Before you design to design
• Target audience• Content• Image area• Font• Color
Consider these five things before you design to design:
Typefaces
• Text is a powerful visual element when used well.
• Spend time choosing an appropriate typeface for your posters/booklets/presentations.
• Different fonts convey differents meanings
Why do font choices matter?
Typography provides that at-a-glance first impression that people judge the rest of the design by. So your font choices need to be purposeful and appropriate.

• The most important element on the poster should be the most prominent
• Place the element in a shape that's different from other on the page, make it the boldest, biggest,

• Allow the eye to "rest“• Make fonts clear and easier to read• Resist the urge to fill entire space with words,
shapes, etc.
• Create original artwork,• Manipulate images, • Retouch photographs, Repair damaged
images,• Create graphics for websites, mobile
apps, etc
It can be used to:
• Default file format is .psd
• Typical image formats: .jpg, .png, .gif
• Other formats: PDF, .tiff, etc
