100 per person or 15% of the totalholiday cost whichever is the lower.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR HOLIDAYGreencard will endeavour to provide the holidayas booked. Should our agents, suppliers, or wefail to provide the promised service thenGreencard accepts overall responsibility providedthat the complaint procedure above has beenfollowed. Exceptions are damage to personalpossessions in transit and late arrival at ports,airports or golf courses. Also when antisocialbehaviour precludes our agent from wishing toprovide a service (ie for being drunk or abusive).

We accept responsibility for death, bodily harm orillness as a result of failing to perform any part ofour contract. The exceptions being where theclient failed to take adequate travel insurancecover as described in our travel policy.

ARBITRATIONShould we fail to resolve amicably any disputearising from this contract you may take the caseto arbitration. This is an inexpensive procedureprovided by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

DELAYSGreencard cannot accept responsibility for delaysand associated costs of delay by an airline orferry company. The travel insurance policyprovides compensation for significant delays andcurtailment.

ACCOMMODATIONWhile we endeavour to provide the very best forour clients we cannot be held responsible for apoor view, twin beds instead of double, unlesssuch request has been made at the time ofbooking and made clear that it is a condition ofbooking. Please also bear in mind that sportsfacilities offered by hotels may not always beavailable due to previous bookings ormaintenance.

CAR HIREAll car hire provided by Greencard is on conditionthat the driver is over 24 years old, has a clean,internationally recognised, driving licence andagrees to return the car to the agreed drop-offpoint. Petrol costs are not included. Some localtaxes may also not be included although in theUSA we include, LDW, LIS, Airport and StateTaxes.

GOLF ARRANGEMENTSWe do not invoice a holiday until your tee timeshave been reserved to your satisfaction. Thesewill be confirmed on the invoice. No tee timeswill be reserved until deposits have been paid.Should tee times and courses change we willendeavour to ensure your satisfaction but it mustbe understood that in some cases courses wouldbe closed at short notice. Should more than 2 ofyour courses be changed we would consider thata major change to your holiday and you would beoffered a chance to cancel without loss.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCEThe baggage allowance on most flights is 20kgs.Please see your flight ticket. This includes golfequipment. Whereas most of our carriers willtake a light golf bag free of charge, it is entirely attheir discretion if your total weight exceeds20kgs. Excess baggage charges can beexpensive.

FINANCIAL SECURITYThe air holidays and flights in this brochure areATOL protected since we hold an Air TravelOrganisers Licence granted by the Civil AviationAuthority. In the unlikely event of our insolvencythe CAA will ensure that you are not strandedabroad and will arrange the refund of any moneyyou have paid to us paid in an advance booking.The ATOL licence does not cover any holidaythat does not involve air travel.
