The restroom is often the first port of call for cosmopolitan crowds streaming in
through these global gateways. With a spread of lush and impeccably spotless
enclaves we have created to welcome these high-fliers, while accentuating our
niche of resource efficiency, Rigel has made the management of airport restrooms
as sleek, sustainable and long-lasting as the first impressions they receive.

As one of the world’s busiest airports, this aviation hub can easily be mistaken as the main culprit responsible for
heavy carbon emissions, but the opposite is true – each year, Changi Airport chalks up estimated energy savings of
2,671,948kWh and water savings of 96,141m3 – achievements made possible by various partners that are committed
to green technology, including Rigel. With our resource-efficient restroom systems playing a pivotal role in helping the
airport’s Terminal 3 achieve the Green Mark Gold Award in 2010, conferred by Singapore’s Building and Construction
Authority (BCA), Rigel has shown that in the journey towards greater sustainability, the sky is truly the limit.

SOLARIS ONE-NORTH BUSINESS PARK, SINGAPORE
Located in the research and business park in central Singapore’s one-north community, Solaris brings together
the latest innovations in information communication, media, physical science and engineering in a two-tower
building. Incorporating state-of-the-art engineering systems in the functionalities of the building, it has achieved
overall energy conservation of more than 36%, and Rigel’s green restroom technologies, synergised with Solaris’
acclaimed eco-cell and 400m3 rainwater recycling tank, have certainly contributed to this sustainability scorecard.
It is no wonder this bright spark in the green economy has been accorded the highest level of recognition – the
BCA Green Mark Platinum Award 2010.
Like how every drop makes an ocean, the architectural design of this building symbolises the intertwining of individual bamboo stems to
form a strong and towering structure that is able to withstand the test of time. And this is just a prologue to Tokio Marine’s inner spirit of
sustainability. Through the extensive use of Rigel’s green restroom sensor systems that help users conserve valuable resources each time
they answer nature’s call, this renowned Japanese corporation has enjoyed accumulated annual water and energy savings of 5,400m³
and 830,000 kWhrs respectively. Our client’s spirit to make everyday resource efficiency go a long way has been given the thumbs-up
when they were conferred the BCA Green Mark Gold Plus Award in 2007.

One of the trendy skyscrapers redefining the skyline at Singapore’s downtown financial hub of Marina Bay, Asia Square Tower
1 has certainly lived up to its name as a trailblazer in every sense of the word. Besides entering the prestigious league of Green
Mark Platinum Award winners as accredited by BCA in 2008, it is also one of the first buildings in Singapore to be awarded the
LEED-CS (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Core & Shell) platinum pre-certification by the United States Green
Building Council. And with Rigel’s resource-efficient restroom systems helping our client achieve estimated annual energy
and water savings of 5,840,460KWh and 40,982m3 respectively, we are certainly proud to have played our part in making this
towering landmark one of the greenest buildings in Asia.

Featuring extensive green roofs to lower ambient temperature and internal heating, as well as other eco-friendly materials
and components, this four-storey office building has managed to save a significant amount of water, energy and operation
cost, shattering the myth that skyscrapers are the only distinguishable green buildings that get to benefit from sustainable
management. As Scotts Spazio was eventually conferred the BCA Green Mark Gold Award in 2010, there is comfort in the
knowledge that Rigel’s restroom systems, which are accredited with high ratings under the Public Utilities Board’s Water
Efficiency Labelling Scheme (WELS), have helped to shape our client’s achievement.

From implementing integrated office automation systems to managing restrooms seamlessly with the use of Rigel’s sensor flush
valves that reduce energy consumption to the minimum, this eco-intelligent building is every bit deserving of the array of BCA
awards it has received, including Energy Efficient Building Award 2005 and Green Mark Gold Award 2007. Through consistent
efforts in resource conservation, like making best use of valuable natural resources in the restrooms every day, HDB has also
become the first public sector agency to win the top accolade conferred by BCA – the Green Mark Champion Award 2011.
By setting a good example in resourceful living and management, HDB Hub has been enjoying annual energy savings of S$2.8
million, and this is how Rigel’s green restroom technology makes perfect economic sense too.

With its close proximity to world-class research hubs such as Solaris, Fusionopolis and the National University of Singapore, all
of which carry the flag of green buildings, thanks to Rigel, featuring sustainable features has become a natural progression
for The Rochester. This is where Rigel is glad to have contributed our expertise in shaping more resource-efficient restrooms for
this building which also comes equipped with motion sensors in public toilets and at staircases for greater energy efficiency.
As the cumulative efforts eventually made this building the proud recipient of the BCA Green Mark Gold Award in 2008, the
residents, most of whom are professionals pioneering the latest inventions for the green economy in Singapore’s Silicon Valley
nearby, get to enjoy a smooth transition into the world of resourceful living even after a challenging work day.

