Strengths
New York Times - Well• There is a wide variety of content available: body, mind,
food fitness, love, family, doctors, voices and pets.• It’s easy to interact within the site; a user can easily ask
Well a question or respond to an existing thread. • The layout utilizes white space making the page easy on
the eyes; the front page isn’t too cluttered even though there is a lot of content.
Weaknesses
Greatist• You have to be a member of the blog to post comments or
to respond to posts in any way. • On some pages, the site seems to lack content. Some pages
have too much white space. Although, they did just update the site.
• Greatist needs more user-generated content.

New York Times - Well• Just like the home page of the NY Times, there are
advertisements that take away from the simplicity of the layout.
• The latest stories, where the majority of the content is accessed, is too far down the page.
• All of the stories are grouped together; this makes it difficult to find specific stories.

Greatist• Now that Greatist has grown, they should expand to cities
other than New York. • They have an opportunity to utilize free labor if they
allotted more space for pieces written by Greatist readers across the nation.
• They should make it easier for readers to interact; there could be polls, questions, or even what content readers are enjoying most.

New York Times - Well• The Well blog has an opportunity to focus their efforts.
There is a lot of content which is overwhelming is someone just wants to peruse the site.
• Well should place the latest stories right alongside the top stories so users can explore all their content easier.
• Their advertisements should be more focused in health and lifestyle.
Threats
vs.• Well and Greatist both have very similar content. Nowadays there
are so many sites exploring health and fitness, both these sties need to maneuver through the noise.
• They need to create their own content and involve the readers as much as possible. If the users feel that they are helping contribute to the site, they are more likely to come back.
• Both sites need to explore new trends in health and fitness and keep their blogs updated.
