LONDON TASTER COURSE PROGRAMME
WHAT IS THE LONDON TASTER COURSE PROGRAMME
The London Taster Course Programme aims to provide students, looking towards starting university in September 2012 (currently in year 12), with a taste of what life at a university in London is like. Through your chosen course you will experi-ence the different teaching methods used by university academics and gain an insight into the additional facilities available, whilst meeting students from across the UK.
You can choose a course from a variety of subjects within 22 university institutions, including courses organised by The Careers Group, University of London. Courses range from voice and drama, to medicine and nursing, to computing and business.
Where can I find out more about the courses on offer?A full list of taster courses is on our website www.london.ac.uk/tasters. Alternatively,visit your school/college careers centre to view the London Taster Course Programme brochure.
How do I apply for a course?You can apply by completing the online application form via the website: www.london.ac.uk/tasters.
When do the courses take place?The courses are held between February and July 2011.
How long do the courses run for?The courses run from half-a-day to one week.

Do I have to stay overnight at the university?No. The courses are non-residential, unless otherwise stated in the brochure.
Where are the courses located?The courses are held within the College/ University departments, to enable students to receive the full university experience. Please refer to the map in the London Taster Course Programme brochure for further guidance or the website: www.london.ac.uk/tasters.
Will I have to pay for the course(s)?No. All the courses are free of charge, although students are responsible for their own travel and food expenses.