Spreading our expertise in shaping LOHAS enclaves beyond the shores of Singapore, Rigel has made waves in the successful
development of the first green town across the causeway. As the first project in Malaysia to be awarded the BCA Green
Mark Gold (Provisional) Award, Ken Rimba is equipped with various features to ensure optimisation of valuable natural
resources, such as leveraging on wind direction for thorough ventilation, the use of natural lighting, recycling of rainwater for
lawn irrigation and, of course, greater water efficiency in the most frequented enclaves – the restrooms. With Rigel’s green
restroom features that also yield maximum comfort and cleanliness, homeowners get to answer nature’s call with style.

As the largest suburban shopping mall in north-eastern Singapore, nex naturally needs to maintain sustainability in all aspects of
its operations to cater to incessant streams of shopping and dining crowds. This is where Rigel’s seamless restroom technology,
which optimises water and energy usage, can fit the exacting demands of building management to a T. Coupled with other
water-efficient features, such as smart irrigation systems utilising rain sensors, irrigation valves and thick-walled dripper line, nex has
managed to achieve the BCA Green Mark Gold Award in 2010, proving yet again Rigel’s success in ushering in the next phase of
sustainable restroom management for mega malls.

Truly a lush oasis on the cityscape, City Square Mall stands out as the best green building project completed by Rigel. Not only
does it inspire resourceful living, it engages shoppers with eco-learning experiences, replete with refreshing insights like how
Rigel’s green restroom systems, featuring sanitary ware accredited with excellent WELS ratings, have played a part in helping the
mall save more than 20,000m3 of water each year – enough precious natural resources to fill 10 Olympic-size swimming pools.
As Singapore’s very first eco-mall achieved the prestigious BCA Green Mark Platinum Award in 2007 and the FuturArc Green
Leadership Award 2011 for Commercial Architecture, Rigel is proud to have contributed to our client’s watershed successes in
the green retail sector.

A familiar sight for shoppers straddling both sides of the causeway, this well-established shopping centre in Singapore’s northern
enclave of Woodlands has recently gone through a 72-million-dollars facelift to unveil a greener direction, from embracing
energy efficiency in all aspects of building management to the recycling of air-conditioning condensates for irrigation and
the flushing of toilets. With such targeted measures to reduce its carbon imprint and Rigel’s resource-efficient, sleek restroom
technology giving the management a push in the right direction, it is no wonder Causeway Point has realised its highest aim of
attaining the BCA Green Mark Platinum Award in 2010.

After the school’s new annex was conferred the BCA Green Mark Gold Award in 2011, its new Campus Development project,

It is not often that we find a partner who shares our ideals in sustainable building management and walks the talk by being a
member of Singapore Green Building Council. So besides greening up the interim campus of Singapore University of Technology
and Design with our resource-efficient restroom technology, Rigel has also heeded the call of our corporate social responsibility
by pledging to sponsor a scholarship programme in the field of Design and Architectural Engineering for SUTD over the next five
to ten years. We are confident that our efforts will pave the way for a greener permanent campus to be unveiled, both in terms
of the physical landscape, which will also feature green roofs, natural ventilation and solar design, as well as the intellectual
landscape, which is set to be the perfect cradle to groom budding professionals for the green economy of the future.

Weaving eco-friendly design elements into the building structure, instead of just rote teaching, has enabled this international
school to show its students, aged between 4 to 18, what it means by going green from a young age. Indeed, United World
College of South East Asia (UWCSEA) has proven itself to be a good role model for green, intelligent schools. From the use of
Rigel’s water-efficient sanitary fittings certified with excellent WELS ratings to the real-time monitoring of unusual patterns in
water usage through sub-meters linked to a Building Management System, the physical landscape has been transformed into
a hands-on green platform to keep young minds engaged and inspired. Just like how Rigel strives to educate consumers about
resourceful living, UWCSEA has shown unwavering commitment in providing a holistic, eco-sensible education, making it every bit
deserving of the most prestigious accolade it has received – the BCA Green Mark Platinum Award 2009.

As a company upholding green innovation and intelligent technology,
Rigel is heartened to have found a client who shares our vision of shaping
Singapore into an inventive and innovative R&D hub synergising the
latest trends in various fields from a multi-disciplinary perspective. With this
common ethos, Rigel’s ties with CREATE have evolved into something more
than the usual client-vendor relationship; we have become almost strategic
partners working together to fulfil the blueprint of a green economy. By
adopting Rigel’s principle of resource efficiency in the restrooms, among
other sustainable initiatives, CREATE has managed to save about 9,000,000
