This project has one main objective, to make people realize that they don’t have that much time left in school and they should enjoy the time left. When students see it, they should realize that time goes by very quickly. Our main audience is High School students, since they can remember with nostalgia the years they have been in school. Our project was based upon cre-ating awareness about the ani-mal species that are in danger of extinction. We did this by gener-ating different products such as posters, post cards, and shirts. We also created a system where you can “adopt” an animal by donating money to save its life, this system is also intended for people to give aid for the protec-tion, so we not only raised aware-

ness, we also acted. We want-ed to do this because people don’t realize the problematic situation of these animals. The posters have the logo, the kiss symbol, and the motto the poster wants to represent. We also did a website where peo-ple can explore to more depth the animal extinction. You can access this website by the QR code printed in the shirt.

Many of us probably know of the old saying, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” However, we also all know that society never lets us embrace our flaws. Females in particular have historically faced pressure to conform to a partic-ular standard of beauty. The goal to become “beautiful” has now become such a problem in our society that females have gone to extreme measures to reach this perfection. Even the media has

now taken actions to eradicate the obsession with beauty, but it’s not as convincing when they use a stereotypically beautiful celebrity advocating it. Not a sin-gle person can be the definition of beauty. To aim for beauty by trying to look like someone else will defeat the whole purpose of beauty. Everyone is different and embracing these differences is what makes us beautiful.

The purpose of my project was to support informal businesses in the streets of our city throughout the concept of design and pho-tography. In my project I wanted to break the stereotypes and sto-ries told by the news and the me-dia about these kind of people, by provoking a sense of happiness on the images used. Since this project has a lot to do with what I’m doing on my SIS, I had start-ed this process before, by making some research about the topic, and then getting to interview the people about their jobs. When comparing both pieces of infor-mation, I got to the conclusion that within that misery there’s al-ways that kind of happiness that makes one escape from the sad reality of life.

Originally my project was a box, inside a box, inside another box that symbolized how when peo-ple go into drugs they keep sink-ing and sinking until there is no turning back. On each side of the boxes there would be infor-mation and images about drugs, but since I couldn’t find the kind of information I was looking for, I had to edit my project a little bit. Although the message remained the same, the way of transmis-sion was changed. Instead of a set of boxes, my flyer symboliz-es the same thing as the box but through different means. On the first page there is only warning signs instructing you not to go ahead. The result is the represen-tation of to where drugs really lead too.

The purpose of this project is quite simple. Basically, there are many teenagers that we care for that doesn’t see the risks in smok-ing. It’s something that just satis-fies their weekend, maybe even weekdays. This campaign, isn’t really enforcing the whole “don’t smoke” concept. It’s more about the consequences. Those conse-quences in this case, being lung cancer. Cancer isn’t something that comes into mind, when smoking. They aren’t aware of the harm that they are doing to their bodies, acting so careless, not really paying attention to what may happen to them. We are promoting, in a negative way lung cancer. We are always pro-moting, that there is still hope. These teenagers smoking still have time to stop, and realize that there is much more out there than just a cigarette.

The objective of our project, be-gan with the idea of helping the environment in a creative an dif-ferent way. Most people are aware of green house gases and trash in the city, but not everyone knows what happens in the sea, and our water bodies. Trash is everywhere and people need to learn that the world we live in is not a giant trash can. With our project, we are supporting sea life and cre-ating awareness, in our posters, flyers, etc. We are not asking for anything, we are using our skill and knowledge to teach people about what the consequences of their actions lead to, because after all, the ones affected are not us.

We tried to simulate what most fishes suffer from by designing a poster that is interactive to the crowd. We placed fishes in-side a poster that generates the image of the plastic rings of six packs. They have their tail facing out with the text “save me” to impulse people into taking out the fish and learning, this way by knowing what is happening they are helping sea life already. We also have turtle shaped fly-ers that include fun facts and a motto we found in internet that we believed was appropriate for the cause: “You’re the solution to pollution. Don’t be part of the problem.”
