•What’s the concept of the linking between a refrigerator and dishwasher?

•It’s a heat recovery system that uses the heat from the compressor and condenser of a refrigerator to pre-heat

•partly the water for the dishwasher cleaning cycle to allow energy saving.

•The “GK” dishwasher model is directly connected to a water reservoir coil at the

condenser side of the Built-In refrigerator.

•The water supply for the dishwasher will come from the water tap, through the water

reservoir coil at the refrigerator side and than to the dishwasher water inlet connection.

•The savings are based on a 4 person household which use a 6TH SENSE 7 liters

dishwasher with Energy class A++ by using the ECO 50 C program. This program use

in the main cleaning cycle 3,2 liters fresh water.

•The capacity of the water reservoir coil from the refrigerator is 1,52 liters.

•The fresh water from the water tap will be pre-heated to a 15 C higher water

temperature than coming directly from the water tap. The time for the dishwasher

heater to increase the water temperature is for 2 C / 1 minute (including dish load)**.

•Therefore the heating time saving of the dishwasher will be 7,5 minutes, which

•is ~ 10% less energy consumption.

** The difference between integrated and inline heater is very small. The integrated is a little bit better 0,1-0,2C°/min.
