THE PURPOSE

The local umw organization of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is:

•To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.

•To develop a creative supportive fellowship.

•To expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church

•Prepare minutes of meetings and send to team

•Give notice of Executive meetings

The local UMW secretary shall:

•Be custodian of legal papers and official records

The local UMWSecretary shall:

•Sign with the president legal papers, making certain of proper date.

Keep an accurate up-to-date roll of membership

Send a list of elected leaders of the local UMW to district secretary upon election,

including:

•Local UMW, name, position

•addresses with zip codes,

•telephone numbers,

•email addresses
