The stand of Government of India (of not holding talks with separatist) is extreme- ly dangerous for future of Kashmir,” Abdullah, who is MP from Srinagar, told party leaders and workers at NC headquarter here. On Friday the Govern- ment of India made it clear before the Supreme Court that it would come to nego- tiating table only if the “rec- ognized parties” participate in the dialogue on Kashmir, and not the separatist ele- ments. Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi made the submissions before a bench, comprising Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justices D Y Chandrachud and S K Kaul. “After her (recent) meet- ing with Prime Minister, the Chief Minister Mehboo- ba Mufti stressed upon the need for resuming dialogue calming that she would give up chair if talks are not held. But just two days later, her alliance partner rejected to hold talks with the separat- ists, in the Supreme Court. While Bhat survived, his colleague, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat died in the incident that shook the valley after newspapers and social media car- ried the horrific image of Mushtaq dangling dead from the electric pole at the Budshah Bridge in March this year. Zahoor’s right leg has been amputated and skin has been grafted onto his left leg that suffered seri- ous burn injuries. His left hand has been burnt and partially paralyzed. He is currently being treated at the Bone and Joint Hos- pital for the injuries suf- fered during the fall from the pole.
