Design Intent 2Overview

This document is a communication device for prospective bidders to understand the form and function of

elements that constitute exterior sign elements. It includes scaled drawings, specifications and a materials

& finishes schedule for the preparation of bids to fabricate and install signage for the Green River, WY

wayfinding program.

This document represents Mayfield Creative’s Design Intent and shall not be used as shop drawings.

Access to the project website will be given to the contracted sign vendor to download production art and

template files for use in fabrication.

design concepts, production art, written content and

aesthetic format contained in this document are the

legal property of MC. The recipient acknowledges

that this material is proprietary and agrees not to

use or disclose this material, or to make copies or

use parts thereof, without the written consent of MC,

as long as the material remains confidential and

property known only by MC. These drawings shall

not be used as shop drawings, rather as Design

Intent only. All dimensions, engineering compliance

and site conditions shall be verified by the contracted

fabricator/installer. MC shall be notified of any and

all discrepancies, variations or substitutions from

these documents. Shop drawings, specification

details and samples shall be submitted to MC for

approval prior to proceeding with fabrication. All final

sign messages and document specifications shall

be proofread by the client and legal requirements

checked by their legal counsel.

Production artwork, graphics, design concepts and

formulas shall be used solely for the execution of the

project represented in this document. They may not

be used in the course of future projects, resold or

reconstituted without written consent of MC.

It is the Fabricator’s responsibility to match all colors, finishes and materials specifiedin this document.

Please note that visual accuracy of the colors and finishes represented in this document may not be consistent with actual manufacturer’s swatches and samples due to limitations of color printing technology.

The Fabricator is required to appropriateactual color swatches and material samples from the manufacturer.

If a substitute or deviation is recommended by the Fabricator, the recommendation shall be proposed in writing with a demonstration of equal or better value for consideration by the Designer.

1. Exterior grade high performance opaque vinyl.

2. Exterior grade reflective vinyl.

3. Finished with Matthews Paint or approved equal.

4. Galvanized rain cap.

5. 1/8” aluminum sheet.

6. Aluminum z-angle bar brackets fill weld to back of sign panel and thru bolt to sign post.

7. 4”Ø galvanized steel post. Fabricator to engineer wall thickness.

8. Tamper-proof thru-bolts, lock washers and nuts.

9. FHWA-approved Transpo PoleSafe® breakaway supports to be attached to J-bolts below and base flange above (or approved equal). Coupling to be engineered and installed according to manufacturer’s specifications.

10. 3000 psi concrete foundation cylinder. Fabricator to engineer dimensions.

11. Galvanized “J” anchor bolts.

12. Panel clearance must be raised to 7’-0” if the sign is placed within a pedestrian access area.

NOTE:Fabricator is responsible for all structural engineering for maximum wind load and foundation compliance.
